Oh, I found it now. Funny how I missed something at plain sight.
I made a very rudimentary page for AL. I'll put wicks in relevant pages shortly. Any help would be appreciated.
You know, I haven't actually played the game for a few weeks (Armor Blitz is keeping me occupied for the moment). I think I'll get back into the game and resume grinding for South Dakota.
Lovepilled and HopemaxxingIn my opinion of this game (Laconic) Kantai Collection and Warship Girls meets World of Warships.
Seems the game decided to setup the uniqueness but most players already notice that the battle mechanics follows to World of Warships.
Hopefully someone will start a character page as well, but then again it might lead to loads and loads of ships.
Well I guess no one is gonna start it, so I did it myself.
It is hasn't being a year and there is a now a Collab with World of Warships lol
I know PR ships are supposed to be endgame content, but bloody hell, grinding 3 million EXP takes way longer than I thought.
Still waiting for the WoWS side of the collab. They just announced USN cruiser line split update, so I kinda expect the Azur Lane content is going to be implemented after that.
Lovepilled and HopemaxxingSo, the EN server recently officially opened and they're just handing out Yorktowns.
So far, the game's been a blast and pretty much instantly killed FGO as my phone game of choice.
Yeah I got this around the time the English version released. Haven't played much of it though, mostly because I can't remember how to make new gear. I do find it more fun than Girls Frontline which it's similar to though.
New gear mostly either drops randomly (or more often, parts for it drop, then you build the gear) or comes in boxes.
Fuck yeah, Akaga GET! Now to get the foxes up to speed with the rest of my fleet.
Also, with them and Hood, I now have a really solid backline available and I'm pretty much entirely comfortable laying off ship construction (except for the daily small ship construction that pays itself back via mission) so I can save cubes for events and slowly build up medals for whenever Enterprise is in the shop.
So, the first event on the EN server is rolling around this Thursday. If you want Prince of Wales, Atago, and/or Vampire, they'll be available as limited time ships and eventually will be added to the main gacha (but NOT medal shop rotation).
The first big event is expected in late October and is expected to feature many American battleships, including Washington, who synergizes strongly with South Dakota, and North Carolina, who significantly reduces backline damage from planes. Apparently, they have so much AA power that a So Dak, Washington, and Nor Cal backline is considered a hard counter to Enty + Akaga in PVP.
Thread necro? The game's still active so probably not, but no posts in almost a year?
Okay, anyway, n00b player trapped in the Foxmines. I've been grinding 3-4 as hard as I can (yeah, don't laugh, pretty much no way to make that not sound dirty) for the last 3 days to the point where I run out of oil and not even a single Akagi or Kaga. I know this can take a while, but how long is a while if I'm grinding the stage 15-25 times a day?
I modified my fleet to mitigate my oil consumption, and also since I figured I'm gonna be here a while I set up my vanguard to grind XP for Saint Louis while I'm at it. I'm running Brooklyn, Helena and Indianapolis up front and solo Ranger in back. Yes, I'm well aware that Ranger solo has no anti-air and that Portland would be a better choice if I'm running Indy as well. Reason for the first is I'm also trying to get Ranger retrofitted as fast as I can, so she needs to level to 70. Reason I'm not running Portland is I can't fucking stand her voice. Every time I was running her with Indy and first thing I heard was Aah! Kawaii Indyyy! was worse than nails on a chalkboard. I tried subbing Indy out with Brooklyn initially, but then Portland would keep getting MVP and I'd hear her win quote instead, so that didn't last long. Also I figure if I can level Helena a bit and get her skill up to 5 or so, she'll synergise well with Brooklyn in PVP.
Anyway, solo Ranger isn't giving me problems, she easily survives the 4 battles you need to clear the stage so I don't care that she's non-optimal.
Other than that, err, any advice? Just how long am I gonna be stuck in the Foxmines trying to get Akagi and Kaga? I heard there's guys who've been playing since the EN launch and still haven't gotten Akagi. I am right in thinking that there's no way to clear 3-4 in less than 4 battles, right? I could grind Hard mode til it lets me at the boss node immediately, but you only get to do that 3 times a day so I doubt that's gonna help matters much. Unless she ONLY drops on hard...
No, that can't be true. (shudders) Scared myself a bit there...
Can't think of anything witty, so have this instead...What the heck is going on here? That seems like the kind of emotion you'd put into a rant against someone like Kilgrave. Eh who am I to judge maybe they have their reasons.

Prinz Eugen's dub voice
"Prinz sounds like Engel from Wolfenstein to a creepy degree."
USS Marblehead is here, and, uh, they decided to reference something historical with a very, very dark altskin.
The three finest things in life are to splat your enemies, drive them from their turf, and hear their lamentations as their rank falls!also people are comparing her design to a certain doujin....
^ yeah, lots of comparison there. My guess is that they used the historical info and mix it with that H-manga Shout-Out?
Also damn, got Bremeton as drop from D-3! 8k saved!

Please remember that we have a rule here against importing drama.
Nach jeder Ebbe kommt die Flut. This game is getting goddamn huge after one too many mandatory app updates like 11 GB, seriously? How does Yongshi code this?
Edited by manhandled on Apr 7th 2022 at 6:51:32 AM
It was "only" 9 GB for me. Trying to figure out how to free up that much memory was a real-life puzzle game.
Brits finally get a new event after a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG time, I would ask for thoughts here but it seems not a lot of forumgoers here are fans enough of the game to post on the thread.

Ditto for frenchies but now in a fuckin small raid event, there's l'Indomptable, a Le Fantasque class destroyer, and Joffre aka the SSR aircraft carrier candidate for the frenchies, similar to how Impero was released in another small event. And a Royal Navy ship named… Enterprise.

So where do we even start?
The game was launched on May-June 2017 and was localized into Japanese on September at the same year. Unlike the other Kancolle-inspired games out there, this one is a shoot-them-up game, with a passing resemblance for Touhou series.
I think it's high time for Azur Lane to get its own entry. If nothing else, we should try to get some tropes and character entry going.
Also, how do I upload images to TV Tropes pages?
