Looking over the page: I agree.
It's really just a broader version of Dead Fic that includes OC content. Just re-direct it to Orphaned Series for for the sake of posterity and cut it.

Make Stillborn Serial a redirect to Orphaned Series and cut the former.
Stillborn Serial seems to be about online works that were cancelled very early and abruptly. Dead Fic can be a slow and painful death of a work which may have been around for some time. Is this a distinction worthwhile to keep?
I am more concerned about Dead Fic and Orphaned Series describing the same thing for different types of media. Don't we have media sections to cover that?
I think it's because Deadfic is a very spefitic and pre-existing term we didn't invent.
So merging the tropes would violate rules about abiding by common outside usage and cause confusion. .
Clock is ticking.

I'd be good with just cutting it and fixing the wicks to point to a more appropriate trope.
Health sure is versatile. It's possible to be both light-headed and dim-witted. At the same time, no less.I read the page and to me it seems that it is a subtrope to Orphaned Series / Dead Fic when the fic dies in a very early stage. It still seems unnecessary though.

I used to plug my deviantart here but turns out the link was too long.Agree with cutting. All the examples would just go under Orphaned Series.

I don't see a significant difference between Stillborn Serial and Orphaned Series. I support converting the former into a redirect to the latter and moving the wicks.
Dead Fic, on the other hand, seems like a specific phenomenon, a significantly different subtrope.

I'll add my consensus to merging, so 9:1 in favour. Link to TRS threads in project mode here.
Consensus is in favour of merging into Orphaned Series.

I've made a sandbox (here) because the description itself could use some work anyways. By the fourth paragraph, the description reads like someone is holding a grudge or something. The voice totally changes. This problem returns in the last paragraph about Wikipedia's entry on this phenomenon, so I took it out.
I merged some of the rhetoric from Stillborn Serial, but the two pages said mostly the same thing. I don't think there's much else to merge on that front.
Look at all that shiny stuff ain't they prettyChecking in, since it has been several months. Is the sandbox ready, or does it need some more tweaks?
she/her | TRS needs your help! | Contributor of Trope ReportIt's been several more months. I think the sandbox is fine.
Current Project: Incorruptible Pure PurenessI guess it's time to swap it in, then.
ETA: Done. Now we can go finish the merge.

Cutting and closing.

Stillborn Serial has been around since at least 2011 with three paragraphs, a quote, no examples, and 36 wicks.
The thing is, it's just a The Same But More Specific version of Dead Fic. Which itself is just "Orphaned Series, but for fanfiction."
Not seeing anything worth saving here. I was all set to bring it to the YKTTW Crash Rescue thread, assuming that it must be some ill-conceived recent launch, until I saw how old it was.
