Suggestion: Monumental Damage Resistance

Perhaps it's just me but without the caption I would not have recognized the pilar in the back to be the Washington Monument.

What about a clearer depiction of the monument still standing up?

I don't think the suggestion is very recognizable as the Washington Monument due to the lack of any other recognizable scenery: it just looks like an obelisk at the edge of the sea.

Eh, what monument it actually is is irrelevant. It looks like a single man-made tower standing up, while surrounded by sand. Would be better if the image has some ruins around, though.

With the Capitol in the background?

this trope is more post-apocalyptic than... current-apocalyptic? so I don't think that works. The statue of liberty is a lot more recognizable than the washington monument though.
