I can support both suggestions.
she/her | TRS needs your help! | Contributor of Trope ReportIt's worth pointing out that the last thread was explicitly closed by Fast Eddie pulling executive privilege to keep that picture on both pages. I'm sort of OK with keeping it on Head in the Sand leadership, by I realize that the page has been made a no real life example page since that thread.
I'm good with the OP's suggestions, pending someone coming up with another suggestion for Head-in-the-Sand Management.
OP's suggestions are good.
Check out my fanfiction!OP plus changing the caption on Neville Chamberlain.
Yeah, any change to either page's image would require changing or removing Neville Chamberlain's caption.

Agreed, that's just silly.
I blame Fast Eddie for that caption. Mainly because he's the one who added it.
Makes sense, Chamberlain is principally known for his handling of the Nazi threat.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanHow about the bottom row of this strip http://dilbert.com/strip/2009-03-15 for Head-in-the-Sand Management
I think just the last panel would be enough.
Spiral out, keep going. The bottom row gets full context across...I think panels 6+8 could be a good compromise.
I think 6+8 of the Dilbert strip works.

(Annoyed grunt)Sure. Plus one with panel 5 for extra "management" points.
EDIT: If the "need to mobilize the forces against the villain" part is an important part of the trope, Dilbert may be a little mundane.

Either one of the images from 15 would be good. The first one is more concise, but I think the 3-panel one is slightly more clear, since it adds contexts about what the situation is.
Reaction Image RepositoryI don't think that Dilbert strip is an example of the trope though. The description makes Head-in-the-Sand Management out to specifically be about someone trying to appease an evil threat instead of standing up against them (as they should), and not about "incompetent management practice" in general.

...that's true. I wonder, then, if the Dilbert pic would be suitable for another trope.
Well, there's Ostrich Head Hiding, but that one already has a pic.
You've got roaming bands of armed, aggressive, tyrannical plumbers coming to your door, saying "Use our service, or else!"Clock is set.
Clock expired, but we still have the duplicate issue. As the trope is NRLEP, are we good with just pulling the pic there and call it done?
she/her | TRS needs your help! | Contributor of Trope ReportSeems good to me.
(Annoyed grunt)If I am late for the discussion, I apologizes. But if we are looking something better than Dilbert, well.... I am a fan of Dr. Seuss

I'd go against those, since one of the reasons in OP was that real life examples aren't allowed, so we shouldn't have a real life image. While they're cartoons, they still represent real people a little too closely for me.

Several issues:
- The page image of Head-in-the-Sand Management is the same as Neville Chamberlain.
- Head-in-the-Sand Management is explicitly a No Real Life Examples trope, yet it has an image of historical figures.
- Chamberlain himself is portrayed in profile, and the image is of somewhat poor quality.
I suggest:- Remove the pic from Head-in-the-Sand Management.
- Replace the Neville Chamberlain picture with this◊.
