Opened. The one on I Need to Iron My Dog doesn't have enough context, the Loserz example is a bit texty but can get away with just the second panel, and I think 2+3 works best from the Concerned strip.
I don't like the art style too much but panel 3 of Concerned is the most concise example.
Nah, the current one from Iron My Dog (the shaved girl◊ from Ow, my sanity) is even more concise.
"And as long as a sack of shit is not a good thing to be, chivalry will never die."It is, however, concise at the expense of context; the trope is about saying said phrase to leave an uncomfortable situation like getting hit on.
Panel 3 of Concerned can stand on its own.
We'd better use an image that doesn't use the exact Stock Phrase. The trope is about any lame excuse, after all.
I looked at the source webcomic and the context is spread over too much to make for a concise pic, so I agree that the former pic from I Have to Iron My Dog probably isn't the best way to go.
Wordiness aside, I think 1.2 is the clearest, while 1.1 may distract people with the robot girl.
Clock is set.
Crowner, hollering for a hook.
Thanks, it's hooked.
Votes bump; four in the green, only one in consensus range.
One more bump; three in the green.
Finally calling this one. The new pic's up and tagged; caption?
No caption discussion; locking up.
