I think this page falls into the trap of writing about historical developments as they happen, rather than after the fact. I think there is definitely a trend in film making to be described here, and maybe needs a bit of a rewrite and redefinition.
It is perhaps debatable whether or not this constitutes a real film genre, or just describes a historical period in film making. I would lean towards the latter.
Optimism is a duty.Lindsay Ellis actually discusses the "post-9/11 terrorism movie." There was effectively no way Hollywood couldn't make movies attempting to tackle this topic. The trope isn't supposed to be "terrorism movies made after 9/11/2001" but "terrorism movies concerning or referencing 9/11/2001." Apparently, there are many Bollywood movies that concern themselves with 9/11.

At the time of this writing, it's been almost seventeen years since 9/11 happened... I'm not sure whether this article is referring to a specific time period of movies, or is referring to *all* post 9/11 terrorism movies. The article having the line "As more and more time passes, these works are inevitably becoming Unintentional Period Pieces." only makes things more confusing...almost hopeless, like *no* terrorism movies made after 9/11 can escape its shadows. That point is reinforced by the line "shows that dealt with terrorism before 9/11 tend to fare better than those made after, albeit they reacted in different ways."
If possible, it should be reorganized into a "The Dark Age Of Terrorism Movies" page, even though that's not a real designation at this time. At least it gives the impression that the movies described are only a phase in time...perhaps one that can be overcome in time, even if it's possible that the age is still on-going and any movies that only qualify as "Post-9/11 Terrorism Movie in date only" are Too Rare to Trope or something. At the very least, something should be done about the bias in the article.
