Sojiro was actually Philemon the whole time.

Sojiro is dubbed by Patrick Seitz.....

He's actually Nyarly instead.

Sojiro could be all of those things, and additionally, Sojiro really is Futaba's biological father.

Sojiro is actually the leader of the Defiant Dragons.

Watched the latest episode.

As a Breather Episode, it wasn't bad I suppose.

I liked that they went with the "I'm a dad" option for Operation Maidwatch.

I was not disappointed by the adaptation of Operation Maid Watch.

Episode 9 was probably the best adapted episode so far in my opinion.

I'm glad they've started to use some of the silly dialogue options. Also Kawakami doing laundry never fails to be hilarious.

I really hope when we get the back half of her Confidant it includes her reaction to making Thief's tools.

I once said that I will only watch highlight clips of the shit that matters and I made good decision. Kawakami animated brings a tear to the eye, it is the truth, the beginning and the end.

Trash your speculation boys it's obvious that the twist the anime staff has planned is for the Temperance Romance option to be the canon, and that's a hill to die on.

Man, Becky appearing was so awesome!

Wow, Ren grew some great personality this episode.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: Animated Ryuji is the best Ryuji.

Can the twist be Ren/Ryuji OTP?

Becky was indeed good in this, but all I saw was a youth asking a trusted authority figure for advice to help his very special friend and forming a very sweet, very age-appropriate bond of trust and friendship. Also massage service already, movin' things right along.

I'll be disappointed if after the next Memento's Trip or the next Palace, we don't see a couple of seconds of a massage. Followed by Ren leaving to go to Shinjuku or something.

Kawakami is Best girl of P5, and Its nice that the Anime did her justice.

Latest ep.

We got completely inconspicuous Spy-koto in the beginning. It was short, but still entertaining.

Still, as has been the case with this series, it utterly lacked the punch of the games, and this was for a small thing.

And of course, Chekovs pancakes are in the oven.

And then, for the main plot, it's Makototime. Makoto sure is Makoto.

What's the deal with Ryuji's suspenders anyway? I guess I always knew they were there, but my brain just finally acknowledged them as a thing.

Apparently Ren has a really recognizable face. Or maybe it has something to do with him carrying a cat around everywhere because both Akechi and Ohya recognized him right away.

I hope we get to see those weird walking AT Ms in anime form.

So this series continues to fail to impress.

Makoto's awakening lacked impact, just like the ones that came before.

I mean, was it always this way with Four? I liked Four, even if they kinda rushed through Social Links at time.

The 4 anime comes off better because Persona 4 is an older game with dated looking anime cut-scenes. There's technically nothing by room for improvement than a modern anime could perform at a presentation level.

And Makoto's was one of the best ones to me.

Also, is it me or did they tone down Akechi's self righteousness? Honestly, that was the most believable part of is act and sold his "fall" in my opinion. Need to rewatch the anime's version of the interview to make sure, but they definitely cut it from his conversation with Makoto. They pretty much defanged her there.
