Creating German-Sounding Names

So, I'm creating a Constructed World, and I need help coming up with character names. I am going for German-sounding names, since I'm currently learning German. I do not intend to have any hidden meanings to the names, but I do intend for them to be consistently pronounced like German names ("j" pronunced like consonant "y", "w" pronounced like "v", etc).

I'd like some help. Any advice/name ideas?

Something I've done with some of my constructed world's names is mix languages- I'll take names from one language or several languages, and create cognates or other variants of the names using the phonology of an unrelated language family. I find it to be an easy way to create foreign-sounding names that cohesively sound like they're from one language without the hassle of making up an all-new conlang, especially since I have characters from all over my conworld. For instance, I recently created the name "Maumiak", which is basically a variant of "Mohammed" with Eskimo-Aleut-inspired phonology. Another example I have is "Tsadro", which ultimately started with "Sandro" (an Italian diminutive of "Alessandro", basically like "Alex") before taking on some Sub-Saharan African phonology.

So one way you could make up your own German names might be looking at some of the German variants of non-German names on Behind the Name, and seeing how they alter the sounds.
