As for the suggestion, I haven't kept up with the show in a while but isn't Lexa a spoiler? That aside, I don't think it's all that clear/concise — her death isn't that obvious in the second panel (she just looks more stunned than anything), and four panels seems a bit much.

It has been proposed that the image for Bury Your Gays should be moved to Homophobic Hate Crime in the BYG cleanup thread

Back in 2010, another thread
agreed to keep the image despite some people finding it squicky. I can't find the original thread, but it seems like it would be OK to move the image, and either leave BYG imageless or find a suitable replacement.
Perhaps a montage, like one of these from the work that made the trope widely famous:
