Needs Help: The Scrappy

While the current image is the Trope Namer, I do feel it falls a little bit into JAFAAC territory since it just shows the image of the character. I think a good solution would be to add another image of the audience reacting negatively towards Scrappy next to the image.

Another solution would be to have another screenshot of Scrappy Doo but with thrown tomatoes photoshopped onto the picture.

This is another of the Eddit fiat pics. He's also on TheScrappy.Western Animation, and I think I like that presentation better.

I'm fine with keeping current for the literal-ness of the image.

I think TheScrappy.Western Animation needs a change due to similarities to the parent page's image.

If we keep Scrappy on the main page, I'd prefer to use the one from the WA subpage.

The one from WA is definitely an improvement over the current, which is Just A Face. One thing though: The Scrappy is about fan reactions in Real Life, and the suggested image shows two In Universe characters reacting repulsed (I guess? Don't know the work) to the Scrappy Doo character. Isn't In Universe hate for a character more Hate Sink than The Scrappy?

In-Universe acknowledgement of a character being The Scrappy can also fall into Take That, Scrappy!.

Should we move the Western Animation image to the main page?

Scooby and Shaggy are total cowards. Scrappy is a wanna-be bruiser with a napoleon complex. In that picture Scooby and Shaggy aren't reacting to Scrappy, they are terrified of whatever monster is just off screen that Scrappy is trying to pick a fight with.

But again that doesn't really matter here because it can be a good picture even if it wouldn't be a good example in context.

Ah, O.k. I just didn't have a clue what was happening there. In any case, still vote for that WA picture over the current main Scrappy one.

I agree the Western Animation image is better than just Scrappy Doo. Part of the reason why he got so much hate was how out of place he is to the original format. Scooby and Shaggy are lovable cowards but Scrappy, despite being smaller and thus more vulnerable, is a Fearless Fool who speaks perfect English compare to Scooby.
