I lean toward the one that's on the page now.
Personally, I can go either way.
she/her | TRS needs your help! | Contributor of Trope ReportI like the one it was changed to. The countryside background and her dress adds to the image as well.
I prefer the current as well because most of the trope description implies that she's a humble and pleasant person. Their expressions are significantly different and I think the current conveys the pleasantness whereas the previous conveyed more of that Silk Hiding Steel element of the trope.
Look at all that shiny stuff ain't they prettyI also prefer the current for the reasons mentioned above.
You've got roaming bands of armed, aggressive, tyrannical plumbers coming to your door, saying "Use our service, or else!"Slightly inclined towards the current. Her features are gentler than the original one, and the flowers she's holding add to that image, but her attire is a bit more revealing.
Spiral out, keep going.Agreeing about 1.2 having the soft edge on this one.
Check out my fanfiction!Seems like the consensus is leaning towards the new picture. Good enough, or do we need more opinions?
Nah, we're good. I'll tag the page shortly; locking up in the meantime.
The pic on English Rose was changed without discussion. (Editor was sent a PM.)
I quite like both as they capture the spirit of the trope — a pretty, gentle, pale-skinned (with rosy cheeks) girl. The new pic has the advantage of her holding a bouquet of flowers, which is a good symbol of this archetype, though roses would be even better.
Though I perhaps prefer the old one.
