Seriously, if you put an image as illustration that's mostly text, at the very least the text should be big enough to be readable.

This need a much better version of the picture, or to remove it altogether.

Only way I can think of to improve on the current would involve cropping.

I can live withoit it otherwise.

I don't see any punishment. I just see delete.

[up] Same here...it's kinda implied but needs to be stated more openly.

The trope seems to suffer a but from bad trope name or a clear focus. The title and early paragraphs talk about punishment, but the 4th paragraph has a more relaxed definition which current image would meet:

This trope specifically applies to games that actually have (or fakes) the capacity to erase its own save data [..] as a result of the player's in-game actions.

5 looks like a delete option, not an option that deletes as a punishment.

As mentioned in 9, the trope seems to be broader than "punishable" actions. In this case it's a sacrifice from the character and in extension from the player. This combo makes it clearer.

I think we've got enough consensus for the concept, so 17's up and tagged. Caption?

If you choose this option, all of your save data will be erased. Are you sure about this?
