  • Real Name: Violet Sharm
  • Superhero Name: Judgement
  • Age: 21
  • Appearance: Always dressed beautifully in either white or crimson she is the very definition of the upper class style. Blonde hair and more filled out in terms of body. Non-ideal faceclaim with less ridiculous hair and white and reds rather then blues.
  • Personality: "Obey the law and you will be blessed with fortune." those are the words that she lives by, and by her own thoughts considers anyone who even slightly goes against her own desire as being lesser. That being said she sees it as her purpose in life to 'give to those beneath her' as a true member of high society should.

  • Powers: Angelic Enforcement: The ability to call forth a squad of 'angelic' warriors to fight for her aid. The stronger the angel species she calls upon the lower the amount she can bring forth is. For example she could summon 50 messenger angels in order to scout and feed her information, but only a handful of Powers or Virtues, and only a single Throne or Cheribium. Beyond this she has to call judgement upon those she calls the angels to battle with. As angels are beings of pure order the one who commands them needs to ensure that the actions are never used to cast doubt onto their justice. Which is to say that the amount of punishment called forth has to equal the crime. And beyond that if she regulates their actions in anger or despair the angels will lose their favor with her and refuse to answer her calls. She walks a thin tightrope of general and servant to the beings of power.
  • Gear: A rapier that she keeps more for show then anything else.
  • Backstory: Raised as the heiress to a sizable fortune Violet grew detached from the world, viewing those from outside of her station in life as nothing more important then wooden puppets that were set up to take space in the world. As a person she could hardly be described as human due to this sort of warped perspective. However this attitude shifted one day when her life was saved during a heist turned hostage situation, a teller volunteering in her place to be a sacrifice for the robbers. The man lost his life but changed her thinking.

When her powers manifested they came with a voice in her mind, simply saying 'enforce the order of the world'. In her mind an orderly world is one where the law is enforced, through given her sizable wealth the laws she doesn't like can be shifted with enough money put forward. While this makes her easily abrasive toward more free minded people she isn't impossible to get along with. After all, even a common person had saved her life at some point.

  • Real Name: Elaine Rivers (Actual name: Brooke Winters)

  • Superhero Name: Stinger

  • Age: 19

  • Appearance: When she's not busy wearing another face. Her super outfit is a full, dark blue skintight suit, with a harness and belt for holding various gadgets, and a high-tech bracer on her left arm, as well as armouring in several places.

  • Personality: "Elaine" is hard to place down in words to describe how she is. She seems to change demeanour and attitude from moment to moment, person to person, but generally seems to be a nice person.

    • Of course, this is merely what you'd expect from someone trained in espionage. Brooke isn't afraid to be manipulative, conniving and a liar. But she does it all out of a sense of duty, her goal being to do (almost) whatever it takes to keep people, especially non-metahumans, safe. She harbors a deep mistrust of supers, believing they need to be held on a tighter leash. However, she is not a murderer. Maim or seriously injure, yes, but she's not a murderer, and is not prepared to kill or support killing to achieve the world she envisions, a world where people are safe from fights between supers. To the point one might say she's lost who she once was to her cynicism.

  • Powers: None

  • Gear:

    • Multi-Purpose Arm Brace: Brooke's high-tech arm bracer has a multitude of functions. It's a communicator, personal computer and terminal for her gadgets, as well as housing the eponymous "stinger", an ultra-durable and strong wire that can be used for grappling or as a taser, and various other cables for electronic hacking.

    • Anti-Psy Stud: A small, almost unnoticeable flesh-coloured ear stud that protects Brooke from mind-reading and various other attempts from gleaning her true intentions. She's essentially a blind spot for such things.

    • Shock Dart Launcher: A handgun modified to fire darts which deliver a brief incapacitating shock to whatever it hits. Also short circuits unprotected electronics.

    • Explosives: Brooke carries a variety of less-than-lethal explosives. Shock grenades, flash grenades, smoke grenades, concussion grenades, if you can name it she has it. Naturally, she carries countermeasures for herself.

  • Backstory: "Elaine's" life is pretty average and unassuming, being a middle-class girl noted for having an aptitude with technology, who recently moved to the city in the hopes of furthering her hero training at the new Saint University, another hopeful who wants to one day fill the shoes left behind from the icon.

    • At least that's what her cover file says what role she has to play. In reality, Brooke is a member of the Association for Espionage and General Investigation of Supers AKA AEGIS, a shadowy organization of non-metas dedicated to being a watchdog on metahumans in order to ensure the safety of non-metas. Many years ago, before she was a member, Brooke's older sister got caught in the crossfire between a hero and a villain, being seriously injured and hospitalized as a result. Hurt and angry, she grew to fear and hate superhumans, feeling that they only created more trouble and danger as they were.

    • It soon came to light though, that her sister had been an AEGIS operative, and soon, she was offered the chance to join their ranks, to help protect innocent people before they could get hurt. To make a difference. And to one day, put more standards and limitations in place on the meta community, for the sake of those who had no powers. After the fall of Gaea and the unveiling of Saint University, and the recent focus on Class 1, Brooke was handed her new assignment: Infiltrate Class 1 as a new student and learn all she could, waiting for new orders as they came. So, donning a new identity, she set off towards Supercity and Saint Academy.

  • Real Name: Jae Lee
  • Superhero Name: Undecided
  • Age: 23
  • Appearance: His current favourite form, though subject to change. Stands at a usual 6'3" and is of a slight, yet toned build. Features are inhumanly symmetrical and lacking in surface-level imperfections, and his oddly coloured hair and eyes have no distinctive signs of artificiality. Overall unnervingly perfect physically, invigoratingly beautiful, and yet has a distinct uncanniness about him and a noticeable glint of coldness in his eyes. When angered, his appearance may alter and shift to frightening effect.
  • Personality: Jae is a person of many layers, and that's made most apparent by the different ways he acts around people depending on the situation. When meeting someone for the first time (especially a fan) Jae is awkwardly charming and seemingly sweet and kind, but the longer one sticks around the more an intolerant, callous, and narcissistic personality begins to manifest in this paper-thin façade's place. He seems to idealise black and white justice (villains = death + heroes = perfection) but lacks any real care for heroism himself; focused more on his ‘actual’ career as a pop idol and supermodel to the point where he doesn't even seek out opportunities to use his powers for the benefit of anyone (barring of course himself). His narcissism is deeply-entrenched and worsens into borderline psychosis the deeper one digs, and the frightening rage he slips into when pressed has been more than enough to convince the unfortunate who had to bear witness to it that he's something other than human. Despite this and his obnoxious attitude, Jae puts a lot of passion into the lifestyle he's chosen and genuinely loves his fans—interacting with them even if they're inconveniencing him and is willing to fight on their behalf in the case that a villain tries to use them to get to him. Albeit in a manner that enhances his own good reputation, of course.
  • Powers:
    • Biomancy: Jae has an intricate mastership over his own body, and is able to sculpt his flesh to a tremendously precise degree—able to shift the pigmentation of his skin and tissues, remove superficial wounds or imperfections with a thought, and even reattach lost limbs or other such body parts if the site of the damage isn't too mangled. He has complete control over every aspect of his biology; from his heart rate to his sweat glands—even able to manipulate the location of his vital organs and can hyperstimulate his muscles and senses to superhuman heights if he so wishes. However, the more power he pumps into his physicality the more his focus on his own beauty slips, meaning that he'll become horribly disfigured and even nauseatingly repulsive the more he concentrates on enhancing himself. These effects can also be seen if he's agitated or angry, but the length of time it takes to revert himself back to normal afterwards is something he is unappreciative of and thus he rarely lets himself reach a state where his beauty fades as such. It isn't known if he can affect others with his power, nor is he willing to find out—he is much more focused on his career and his own self to care, and the last thing he wants to do is make ugliness. Despite all his mastery, Jae still can't alter the positioning or structure of his brain—as such, its destruction means he is helpless to reform himself.
  • Background: Originating in Korea and of an unknown birth (though he implies he was born in poverty), Jae makes claim with great remorse that he ‘wasn't as beautiful as I am now’ and states it was only in highschool that he started to make a change. The origin of his powers is unstated and largely unknown even to himself, but at some point in time during his teenage years he seemed to spontaneously manifest the ability to sculpt and shape his own form. In whatever case, Jae entered into the public knowledge from a relatively young age by partaking in a local talent competition, and he proceeded to ride off of this initial popularity by immediately signing off on a record label as soon as it offered itself to them. Since then, Jae has become an endorser for many products, modelled for multiple clothing companies, and starred in a variety of TV shows all across an incredibly short period of time—later even forging a sponsored hero career after pressures from his agents to start fight villains for the public's approval. Although his television personality seems like typical factory-produced perfection, Jae is working nonstop and it appears to be taking a toll on his mind—spiralling further down into a superficial, narcissistic mindset the more his popularity skyrockets. Though that doesn't seem to stop him from taking part in traditional heroic activity if he has the time, and after a few controversies regarding the brutal ways he deals with villains he has (reluctantly) elected to attend the new Saint University in hopes of relieving the allegations against him and to regain his previously immaculate reputation.
  • Miscellaneous:
    • Is currently working on his fourth album, which has yet to be titled.
    • Has implied in an interview that his name is in fact a pseudonym.
    • Apparently has an exceptionally wide vocal range, but critics have pointed out the fact that his ‘live’ performances lack organic imperfections.
    • In certain instances on camera, his eyes seemed to have shifted into a reptilian yellow—most commonly after having received criticism or asked a potentially sensitive question. This has led to a multitude of theories regarding his true nature—including allegations that he is in fact a shapeshifting lizard or some other kind of inhuman in disguise. Jae simply laughs these claims off.
    • Apart from cases where the immediate area has been evacuated, Jae rarely lingers in fighting villains in public due to his power's nature of deforming his body whenever he's at his upper limits. As such, most of his fans assume he has some kind of superspeed or enhanced strength instead of self-directed biomancy.

  • Real Name: Mason Bridges
  • Superhero Name: Masked Hero Genesis
  • Age: 21
  • Appearance: Mason, more or less, looks like this handsome SOB. Though, it's mostly the lab coat he wears most consistently, he enjoys wearing typical street clothes under it. As Masked Rider Genesis, this is the base model for the Lightning Digichip, with the yellow becoming red when in the fire form, and white in the ice form.
  • Personality: A few words to properly describe Mason is excitable, hyper and passionate. Mason grew up refusing to believe in shame for the things you believed in, worked on, and fought for. His bracer is his prized achievement, and it's something he boasts about constantly when given the opportunity. However, he's still a nice guy, and believes in justice and helping those who can't help themselves. He also likes to think of ways of "improving" devices and designs...even when they don't work out the way they should. That time with the toaster oven still haunts him to this day...but his inventions will make the world a better place! You'll see!
  • Powers: Mason, without his bracer, is nothing more than a simple person. That being said, IN the suit, his strength and speed is increased, but not to insane amounts. Depending on the Digichip currently being used in the bracer, he also has a slew of options:
    • Ice Digichip: Allows Mason to amplify his attacks with ice and create small structures with ice.
    • Fire Digichip: Allows Mason to amplify his attacks with fire, and (currently in progress) allow jet boosters for mobility
    • Lightning Digichip: Allows Mason to amplify his attacks with lightning, and move much faster.
  • Gear: The "Genes-Driver", the wrist mounted device that allows him to transform. In addition he almost always has a sack slung over his shoulder filled with various tools and equipment, screwdrivers, devices and his Digichips inside just in case of emergency. The bag is basically his entire life. In addition, an iPhone that he keeps on him at all times.
  • Backstory: For as long as he could remember, Mason was fascinated by the concept of SCIENCE! Probably not at all helped that his family were deep into the concepts of science as well. His mom more than any of them, often lost in her own world she found herself flying solo for quite some time. However, as expected as it was, her experiments would be the death of her, quite literally. She left no legacy and her name was ultimately forgotten in the scientific community, a fate that Mason deemed nothing short of horrific. All that time, all that effort, was gone simply because she couldn't make a name for herself. Mason maintained that if she died doing what she loved, then there was no point in being upset about it; it was her drive, her dream, her ambition and he wanted to maintain that through her wishes. So, with his drive set, he created the Genes-Driver and made a goal: to ensure that his name would be at least passed down and remember through the ages, no matter the stakes! So says Masked Fighter Genesis!
  • Miscellaneous: Gains incredibly random bursts of "Inspiration" at the strangest times, which results in him writing it down...regardless of the current situation he's in. In addition, when he works, he listens to a fair amount of "Queen".

Is it selfish that I'm happy as we pass the setting sun?

  • Real Name: Lily Aquatos
  • Superhero Name: Whirlpool
  • Age: 19
  • Appearance: 5'6". Disciplined demeanour, holds herself in a composed and straightened manner. Somewhat subdued facial expressions; dislikes showing emotion for whatever reason. Graceful movements that become most apparent whenever she's in combat—gains a deadly flow whenever she's caught up in the middle of a battle. Can turn from soft to steely in body language in an instant.
  • Personality: An intensely disciplined, yet kindhearted young woman who seems to be afraid to break the mould. Lily is oftentimes quiet but never quite shy; speaking softly but more out of hesitance that she'll say something wrong rather than any real form of aversion to socialization. She never really expresses her opinion on a subject unless pressed, and appears to be rather naïve when it comes to modern technologies and pop culture—albeit more out of a general disinterest towards the subject than anything. Despite this external delicateness, however, Lily is hardened from her training and quick to slip into a mode of precise yet deadly concentration, able to push aside her doubts and dislike of hurting people in favour of simply winning when it's required of her—though Lily still has a tremendous amount of empathy for people even in these situations, and usually holds back from killing her targets even if they've pushed her (to her occasional frustration.) She's also rather hard to excite and occasionally melancholic due to her emotional repression, and a somewhat dismal attitude and worldview can sometimes break through when she's under stress. Lily is fundamentally an optimist with a pessimistic outlook preventing her from trusting people from the get-go, but once her loyalties lean over to one side it is very difficult to sway her to the other.
  • Powers:
    • Hydrokinesis: As is typical in her family, Lily possesses the ability to utilize the element of water for both mundane tasks and for combat, although it is usually underdeveloped due to the focus on precision more than grand-scale techniques. Apart from obvious kinetic movement, Lily can also siphon water out from certain sources and store it in her body for later; usually from the moisture in the air or straight from a glass as is the alternative. It is uncertain how much her body can hold, but it doesn't seem to affect her physicality in any way obvious—though her mass may increase with particularly great amounts until it's released. Lily's hydrokinesis is usually harnessed for use in specific martial arts techniques as opposed to large area of effect attacks. Such techniques are as follows:
      • Point Needles: Also known as Palm Spikes or any variation thereof, this is a technique that uses tiny bursts of water in incredibly concentrated areas in order to attack pressure points via palm strikes—the more powerful of which can stab into blood vessels, arteries, and nerve endings and pinching them in order to shut them off. Due to the obvious risk of killing her opponent with this technique, Lily holds back tremendously whenever she performs this on someone she wants to spare; aiming more for limbs and to bruise than any vital points most of the time. It's also rather dependent on her target's guard to be down, so she has to wait for a proper opening to use it correctly.
      • Mirror Image: A duplication manoeuvre that allows Lily to quickly gain the upper hand in a one-on-one fight. By concentrating water into a humanoid shape, Lily can either create a temporary ally to fight alongside her or use it to fool her opponent—as she is able to switch her position with her clone(s) at any point in time at the cost of destroying them. Lily can construct these clones directly from water molecules in the air at a maximum radius of about five metres around her, but she can only create five duplicates at a time before exhausting herself.
      • Riptide: A technique applied specifically to her legs, the Riptide manoeuvre allows Lily to enhance her kicks and overall lower body in order to either sweep her opponent's legs out or improve her speed/jumping capabilities. With Riptide active, ethereal trails of water stream from her ankles, and she is able to both traverse along any water bodies as well as slide along on land and vertical surfaces by applying a constant supply of water to the soles of her feet. While not as precise as her Point Needles, this technique is far more physically powerful.
      • Light Refraction: Lily manipulates the water molecules in her immediate vicinity in such a fashion that they mirror light around her, enabling her to achieve a distorted/imperfect form of invisibility that warps her opponent's viewpoint of her. The effect is best described as kaleidoscopic, but she cannot completely conceal herself—it is two way, and so she relies more on their confusion in order to get hits in.
      • Whirlpool Grenades: A technique Lily herself created, and her namesake as a result. By manipulating her water in a circular fashion, she can shoot out deadly whirlpools in the shape of orbs that can suck in and trap anyone or anything that gets too near to them. Apart from the obvious nausea risk, these mines also explode after a period of time—which might be a dangerous effect if it wasn't just a simple splash of water. This particular technique is more useful as a utility than an active offense, and as such Lily is working on it so it'll be somewhat more effective in battle.
      • Vortex Whips: An early, basic technique taught to those in the Waters family. Lily swirls streams of water together in a manner akin to forming long ropes and ties them around her wrists, giving her the ability to either ensnare people and objects from a distance or cross certain gaps by hooking them onto an outcrop and swinging herself over. Lily commonly uses this in conjunction with her Riptide and Point Needle techniques, as it can be easily chained so as to draw her opponents into a devastating mêlée strike.
      • Tsunami: Her ultimate technique. Lily gathers every drop from her water storage and releases it all at once in the form of a destructive wave; wiping out all in her immediate vicinity at the cost of leaving her completely unable to fight any further. The move is unrefined and easy to escape, though, as her lack of training when it comes to more powerful displays of hydrokinesis means she is unable to control the entire mass of water as she'd normally be able to. This technique is technically forbidden by her family for straying too far from the style, but Lily keeps it on hand for truly desperate situations.
  • Backstory: Part of a long line of water manipulators, Lily showed proficiency in her family's famous combat style from even her earliest years; having managed to disable all four limbs of her caretaker in her efforts to escape her crib at the tender age of 2 years old. This sparked a rather gruelling training regimen with the aim of pushing her to her absolute peak potential when it came to her precision hydrokinesis, though the stress seemed to have some severely negative effects on her emotions—the girl becoming more repressed and submissive as time went on. It was only in her fighting that she seemed to let out the full extent of her rage and frustrations, becoming brutal and terrifyingly efficient in disabling her opponents to the point where it began to concern even her teachers. It was decided soon after her nineteenth birthday that she be sent over to Saint University in order to train her attitude—with her having already achieved particular skill and versatility in the art of hydrokinetic combat, her family wish to impart more benevolent teachings in an effort to balance out her cold efficiency and hopefully give her a more solid direction to her anger and determination.
  • Miscellaneous:
    • Lily has an interest in gardening and nature, and can often be found training outdoors due to the fact that she finds such an environment easier to concentrate in.
    • Dislikes seafood. Ironically.
    • By technicality, her hero name is a traditional practice in her family. Most often notable members are named after their designed techniques, and as such the best names are often intermingled with the... less than stellar names.

  • Real Name: Cole Streiss
  • Superhero Name: none so far.
  • Age: 19
  • Appearance: Cole dresses in a tight short sleeved coat made of black denim, a sleeveless vest with a damaged zipper that only goes up half way up his chest, and a likewise quite tight black sleeveless shirt that is quite flattering on him. He wears a pair of tanned leather pants with a number of pockets added on, which have a number of odd little trinkets and items - souvenirs from his long and arduous travels. Cole has light brown hair that fades to blond at the tips - his eyes are light blue, and he looks visibly scruffy. He has a muscular but somewhat lean build, athletic and like that of a runner. He has a number of scars on his torso.
  • Personality: Cole is a rather jumpy if deadpan lad - he's lived through a lot, and tends to jump right to fight or flight solutions when he's faced with hostility. He tends to be very sarcastic and dry-witted when he can, viewing it as better than just laying down and letting everything happen. He can be a right flirt, though this is usually more of him trying to enjoy his time instead of shamelessly going after people. Cole is enthusiastic about singing - he used to be a bar singer, along with some of his friends, and despite his rough and tumble outlook, most remark he has a lovely singing voice. Furthermore, he is also smarter than he looks - he tends to be a more tactical sort, using things around him and weapons before he goes into using his powers. There's a definite tendency of wariness to his powers, though he respects them enough to use them if the situation demands it.
  • Powers: Cole may not show it often, but he is an immeasurably powerful psychic - he can interact with his surroundings on the atomic level, he can read an object's history like a book (most often unwillingly), he can create illusions, his telekinesis is capable of things like flight (very VERY clumsy flight), forcefield generation, healing others, repairing damage to surroundings, and reversing on-touch effects back on to their user. His telepathy is mostly unconscious, and is one of his more poorly controlled facets of his psionic gifts - though he can still shield people from mental attacks and effects. While he can use a Poke in the Third Eye attacks, he despises using these - viewing them as intrusive. He can create powerful concussive blasts of blue energy. He can even reinforce his punches and kicks many times over, though this usually results in aches afterwards.
    • Weakness: Poor Control: Cole is the poster child of incredible power and astronomically poor control. Whenever Cole uses his powers, there's just as much chance he'll fail or use way too much power and do more than he intended. (this is done via a random number generator whenever Cole uses his powers. Around 40 to 50 gives him his ideal use of his power. 1 to 39 gives him a weaker use of his power (weaker as the number decreases), while 51 to 100 overcharges the use of his power [making it more overwhelming as the number increases]). His powers are also heinously taxing on his mental fortitude, and can crop up when its extremely inconvenient.
  • Gear: Cole carries a blue metal knife with him called Memoir, which is sharper and more durable than most known metals.
  • Backstory: Falling out of the sky is something Cole's familiar with - and as he showed up in Super City, he was distinctly aware of the recent flare ups of human and metahuman resentments. He spent a good amount of time on the ground, trying to get a feel for what was going on before making a move to try and sign up for Saint University. He didn't have good memories of a number of those present, remembering them as people distinctly different than they are, but Cole has always been a "move forward, don't move back" type. He knows they're not who he remembers, but old issues don't just heal up perfectly all the same. Cole is nothing if not a survivor.
  • Miscellaneous: It'll take a while for him to get used to the legal drinking age...

  • Real Name: Wilma Equuleus Pictoris Printer
  • Superhero Name: The March Hare
  • Age: 18
  • Appearance:
  • Personality: Upon first glance, Wilma is a Cloudcuckoolander through and through. However, under all the strangeness lies a startlingly bright intellect that doesn't hesitate to lend a hand, should she be needed—even though she may be afraid at times. She absolutely adores heroic epics and her Inspired powers are partly based off of them. However, it sometimes borders into an unhealthy obsession, which was how she got her powers in the first place.
  • Powers:
    • Paper Manipulation: Wilma is able to manipulate paper to form a variety of constructs, provided that the paper can be seen by her or is within 25 feet of her. The constructs she makes take on the attributes of the real thing. Through constant practice and ignoring all facts to the contrary, her constructs are now waterproof and fireproof...as long as nobody reminds her. She depends on gestures, so restricting her movement is a good way to hamper this power. However, she can manipulate exactly one sheet of paper by using her face.
    • Legend Forgery: By fabricating a legend that attributes anomalous properties to an item and believing in it herself, she can make the properties appear in the item. The attributes manifested will always be weaker than "the real thing" and can be dispelled by simply reminding Wilma what it actually is (several times if she tries to ignore the reminders). The more powerful she wants to make the effects and the more effects she wants to add, the more strain is placed on her. "Forging" an item which has a lot of stories behind it (like Excalibur) also takes a lot out of her.
    • Blackened Arm: Due to a Dream Eater bite when she was very young, she was partially turned into one. Her left arm and hand are made out of a multitude of shadowy tentacles twined together. Their ends are very sharp when she unravels them (for use as Combat Tentacles), and they also give her hand the appearance of having claws. Her arm can extend up to 20 feet to pull her to her desired location or pull something to her. Intense light and holy items can turn her arm intangible, which interferes with her paper manipulation (since she uses gestures). However, it doesn't hurt her since her Inspiration protects her somewhat.
    • Internal Reality: There exists inside Wilma a separate plane of reality. It's part of her powers as an Inspired, since these Mad artists can create their own realities. It is part of the Eternal Dream (AKA the Dreamlands), where the worlds of all fairy tales and planes created by other Inspired reside and where people go when they are dreaming. It cannot be accessed normally, and everything inside it cannot be brought out (as it doesn't really "exist") easily. However, it is the fuel of Wilma's powers, and its odd nature makes defending against mental invasion and manipulation easier by making such things "manual."
      • Wilma's Internal Reality is a two-dimensional medieval landscape made of paper cutouts. Traveling to the "side" is only possible if a door is encountered. Wilma can also manipulate the surroundings (because everything is paper), but it will erode her will until she is no longer able to defend her mind, which is represented by a white crystal rose pinned to the sky to serve as a sun.
  • Gear:
    • Crystal Rose Brooch: This white crystal brooch in the shape of a rose monitors the sum of the mental and physical strain that Wilma accumulates by using her powers. As she gets more strained, it slowly turns red. Dark red means she is on the verge of collapsing, blue means she is dying, and black means she has died.
    • Vorpal Blade: This is a silvery zweihander that goes snicker-snack and leaves enemies dead. It has engravings of rose vines all alongside its length. Don't be fooled by its seemingly special nature, however—Vorpal Blades are standard-issue weapons for those who fight Dream Eaters (shadowy monsters which eat dreams and hope), the natural enemies of the Inspired.
    • Armored Longcoat: Wilma made this longcoat out of compressed and shaped black paper and disassembles parts of it for ammunition sometimes. It is very useful against slashing and piercing attacks, but blunt force still poses a significant threat (since Wilma is still a baseline human underneath everything).
      • The blindfold reduces Wilma's paper manipulation range once she puts it on, but it also suppresses the fear she feels, because she cannot actually see what causes her fear. This makes her fight more effectively, but only within a certain range. And since it also renders her blind, she may not be able to tell between friend and foe, making this a last ditch tactic at best.
  • Backstory:
    • Wilma and her family have odd powers related to art and their obsession with it. Such individuals are called "Inspired," or just "Mad" by people wishing to insult them. A lesser known term for them is an "Alice," named after the most famous Inspired. Due to a family blessing, her whole family (minus the "uninspired" people who have married into it) is Inspired (a rare occurrence, since Inspired is based on obsession about art and not blood ties).
    • Her ancestors fought the Dream Eaters, hope-eating creatures loosed into reality by a magus family seeking revenge. Eventually, their whole family got into hunting Dream Eaters with their powers, since their Inspiration made them Supernaturally Delicious and Nutritious to the sordid creatures. Since the other favorite target of the Dream Eaters were children, they formed a hunting group under the name of "Clan Printer," by which even normal people could receive the power of their Inspiration to fight back against the Dream Eaters.
    • Wilma, being the youngest one out of her three sisters, still relatively young, and a female to boot, was deemed to be destined for greatness by the laws of stories. Therefore, she was sent to Saint University (with her consent) to claim her destiny. Whether fairy tale rules will still hold true in the real world remains to be seen...
  • Miscellaneous:
    • Anyone knowing her full and true name (which includes her secret middle name) can use it to command her. It cannot be used to order her to harm herself, as that would break the spell immediately and render it useless when used by that person again. In legal records, her middle name does not exist—however, it is listed in her great-grandfather Wilfrid's manuscript with a warning not to let anyone else know (all of the secret names are named after constellations, or parts of them). The manuscript is guarded tightly, but there are still ways Wilma's middle name could be let slip...
    • Wilma physically cannot tell a straight lie and must keep any promises she makes because of the stipulations of a family blessing that ensures her continued existence and counters a curse by a magus family. In addition to this, she must prevent her name from being struck from all records (on documents and from memory) or else she will cease to exist because the blessing is tied to the "Wil-" syllable in her name.
    • Attempting to overuse or use her powers in ways not defined by her own rules causes her physical pain and harm, including bleeding from orifices. This can be fatal if she does it too often.
    • Despite her powers, she is a regular human being and is affected like one, too.
Printer Family Saga—How It All Began
  • There was once a man named Wilfrid, and he was the first recorded person in the Printer family to become Inspired. Whatever stories he wrote in allegory came true, so he abandoned his tale-weaving and came to be a historian instead, only dealing in stone-cold facts.
  • Then a prominent magus family came to him, and asked him to redact any and all information about their concealed crimes he planned to include in his new book. Wilfrid refused. There was an argument, and the magus family left in a huff, later casting a spell to wipe out the Printer family through "accidental" circumstances.
  • Someone from the magus family stole Wilfrid's manuscript, and after many ordeals, he was able to get it back. Because he had written another short story detailing "himself" as the hero and the "magus family" as the villain, they had inadvertently spilled the details about the curse to him. So he used his powers as he had never used them before, writing for the sake of his descendants and for himself.
  • First, he redacted the details of the magus family's crimes just as he was asked, but added a detail saying that they were "uncreative and art thieves." Taken separately, it meant that the magus family was uncreative when cursing him, and they stole his art (his manuscript). Taken together, it meant that he had cursed the magus family in turn with Creative Sterility, which even affected their magic since it also counted as art.
  • Secondly, he made use of a pun in his own name ("Where there's a 'Wil-' there's a way!") to make sure that the rest of his bloodline survived. His words bound their sundered fates back together again, and ensured that they would be able to carry on his Inspired legacy—provided they never lied and never broke any promises they had. Sadly, shortly after completing his Magnum Opus (which detailed the adventures of 7 generations of Printers, including himself), he died due to overstraining his abilities.
  • Fast forward some time, and the magus family is back at it again, with many bitter feelings towards the Printer family. With their perverted magic, now only being able to copy spells and various Inspired abilities, they summoned a new breed of creature which they called the Dream Eaters—the old enemy of the Great Dream. With their new weapons, they hoped to be able to break the Printers' collective wills by having their monsters eat their enemies' creativity and hope. Wilma's grandfather Wilgefortz (who was Wilfrid's son) won a crushing victory in his time, but it cost him his voice. The creatures are still at large and are growing stronger every day.

  • Real Name: ACP-013note
  • Superhero Name: Holiday
  • Age: 19 (Manufactured in 2017)
  • Appearance: 5'11". Slim build; created to be athletic and flexible. Seams in skin where her panels connect noticeable if one looks close enough. Appears to have been designed with particular avoidance of the uncanny valley in mind—her skin is incredibly detailed and her features are ever so slightly imperfect so as to lessen potential uneasiness while interacting with humans. Still, her mechanical nature is obvious—and even without the seams her skin and hair have an obviously synthetic sheen to them.
  • Personality: An inquisitive, naïve, and rather quiet young lady who seems to have a great deal of trouble expressing herself. Whether it be because of her robotic nature or her poor social skills (or a combination of the two), Holiday lacks nuance in talking with people and tends to resort to blunt, sometimes insensitive statements—getting her opinion across without any knowledge of how to deliver it correctly (though she has a notable dry wit from time to time when she does catch on to the general atmosphere of a conversation). With an obsession with proper organization on top of this Holiday can sometimes come across overbearing, but she at least means well and genuinely acts tenderly with the people she's programmed to protect. Her status as an ACP means she is capable of learning quickly and is obliged to follow instructions, however this latter trait may become detrimental to her—she can be rather gullible and easy to manipulate due to her lack of insight and knowledge of the nuance in people's words. Possessing a determined spark to complete her objectives (whatever they may be—most often involving civilian protection as is her primary directive), Holiday may be having trouble identifying herself and the extent of her sapience but she is more than willing to push that all aside in an instant—becoming a dedicated, effective warrior just as much a patient and versatile carer.
  • Powers:
    • ACP Physiology: Running on a self-sustaining power generator in the centre of her abdomen, Holiday's external skin layer contains a powerful internal shell lined with robotic muscles and bulletproof plating, along with a variety of storage compartments that she can directly access via designated flaps in her outer layers (hence the seams in her skin). Holiday can manipulate every single one of these flaps independently as well as pneumatically eject their individual contents—which can include a variety of tools and equipment such as jaws of life, fireproof blankets, police tape dispensers, first aid kits, and protective earmuffs. Holiday also has the ability to mimic a pain response when needed, however this is off by default and she lacks any actual reaction to injury.
    • Nonlethal Weaponry: Housed in her arm flaps and lower abdomen are a variety of tasers, smoke and teargas grenades, sedatives and rubber bullets for use in combating low-threat enemies or subduing unruly or fleeing civilians. She also possesses handcuffs, zipties and cables for cases where she has to restrain a target, and her scanners allow her to ascertain any potential weaknesses in them in case she accidentally uses excessive force in taking them down. Holiday has free access to these gadgets and is programmed to use them especially for self-defense—for instance, her tasers automatically line her body with a protective charge to shock attackers who try to grab her even while they're retracted.
    • Lethal Weaponry: For when the situation gets dire, and careful subjugation is no longer an option. After receiving permission from either a closely trusted ally, three registered acquaintances, or a respected officer of the law, Holiday can be allowed access to weapons of more stopping power when compared to her usual loadout. In her advanced combat mode, Holiday uses a pair of wrist mounted machine guns of a fairly low ammo count (her storage is typically too full up with items for more passive usages), frag grenades, flashbangs, extendable blades for close-quarters combat, and a self-destruct function inbuilt within her core for when there's no other option. If a sufficient amount of civilians are endangered and she cannot get permission immediately, Holiday may have to request relinquishment of her nonlethal parameters directly from her creator—however, if he denies it she'll be completely helpless to use them. This combat mode also tends to pour more power into her muscles to reach levels more comparable to that of a typical superhuman, albeit at the cost of draining her power faster than it can recharge.
    • Tom: A spiderlike drone Holiday can deploy from her chest. While lacking artificial intelligence, the drone is directly controlled by her and even then has some basic pathfinding technology—programmed to automatically try and return to her if the signal is somehow disrupted. Tom contains a low battery life and a poor local range but has the advantage of being small and versatile; outfitted with a small shock prong between its mandibles and able to climb on almost any smooth surface using the suckers on its feet. Tom's charging port is directly connected to Holiday's main power generator, but the amount of wattage he needs is relatively miniscule when compared to his mistress. As such, Tom is sometimes seen plugged into a wall socket instead—which thankfully relieves Holiday of his added weight.
  • Gear: Too much to count (see above) and varies according to her quick-deploy loadout. In terms of external belongings, Holiday possesses a modern(ish) smartphone and (strangely) a pair of compact, sporty sunglasses. Barring that, Holiday tends to fit anything she needs to carry within her own storage compartments.
  • Backstory: The story of the ACPs began not with Holiday, but with one named Ophelia; designated ACP-001 and the effective precursor of her later siblings. Designed by the electrokinetic genius Alex Selby and his best friend Kaylee Thomas, the initial intention of this prototype robot was to be a personal carer and assistant to Selby's sick mother, which quickly evolved into a project of a much grander scale after the two friends entered into hero work. With the first ACP proving to be a success (albeit after a rocky start), the second ACP ("Hamlet") was constructed, and from then on production began. Selby's limited resources and his own attachment to his creations (he tends to spend a lot of time fine-tuning them so their personalities are distinct) means he has only created a total of 13 units since his first prototype, with Holiday being the most recent. Deciding to take a different approach with her after experimenting with a more adaptive AI system, Alex has assigned Holiday to try and fit in with human society and forge her own personality without external interference—while obviously keeping tabs on her from afar and making sure she doesn't stray off-course from her primary directive. With Holiday freshly calibrated and eager to learn, she has been sent to Saint University for prime exposure to the superhero community—which will (hopefully) also give her the socialization she needs in a controlled yet public environment.
  • Miscellaneous:
    • Enjoys physical activity; often seen jogging or practicing a variety of sports when the opportunity arises. Claims it to be a test of her reflexes more than an effort to get fit (not that she'd be capable of that anyway).
    • Originally ACPs were all named after Shakespearian characters, but after the construction of Cordelia (ACP-008) this practice was stopped. However, most ACPs are still given unique names to help differentiate them.
    • Holiday is the first ACP to not be constantly monitored by her creators, and by extension is not programmed to behave exclusively under their orders. Technically, this makes her capable of refusing their commands in favour of another's—an unintended practice first seen all the way back in the prototypical Ophelia.

  • Real Name: Sophie Dunbar/Sopharažel
  • Superhero Name: Angelos
  • Age: The Ageless. However, her human form is that of a young woman who appears to be in her mid to late teens.
  • Appearance:
    • Human: 5'5. Eyes shimmer with an occasional multicolour of light—brief reflections of her true form that tend to slip through when she's feeling excited or passionate about something. Has an incorporeal aura of emotion about her, which can sometimes become visible depending on her mood. Kaleidoscopic patterns can be seen on her skin under certain lights.
    • Angel: A searing sight to behold. The mere presence of this colossal concentration of spiritual power is enough to displace some items. Otherwise, it is typically too bright to gaze upon for long—but even so, the sheer complexity and beauty of this eldritch being can be enough to overwhelm those who get lost in its appearance. Its outer fringes are malleable, and tend to caress those who approach them with warmth.
  • Personality: A bright, bubbly, and overly optimistic young lady (who insists she's as such despite her actual age) that seems to only want to have fun and make people happy. Sophie is a romanticist at heart and tends to swoon over even the very concept of love, but her sweetness is somewhat undercut by the occasional double entendre or comment that seems rife with cheek or self-awareness that usually isn't seen in the relatively innocent seeming angel. She seems to be entirely invested in her role as a simple teenage girl whilst in her human form, though she is not without wisdom and grandeur when such things are necessary even when she lacks actual experience with a situation. Empathetic to a fault, Sophie is determined to make things right for as many people as she can, and is deeply saddened by the broad suffering in the world. As such, she tends to try and help as many people as possible—whether it be simple assistance in tasks or curing crippling afflictions—and has a habit of losing focus on her current objective when there are those in need. However, Sophie is not without fault, and lacks the ability to sit still and plan things out rationally without getting distracted; oftentimes bursting with energy and sometimes alienating those who she only wants to be friends with. Still, she has her principles—but in such a cynical world her lofty standards may not be taken seriously.
  • Powers: As an angel, Sophie possesses a broad variety of powers in both her human and full-fledged spirit form, however her relatively low ranking and status of being materialized on earth means she is not as powerful as some of her brothers and sisters. Nonetheless, she is a force to be reckoned with—and is capable of being affected by spiritual or magical effects to enhance her already present abilities. Such abilities are as follows:
    • Flight: In her human form, Sophie can sprout a pair of ethereal, multicoloured wings from her back that can tirelessly grant her the ability to fly; albeit only at speeds limited to what her physical body can take. She is able to hover and can even defy gravity without manifesting these spiritual appendages—though she cannot up and fly about while wingless and is limited to simply catching herself in space or floating motionlessly in the air. In her angelic form, she is capable of free movement unhindered by physical restrictions.
    • Healing: By infusing spiritual energy into the palms of her hands, Sophie can rapidly restore any human body she touches back into a pure, healthy state—which can also end up curing physical afflictions such as blindness or deafness if it is physically possible to do so (mental afflictions and their related effects are something she is unable to alter). The process can be somewhat painful, but her ability to comfort others using her aura usually acts as a pseudo-anaesthetic anyway. Sophie is notably unable to heal herself, but given the reconstructive nature of her form this is a point rendered moot anyway. With extra effort, Sophie can also expel demons from the possessed using this method.
    • Comforting Aura: Sophie's presence is constantly followed by a lively, warming energy that flows about and infuses into those that happen to be nearby; having the feeling of a distant yet loving hug that only intensifies the closer one gets to her. In her human form this is mostly suppressed, but in her true angelic state it is nigh-incomprehensible—an overwhelming feeling of care and passion that can quite literally stimulate the senses to the point of knocking someone unconscious if they're not prepared for it. Sophie most usually uses this to announce her benevolence, calming those who are stressed or nervous or providing soothing comfort to victims of a crisis before proper help arrives.
    • Energy Projection: Sophie is entirely constructed of spiritual energy, and while her angelic form by itself is usually enough to fill her opponents with fear (or subdue them through shock and awe) a spiritual messenger is nothing if not equipped with the ability to protect itself. Manifesting in the form of colourful, pinkish swirls of ethereal energy, Sophie's spiritual power can be released from her palms as destructive blasts or (alternatively) shaped into protective barriers to help guard her fellows. Sophie is unfortunately unable to shape it as intricately as some of her contemporaries, but her natural aversion to conflict means she probably doesn't care too much for anything other than the basics anyway.
    • Materialization/Dematerialization: The simple process of switching between her angelic and human forms. Typically, Sophie's body is burst open and instantly vaporized whenever she unfurls her actual state as a spirit creature, however if she rediscovers the remains she can rebuild them back into a usable vessel for her usage. When constructing a form from scratch, Sophie (or rather, Sopharažel) utilizes dust particles and other such common elements to create it; usually in a fairly flashy display of light and swirling molecules that build up piece by piece into a body recognizable as human. Destruction of this body will not kill her, but once outside it she is vulnerable to spiritual attacks—and her nakedness in the purest of spiritual terms means she usually cannot take much before having to retreat and recover. Due to the intricacies of creating a human body from next to nothing, it can sometimes take several hours for her to successfully craft a new one.
  • Gear: Merely her body and the clothes on her back. She's also managed to snatch a smartphone from goodness-knows-where, but excluding that and basic amenities she carries very little. And her angelic form carries even less.
  • Backstory: Sopharažel witnessed the birth of all things, and despite the goings on and the downfall of the earth below into utter chaos she seems to have kept her purity and innocence over the immeasurable myriads of years since the universe began. Curiosity overcame her, and her status as a low-ranking angel allowed her to slip downwards at will so as to explore the soon-to-be epicentre of bizarreness that was Planet Earth. The latest events of the 21st century have most certainly caught her eye, and it was with deliberation (or rather complete spontaneity) that she begged her Father to be allowed down there on some sort of lengthy assignment—receiving instructions to simply care for the inhabitants in their times of need. With the spiritual equivalent of a spring in her step she rushed downwards onto the planet to do just so, and has managed to construct her own human identity in record time and immediately signed up to attend the now famously infamous (or infamously famous) Saint University. Eager to please and bursting at the seams with the urge to help, Sophie's comparatively unhindered personality may end up causing a rift between her and her classmates, but she knows she'd be nothing if she didn't at least try.
  • Miscellaneous:
    • Sophie has often been mistaken for a cherubim (most usually due to the association with Cupid), but in reality she is little more than a regular messenger angel. Rising in the ranks of the angelic hierarchy isn't exactly a simple concept in the realm of Heaven, so as of now she is stuck as a simple malakh. This hasn't stopped her from enjoying the concept, though.
    • Sophie has turned out to be quite the competitive gamer, and has ended up embarrassing some of her watchful brothers with the boastful attitude that arises in her during these matches.
    • By technicality, angels are sexless as well as genderless. However, Sopharažel is under the impression that a certain type of female form tends to carry a presumed innocence that is only matched by that of small young boys and fluffy animals, and it is with this simplistic mindset that she's decided to consistently manifest in the form of a young woman. This naïveté has been very nearly shattered on several occasions, but her optimism and personal enjoyment of the form has kept her returning to it anyway.

  • Real Name: Marcus "Marky" Millar Kent
  • Superhero Name: Saint Lad
  • Age: 18
  • Appearance: Marky is basically the Saint as a young man filtered through the lens of someone who decided the nineties were an appealing aesthetic. He's young, quite pretty, with long, almost shoulder length blond hair, blue eyes, and typically wears aggressively Nineties clothes - a baggy shirt, a jacket, torn up jeans and sneaker shoes with a Tony Hawk logo on them. He...likes to skate, you see. Under the Clark Kent Outfit, he's actually surprisingly well built and muscular, to an almost uncanny degree when his face and general posture is taken into account. He has a variety of tattoos and two metal band earrings in each ear.
  • Personality: Marcus very much reflects the nineties mindset and tendencies - he's still very much a nice boy and aims to help people with his heroism...but he's also "extreme". He's prone to charging aggressively into confrontations, doesn't mind violating social norms in doing so, and can be reckless. He's incredibly Hot-Blooded, is quite loud, and is open about his interests. He's very much into the nineties hobbies like surfing, skating and such. And he's opinionated - as far as he's concerned, the time has come to move past hang ups over metahumans.
  • Powers: Saint Lad is basically the classic Flying Brick package with a few additions by his...ah, father figure. He is Super Strong, Super Tough, and is Super Fast. He is however weaker than The Saint at his best.
  • Gear: —-
  • Backstory: According to him, he's a clone of the original Saint, created in the labs of the Sovereign Sphinx, Malhareff. He then escaped the lab and saw the students leaving "this whack temple thing, totes looked off the wall!" And so he decided to enroll with Saint University, hoping to live up to the original. What he was not prepared for was the sheer extent to which people started imposing ideas on him...

  • Real Name: Octavius Klint.
  • Superhero Name: Dreadnaut
  • Age: Appearance wise? He's about mid-20's. Actual age? Well into the 300's.
  • Appearance: More or less this! Just with...a bit more shirt.
  • Personality: Prideful, arrogant, rude and mildly unpleasant to be around, Dreadnaut is cocky and brash and is eager to show it however he can. However, given his age and his time on this realm, he can back up these claims quite a bit. However, he is good for a fun time if you get on his good side and is a bit of a hedonist, but deep, deep, deep, deep, deep, deep, deep, deep, deep, deeeeeeeeeep down, he's a good man with a good heart, he's just better at hiding it.
  • Powers: Being a creature of the undead variety, Dreadnaut is not a Ghost Pirate in the traditional sense. The "ghost" aspect of him is, well, his ship. Tied to it by his soul (Long story), Dreadnaut can create "Ghost cannons" that blast bouts of ectoplasmic...stuff (He never figured out the proper term for it, but he does know they hit like a truck, hurt like hell and make nice little explosions!), but has a limited amount of shots per day, depending on what his Patron deems necessary. In addition, he can call upon the ship to ride it, allowing him flight and what have you, but only if he can concentrate on it.
  • Gear: His two prized possessions, his Cutlass and his Flintlock, the latter of which never seems to run out of ammo (you can thank his patron for that little bonus).
  • Backstory: Octavius Klint was once a rough, cruel, and wicked pirate on the waters back in the golden age of pirates. He and his crew brought upon untold destruction and chaos, plundering, pillaging, all that good stuff! However, like all things in life, you tend to get overconfident and cocky about things you shouldn't. Namely, a rival crew who is bigger, badder and more ruthless than yours. Thrown to the sharks, Octavius prepared to meet the devil and play a mean game of cards with him, when...SOMETHING appeared before him and made him an offer he almost literally couldn't refuse: He'd been watching him for some time and thought he looked like fun, and wanted that fun to continue in the form of a game. He was arrogant, cocky, snide, but could he truly back it up? His quest: Find a treasure worthy of the Patron, something even an Eldritch Abomination would be amazed by, and he'd be permitted eternal life. THAT...or commit three hundred good deeds (Knowing that his personality was so vehemently awful, that one was a given to not work). However, if he couldn't within the time frame? Well, his soul belonged to him, and the real fun would begin. Naturally, Octavius took him up on his offer and spent a good chunk of his new semi-immortal life...being a fucking hedonist. Well, now that he realizes that he's running out of time, Octavius now has to look for an amazing treasure he can offer...no matter the cost.
  • Miscellaneous: He likes Ale, a lot, and often "fights better while drunk".

Is it selfish that I'm happy as we pass the setting sun?
