Cafeteria

While Yvanna may have been looking at Lucy, the NAVI was not. It shot out two more blasts of energy, vaporizing both the hatchet and the knife and turning them into fine mist. However, as if to prove Yvanna's words, it stopped just short of doing the same to Rosalinda, snapping its' beak shut. Rosalinda charged right into Yvanna, tackling her to the ground. For now, she was effectively in her power. She'd just have to hope that as long as she was laying atop her like this that no-one got any ideas...

"I assure you," said Hei's mother, "I'll answer all of your questions in due time. However, I believe we have a more pressing matter to attend to, don't you?" She pointed up towards Lucy. "This is what happens when the little people don't listen to their betters. In any case, your friend has managed some considerable restraint, but if we don't do something now, that may not last. We didn't want to kill anyone at this school unless it was necessary, but unless something's done about her, she could make Darkheart over there blush. Unfortunately, I can't think of anything that doesn't involve a more permanent solution. And I think she means something to you. So I don't want to have to put you through that. If you want to save her, I'll help you however I can. Though I'm honestly struggling to think of something that doesn't involve taking her out of the picture. If you know what I mean."

Between having his head slammed through a wall, being stabbed in the chest, and not being able to win over the girl of his dreams, Darkheart was having a rough day. This was supposed to be simple. Make Lucy accept who she was, kill everyone else, and then go to a fancy restaurant with his hot new babe. That was it. Instead, he suffered humiliation after humiliation, and his girl wasn't even bothering to listen to him. If she could listen. And that's when he finally put two and two together.

"That's it, isn't it? I accepted mine right off, but she didn't. Did she?" It was a lost cause. He'd have to come back later, try again. Only this time, probably not bring that thing or whatever it was out. Just have a nice, simple chat. That's all. Which is what he wanted to do. And what he probably should have done. Not that he did. Because he wasn't going home empty-handed. If nothing else, he could still make everyone who crapped on him pay. Make them suffer as he suffered. He reformed himself, patching himself up and making himself right as rain before turning into one large wave of darkness and threatening to engulf Sam and Omega both.

Hallway

Suddenly, the light went out of the plant girl's eyes. As though she weren't there at all. For all intents and purposes, Ever was now talking to a vetagable. Had the girl gone camotose? Was she simply playing possum? Or was there something more? And then like a flash, it hit her. She remembered the Green. Remembered all of the things that she would one day be able to do. And remembered that one of them was transporting your consciousness to another body miles away. Assuming that was the case, the girl was long gone.

The Indoor Pool

Jasmine looked Mike straight in the eyes, glaring at him as if staring right into his soul. "Look at me. I'm not any different from them you know. You think I wanted things to be this way? Do you think I wanted to be stuck like this for the rest of my life? I tried, you know. Bozo tried. We tried everything. Everything you just said and more. But it just wasn't enough. Because there are some things you can't fix. Sometimes, there are things you just have to deal with. Sometimes, actions have consequences. And that's something you need to accept."

Oliver's eyes widened at the kiss, but realizing she slipped a berry in his mouth, he understood. He thought. Her breath was extremely minty... It was nice, though. He nodded at the tree girl and waited for a chance to slip out undetected, though that never came. Ever slammed the other girl across the wall, and Rebecca showed up.

"Ah. Rebecca, just in time. Could you escort Oliver to the nurse's office?"

"Hey, Rebecca, that'd be cool, thanks."

Victoria nodded at Rebecca, but there was no smile on her face.

"Don't get me wrong, I still don't like you after that stunt yesterday."

She looks down at the K Oed Pacifier with a slight smug grin, chuckling a bit at the huge bruise forming on her jaw.

"Didn't think she'd go down that easily. I would have gone down with more of a fight than that. Man, what pushovers. Robots, pssh, laaaame."

And then Matten reappeared, acting all formal and stuff, even doing that weird curtsy thing. Victoria just nodded at the greeting.

"Hi."

And then she went on to talk about how she had sensed auras and stuff in the cafeteria.

"Oh, the cafeteria? Place is a warzone, there's tons of robots, more villains, some other people in class and a giant ink monster."

Victoria stretched, cracking her fingers. Her body was unconsciously trembling from the overuse of her powers, and her muscles ached.

Damn...I'm way too tired...

"Do you think we can restrain this chick by dumping her in a tight hole in the ground?"

"I'll keep that in mind." Mikael smirked back at her, playfully. "As for teaching, perhaps you could start with that portal of yours that brought us here. I would like to go back and help my class. Though I doubt they need help dealing with your... acquaintances."

He ran a hand through his hair, feeling the bump of his horns. His wings pushed against his coat, and he frowned. "Actually, wait. Is there a way for me to appear human again or am I just stuck like this forever?"

He'd seen a picture of the man who'd seduced his mother once, and it was indeed a man - not a demon. Surely if his father could appear human... well, then again, Morgoth didn't seem to care, so she probably wouldn't know. Fich. I'll have to ask Jasmine or Bozo. Or maybe Matten. Assuming Matten's still alive - I know I'd certainly kill her first if I was attacking the school. Well, one can dream.

"Tch." Hei gestured towards Elim, and his shadow Hydra dissolved into black mist that flew to intercept the wave heading for them, reforming into a massive gateway that would swallow the wave of darkness and deposit it...away from the school.

"Fine...the answers can wait." He reluctantly agreed with his mother, only blushing slightly when she pointed out what Lucy meant to him. "I'm not quite sure what to do either, Mother...I mean, Lucy doesn't seem to want to harm me, but I'm not sure if that holds the same for the others...and she's not exactly conscious enough for anyone to calm her down through words." Hei groaned and ran a hand through his hair. "Worst case, I could probably break the water main to try and chip away at the ink, but I don't know what that'll do to Lucy...I'd feel terrible if I hurt her."

"Oh, the cafeteria? Place is a warzone, there's tons of robots, more villains, some other people in class and a giant ink monster."

Matten clamped her jaw shut and began to rub her sleeve over her mouth after noticing how much she had drooled on her top. "Ok, it's not my birthday..." Matten switched none-to-subtly from wiping her mouth to rubbing her chin in mock contemplation. She had all but forgotten Prim and Proper. "Yes, do what you like with her, Vicky," she said idly.

Captain Pollutrix, naturally, proposed a wise course of action, gathering their more experienced allies and rallying—as those in the cafeteria seemed to be holding their own. On the other hand, Warzone! More villains! Giant Ink Monster! Either an alter-Lucy or their own little girl all grown up.

Giving Rebecca a pleading look, Matten, ignoring her own conclusion, said, "Well, perhaps I should help the others in the cafeteria. A 'war zone' sounds rather terrible, and I must assist, on my own initiative of course, like you would do. So, in light of this new information, I gladly volunteer to free some of our classmates to assist you on your journey." She was babbling, but why give Rebecca a chance to say 'no'?

Matten cupped her hands over the captain's shoulder before removing them. On it were a half-dozen rather oddly colored 'frogs' with wings and a triangular halo. They were also about the size of a wallet combined. "I meant this as a gift for Reverie, the angel, but she left me quite rudely. Now, I pass it to you to give to another. It's perfect for surprises, and to show cute things to your enemies. Don't put your finger near their mouths, and I shall catch up!" Quickly managing a curtsy even while sliding away, Matten vanished around the corner.

Outside the Cafeteria

So, that's it... Much closer now, Matten could actually get something accurate. Two ink-monsters! Vicky was holding out on me. "Fairly certain the one attacking Samuel and Alexandra isn't ours. The other, well I'll share..." She left a phantasm before a direct traverse to the ceiling.
Cafeteria

She needed the lights gone for but an instant, but as her phantasm toggled the switch, Matten snatched the wave up with a half-dozen tentacles before vanishing with her prize, before it could go wherever Lin was sending it.
Training Room

"I almost have a hang on this..." Matten's very first priority with the controls was a solid hard light wall covering the room—including/especially the vents.

Watching the wave crash down on the nothing where it landed, Matten gave a wave to the thing. "Xošvaghtam, I am called Matten." You're going to need to know what to scream. She gave it a once-over. "I bet you'll be cute when I get you into shape."

Ignoring the ink thing temporarily, Matten glanced over the hardlight cage, she had raised in the corner. "That's not too small is it?" It was big enough for two feeding bowls and a hamster wheel. "Do ink things need to run?" Not to mention, the name. Well, its hard light. Only a first draft...

She finally waived it off before returning to the ink thing, "Oh, whatever, assuming you understand me, do you prefer 'Whuggles or Mr. Melty? Either way," she stretched a tentacle out, almost gently sliding down the ink-thing's body if not for its corrosion. "I'll treat you nicely, when you say 'yes' to me." Until then....

Caleb had a bad habit of sleeping in and skipping breakfast, which had been his intention before. He barely acknowledged Mikael - he seriously needed to figure out that guy's deal at some point - as he left but eventually slumped out of bed. On getting out of the shower and drying his hair, he finally heard the noises from around the building.

The pool?

No idea. Follow the noise?

Caleb hastily pulled on some clothes - mistakenly picking the partially shredded hoodie from yesterday but deciding to run with it anyway - and literally flew down the corridor. Despite his haste, the late start meant a lot of the battle was already done by the time he found it. Seeing utter carnage, he absorbed his own kinetic energy to slow down then promptly shot back in the direction he'd come from.

He wasn't one hundred percent sure where it was, but he had a rough idea of where he'd find the principal's office and found himself barreling down the corridor in its direction, simultaneously shouting his lungs out.

"Mr Saint? Sir?"

As Matten took off and left Vicky all alone with the unconscious Pacifier, Victoria immediately bent over, hands on her knees as she panted.

"I thought she'd never leave. I need a breather..."

She stands back up straight with a groan, her body screaming in protest

"But first things first...gotta get this chick restrained."

She walks off to the side a bit, kneeling down and touching the ground. The ground shook in response, information travelling up into her mind, revealing its secret, the resonant frequency. Victoria takes a deep breath, before looking over at the Pacifier to check on her stature. With a great humming rumble, the ground gives way to form a perfectly smooth, tight hole.

"No way she could get out of that with her hands by her side and nothing to hold onto."

She lumbers over tbe Lethal Legion member, dragging her by the feet towards the hole, and then dumping her in it, feet first, with a push.

"And just to be sure..."

She breaks down another piece of the ground into rough rubble, stacking it above the Pacifier's shoulders.

"P-P-P-P-h-h-h-e-e-e-w-w-w."

With her voice and body shaking as if the whole building was shaking violently, she collapsed then and there, sighing as she hit the floor.

The Abyss

"Sorry, lil' bro," said Morgoth. "You'd have to ask Daddy 'bout that one. By the time I came down here, I was pretty much done with humanity, so I never really cared to ask. And I don't think you'll want to be seeing him anytime soon. When he hears you turned your back on going full demon, he's gonna be pissed. So yeah. You're kinda stuck like this for a while. Though personally, if you weren't my bro, I wouldn't mind taking you for a spin."

By this point, Mikael's physical transformation was more or less complete. His skin was a bright red hue, and his body was as strong and mighty as Hulk Hogan's. His wings burst out of the back of his shirt and jacket, tearing it to ribbons as they flapped behind him. His horns were long and sharp, and could probably pop open a nice bottle of bourbon if he were so inclined. His tail reached down to the ground, tearing a small hole in his pants in the process. His claws were as sharp as a wolf's and black as obsidian, and his eyes were as red as hellfire's. As for the demon within, he was still managing to keep it at bay, though he'd probably want Bozo or Jasmine to give him some insurance before long.

"That said, you're probably gonna want a new wardrobe. I don't mind goin' old-school myself. Hell, some demons down here don't even go that far. Anyways, I guess I might as well give you a crash course! First thing you'll wanna do is visualize wherever you wanna go. Given enough practice, you can go anywhere, but for now, we'll wanna get you back where you came from. After you've got your destination in mind, you're gonna wanna concentrate. It helps to have some sort of medium you can focus on. Something you can channel your power into. I just use my scythe, but it doesn't really matter what you use. After that, it's as easy as snapping your fingers! So. Wanna give it a try?"

Training Room — Welcome to Hell

Elim quickly resolidified, wondering what the hell just happened. "HEY, WHAT GIVES?!" He looked for the nearest shadow, hoping to find something to port into or hide in, but there was none to be found. He turned himself back into a puddle and crashed into the walls of hard-light. No dice. He resolidified once more and looked towards the walls, desperate for any way out. Then he saw her. The walls were just transparent to make out Matten at the controls, and he knew who was to blame for his imprisonment. "HEY! LET ME OUT OF THERE, YOU FUCKING BITCH! WHEN I GET MY HANDS ON YOU, I SWEAR—!"

And then he noticed the bowls and the hamster wheel.

"...You're dead. You know that, right?"

Cafteria

"Oh Hei, you really are overthinking this," said Hei's mother. "Though I must admit, I didn't think of this either. Not until just now. In any case, it's truly quite simple. Turn yourself into a shadow, make your way through to your beloved, and pluck her out like pulling a drowning man from the lake. Besides, I've gained some idea of how her powers work from talking to Darkheart. Obviously, things didn't turn out quite the same with her, but I believe if you remove the girl from that mass of ink, it will simply... stop. Besides, it isn't as though we have any better ideas."

"Oh, I don't think so," said Yvanna. "I may not wish to kill anyone else unless absolutely necessary, but I don't mind dying for a cause. You want to kill me, go ahead. If you have the stomach for it."

Saint's Office

"Saint. It's been too long." Leon stood proud and tall in his black armor, as though he were the only person in the room that actually mattered. His bald head shined under the office light, and his eyes were clear and focused.

""Not long enough," said the Saint. "Last time we met, you tried to teleport a nuclear bomb into my stomach."

"Well, for most anyone else, a simple shot to the head would suffice. But you're just a bit tougher than that. Hence the bomb."

"I guess that's one way to do it. Still though, I figured you'd be a bit smarter than just teleporting in here in broad daylight. You used to be the world's #1 Businessman. Before you started trying to kill me anyway. And you're still a bloody genius. So come on. There has to be more to this than just trying to get a potshot in at me."

"And there is. You see, we know. We know everything."

Saint started to sweat. "Do you now?"

"Oh, yes. We've been keeping an eye on you, Saint. You and the whole school. Which is rather easy when you have someone who can send part of himself into nearly every shadow or nook and cranny imaganible. So we know. Including your little episode earlier."

Saint gulped. "Oh."

"Honestly, I don't know why and I don't know how, but it happened. After all these years, you're finally where I want you. Vulnerable and defenseless."

"Not defenseless, Leon. Never defensless."

"Whatever. It makes little difference. In any case, it's not like you'll be getting much help. Everyone is held up in the Cafeteria. Let's just say they've got their hands full and leave it at that."

Saint snapped a pencil like a toothpick. "If you've harmed one hair on their heads—!"

"Relax. We've issued explict orders not to harm a hair on anyone's head unless absoutly nescciary. You see, this isn't about them. This is about making a statement. And you're part of it."

"Oh, Mr. Melty," leaving a phantasm behind, Matten ducked the controls before appearing in the room, placing her hand over her heart, "Don't act like you don't like it. You're in here, all alone with godly beauty like me," she leaned forward, hand over mouth as if telling a secret. "And no one will hear a thing!"

A dozen tentacles curled around the shadow-boy, "And I thought I'd have to shape you up. Such a cute thing. Rather like Lin. I could almost tie bows to you right now, but" she opened her mouth and a long, black, dripping thing that one might charitably call a tongue licked across her lips, dripping something to the floor which sizzled away, "I could just eat you up right now..."

Tentacles whirled around his reformed body, melting together into an airtight seal and contracting and making noises as if chewing, even while he slowly corroded away. "But that would be counterproductive. You are not dead. You know that? In fact, when you say 'yes' and give me that pretty, pretty soul," one tentacle grew a head, which sent a lick across the boy's face, leaving well, dissociated remnants of flesh and essence in place of once living tissue.

"You'll be around for a long, long time. And with us so, close like this," she pointed to her coils and made a licking motion, ''I won't even need a collar. You're essence is all mine to follow anywhere you go. You won't have to worry about anyone taking you away from me. Isn't that nice?"

Her tentacles popped dozens more heads around the coiled blob-man, each repeating the question, "Isn't that nice? Aren't you happy? Aren't you lucky?" before licking at him, taking bits more of him as they went.

Hei blinked in surprise as the lights flickered, and several tentacles emerged out of nowhere in that moment of darkness to drag Elim...somewhere else. ''Was that...Matten?" He wondered, eyebrow raised in surprise before dispelling the gate. His mother's advice only made the surprised eyebrow go higher. Turning into shadow...he never even considered that he could do that, always relying on external shadows.

"I...I'll give it a shot." Hei nodded, before closing his eyes and concentrating. Nothing happened for a few seconds, but then Hei's figure turned pitch black and dissolved into a cloud of dark mist, jerkily moving around for a few seconds before quickly reforming back into Hei, who looked disoriented.

"W-whoa, that was...different. Really different." Hei muttered, before steadying himself. "I think I've got enough of an idea to make it work though...Thanks Mother."

Hei flashed his mother a grateful smile before turning into shadow once again and moving towards Lucy. While his movements were still jerky, the moving cloud of shadow managed to avoid the stray tentacles before reaching the main body. There, Hei jumped into the Ink (trying not to think if he still needed to breathe as a cloud) and burrowed in until he found Lucy's body.

The tendrils did attempt to snap up at Hei as he jerkily flew past, but were way too slow and drunken to even get near him, some of them even hitting themselves.

It didn't take long for Hei to find Lucy's body, still in the same position as before, eyes rolled back, neck craned up, and ink spewing out of her mouth. Several thin wires of ink appeared to be loosely fastening her to the semisolid cocoon the rest of the mass was built around, and looked fragile enough to be snapped with a bit of effort.

Lucy herself was obviously unconscious, and would have been for all intents and purposes dead to the world if she wasn't somehow shallowly breathing. Speaking of breath, there seemed to be several tiny air holes all around the cocoon, creating a dim light in the mass of ink.

The Abyss

Well, that was bothersome. Being so monstrous probably didn't help with the whole 'hero' thing, either. But he still kept his mind, and that was what was important.

Taking off the tattered remains of his coat (though even now it was slowly reforming itself, thanks to his power. He made a mental note to cut out holes for his wings) and tying it around his waist, he followed his sister's instructions. Focusing on the cafeteria back at Saint Academy, where his classmates were no doubt fighting for their lives. He grasped his knife, using it as a focal point as she described.

"Alright, I think I've got it. Visualize, concentrate, focus your power, and... snap."

He was gone in a rush of black wind.

Cafeteria - A Bat out of Hell

The demon rose out of a black vortex, before dispelling the winds with a beat of his wings. He gazed about to confirm he'd made it, and then his lips curved into a twisted smile.

"Ah... haha... that... is actually quite exhilarating." He flexed a clawed hand, then exhaled deeply, taking in the scene. He noted Rosalinda taking a knife to someone, and the ink monster - Lucy? - seemed to have calmed. Perhaps because that Hei Lin had just phased into it? "Well. Looks like I missed a lot."

He strolled over to where Rosa had pinned the woman from before, arms crossed.

"Hey, Rosa. Sorry I... stepped out, for a minute there. Long lost sister, you know how it is. I assume the, uh, situation is under control?" He glanced sideways at the other woman (who apparently wasn't attacking and was probably related to Hei, given that weird eye thing). Then he blinked in realization. "Ah, I should probably mention that I'm Mikael. Forgot about my little transformation."

"Close call" He commented. and looked down, wincing when he saw the acid pool "Very close one, think that always was there or someone put it there?" He asked, looking at the giant carnivorous plant underneath. The chain's other end formed a post that stuck to the floor. "Stay there, will you?"

"I think it's nearly wrapped up, but there might be more of these lurking, so keep an eye open and get a teacher, I am gonna check on whoever is still here" Sam said to Liam before going to look for other people.

Cafeteria

I hope this works.

Hei darted around the cocoon, quickly severing the wires connecting the cocoon to the rest of the ink. A tentacle of shadow extended out of the shadow mass and wrapped around Lucy as Hei swam(?) out, carrying her along with him.

Once Hei broke out of the ink creature, he quickly reformed back into human form, landing on his back as Lucy’s form fell on top of him.

“...Probably should work on the landing...” Hei muttered to himself, pushing himself up to check on her. As a precaution, Hei turned Lucy’s head to the side in order to allow any ink still in her mouth to spill out.

Training Room

"Yes?" Yes! "All you had to do was ask..." Matten cocked her head, appearing to do nothing. Nonetheless, he'd eventually notice the symbolnote  repeated around his neck, not unlike a collar and the very cold presence filling his body and soul. "It doesn't take anything unreasonable to walk beside a beauty like me."

And the feel of his soul nestled more or less everywhere in her new body—his former body—nostalgia. She never got the craving for innocence. Corruption had its own spice. He fought my fellows in the cafeteria, yes, but not Liam. The feel of Regalia on Elim's aura would have been near as good as the feel of it on her own. Still, he felt enough. I must be nice then.

"Oh, right 'what are you', my darling little Wuggles asks? Hm. You don't need that." she kept her grin even as Wuggles's mouth seemed to sink into his face. "Or those," followed by the eyes. "But keep these," she was breathing in his ear the instant his eyes sank into his face.

"Pet, you. Governess, me. I told you from the beginning, darling. I hope you focus more on that listening skill. Nothing to distract you now, as long as you don't go staring down my image in your mind's eye instead." She sent him to his hands and knees, only to a floor outside the training room.

Hallway—Where the Captain was last Felt

"Are you well, Victoria?" Matten didn't show that much concern, whistling serenely as she was and tying the chain around Wuggles's neck with practiced ease.

Returning to Wuggles, she added, "Now, I'll have you escort me to Captain Pollutrix." That detour didn't even take that long. And when the captain has a steed, she'll certainly overlook my little side quest. "By the way, I spent a fair bit of time on Lucy and Lin, but I'm not angry with you."

"So," Matten added as she tugged at Elim's makeshift leach, unnecessarily but for the sake of fun, "Be good, keep your goddess through these big, scary halls and I'll do something about the damage to this body of mine," she said pinching Elim's cheek. "And if I have the time, I'll even help you get that tingly feeling later on..."
