Why oh why do Wanda Pierces Jokes get their own character page? Sweet Jesus.
"It's just a show; I should really just relax"I think we should be trying to get to a point where we're ready to cut and merge pages
Absolute destiny... apeachalypse?Finished a deep clean of Characters.Bojack Horseman The Horseman Himself Tropes A To D
Wanda's joke characters and other in-universe fictional characters could possibly be lumped together in a Bo Jack Horseman Fictional Characters page. If we're keeping this information.
Look at all that shiny stuff ain't they prettyWanda Pierces Jokes is an enormous mess of shoehorning reminiscent of The Ugly Barnacle, and most of the examples aren't even character tropes. The only valid examples are:
- Apple of Discord
- Brick Joke
- No Ending
- "Shaggy Dog" Story
- Interspecies Romance (technically true, but is that really worth noting for this show?)
None of these are really character tropes. I motion that these be moved to the main page, and the page be cut.
"It's just a show; I should really just relax"Seconded.
Cut some characters from Characters.Bojack Horseman One Shot And Bit Characters who seemed too minor to even warrant a folder
Absolute destiny... apeachalypse?Yeah, characters who only appear in part of an episode probably don't really need folders. Especially if they only 'appear' in a joke it takes another character a minute or two to tell, and even more so if they're almost completely spoilered for some reason.

Yeah, Pam and recurring background characters like the Party Lemurs don't need folders. Also started cleanup on Characters.Bojack Horse Man Sarah Lynn. I got about halfway through C, so I could really use some help
Absolute destiny... apeachalypse?Clipped the S-Y section for the Sarah Lynn page.
Is this enough context to restore this example?
- Desperately Craves Affection: As a child, Sarah Lynn just wanted the approval of the adults around her, even when they blatantly ignored her wishes or taught her terrible lessons.
That's definitely better. Maybe we could add something about how that desire to be loved mutates into an unhealthy hunger for fame and attention?
can do! (also trimmed out a bunch of other tropes and rewrote some descriptions)
Absolute destiny... apeachalypse?Cool! I started but didn't quite finish L-R (from the bottom up).
... oh my god I am so happy this thread exists. These pages are a mess and the sheer number of them means finding a particular character is a huge pain in the ass.
Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them.Feel free to stay a while and help. (the sheer number of subpages is probably something we're gonna have to deal with at some point)
Removed Red links to Wanda Pierce's Jokes, and got about halfway through I on the G-K folder for Sarah Lynn
Absolute destiny... apeachalypse?I think Sarah Lynn might finally be cleaned to a reasonable standard
Absolute destiny... apeachalypse?I would recommend merging Bojack Horseman - One Shot and Bit Characters with BoJack Horseman - Other Characters, and Secretariat Biopic (the only fleshed out entry is for fictional Secretariat) Bojack Horseman - Historical Characters (which discussed fictional portrayals of Secretariat).
"It's just a show; I should really just relax"Working on Hollyhock's page and found this.
- Character Development: While she's a Static Character, Pre-Hollywoo Hollyhock and Post-Hollywoo Hollyhock are two different people.
Excuse me a moment *gets up, bangs head against wall*
Absolute destiny... apeachalypse?BoJack Horseman - Other Characters has a section for Pacific Ocean City, a setting. This seems inappropriate. Should these tropes be migrated elsewhere?
"It's just a show; I should really just relax"I'd say maybe treat it as Pacific Ocean City Citizens, or something, but as written, I think those are mostly main page tropes.
Well, that's... something.
I trimmed down the Secretariat and Jeffretariat character pages to roughly half their length, but have left the character page for Secretariat on the Biopic untouched as it contains many elements (Adaptational Ugliness, Adaptational Heroism, etc.) that do belong there as opposed to on the Historical Characters page.
This is my favorite show of all time, but it's also one of the most bafflingly bloated pages on the wiki. Sometimes that's fun to read...often it just makes me think, "do we need this much on a character we saw for maybe two episodes max?" Plus it's jarring how much of this page was updated consistently up to around season 3, but not so much afterwards.
There's a lot of "Adaptational X" tropes listed for in-universe adaptations, taking up a big chunk of the Tropes A to B page. How do we feel about that?
I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe.
Thinking about it more, I think we can cut Pam's whole character writeup. Thoughts?
