Opened...not sure what to think on this one.
Re: OP's suggestion: the individual issues are a bit too cluttered, and if you have no knowledge about anything Marvel at all, you're going to rely on the caption to know that they're all from the same universe.
How about this◊ Sandman poster?
(First couple attempts a crop, tried to get the witches/reptile-thing/angel all in one shot, but it's still a bit messy.)

Either's good, I lean toward the second.
3.2 looks good.
Bigotry will NEVER be welcome on TV Tropes.I kind of wanted a Visual Pun because the idea of a magic sink is inherently funny to me, but 3.2 is probably better.

If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with?"An Egyptian cat goddess, a Fallen Angel, The Fair Folk, a reanimated scarecrow with a pumpkin head, two living gargoyles, some living nightmares, and some broody-looking guy by the fountain."

I've added that with a slight tweak. Locking up.
The image is just the Justice League, a number of superheroes. In the narrative level, they are an example, but in the visual one, they just seem like standard and interchangeable characters, and do not convey the idea. I think that a collage of multiple images from a same given universe may give a better idea. I will add my proposed image, but you may suggest other ones. In any case, the idea is that the images in the collage can be taken as examples of their specific fantasy types (Dracula is clearly a vampire, Thor is clearly a viking, Ultron is clearly a robot, and those guys with green faces are clearly aliens... at least, that's the way I see them)
