Ah whoops. Forgot that didn't add notifications. Sorry, all.
borkAlso it's kinda... IDEK, but just dropping him in the middle of a conversation when he's not even in a place you can Hand Wave him out causes IC problems (not to mention that it isn't very polite toward Ferg, whose character was talking to Sweet Mask).
The voice of thy brother's blood crieth unto me from the groundAgain, sorry. From now on I'll do both simultaneously if I can.
Probably shoulda just done that from the start.
I grow stupid when I'm tired, but that's not really an excuse right now. I'll finish the conversation next post.

borkI'm not saying that you have to stick with Sweet Mask; I'm saying that you should write him out (Hand Wave him out, etc) at a moment where he can just fade into the background, not just drop him when he's in the middle of a conversation.
Edit: also, apologies for the grumpiness; I'm really tired, frustrated because of RL things and that's a serious breach of RP etiquette.

The voice of thy brother's blood crieth unto me from the groundI may actually drop out, as I'm busy with writing amongst other things.
borkSorry to see you go, but ultimately it's your decision.
Alex and Sweet Mask have been removed from the Active Characters List for now. If you ever decide you wish to return, you can choose to keep playing them or just make a new signup.
Icon by Civvi the Civilian!Right. I may rejoin in the future, but until I've figured out exactly what I'm doing with The Enhanced, I just don't have enough time to spare. Sorry all.
bork@Merseyuser: Your character has NOT been officially accepted (although I will admit my signup response to you probably wasn't 100% clear on that); you shouldn't have posted.
@Everyone else: Please ignore Merseyuser's last post until I'm done sorting them out.
Icon by Civvi the Civilian!@Yomegami: I have removed the post, and decided to withdraw from this RP. My character there wouldn't make much sense anyway. No worries.
* pokes Enirboreh for posts*
The voice of thy brother's blood crieth unto me from the ground~Enirboreh Rine can't see the guards yet.
The voice of thy brother's blood crieth unto me from the groundWhoops. I'll fix that.
borkAfter a brief discussion in chat, I've added a list of recurring NPCs to the OP.
If you'd like to make a recurring NPC of your own, feel free to add them to the list.
Icon by Civvi the Civilian!Wow, can't help but wonder what this can lead to...
HALOLA PEEPUHL!! HOWAYAAAAAAAAAA?!!Crossposted from the Signup thread:
I have a rule change to announce: From this point forwards, only canon characters and AU versions of canon characters are allowed.
I really didn't want to ban OCs. I'm of the belief that canon characters can be written every single bit as badly as an OC, and furthermore I myself tend to prefer writing for OCs. But pretty much all of the OC signups I've gotten for this RP have been of below average quality, and I'm sick of dealing with them. I did decide to continue allowing AUs of canon characters for the sake of people who'd rather write something other than a straight canon character, so there's that at least.
The people who were playing OCs/OC Stand-ins before I implemented this rule (which I think is just Enirboreh, Wikkit(?), and Desdendelle) can continue to play those characters, as they were accepted before I opted to implement this rule. However, they won't be allowed to sign up with a new OC/OC stand in after the fact.
OC NPCs are still allowed, but I'll be watching them very carefully, just in case somebody gets the grand idea to try creating an NPC and then treating them as an impromptu PC.

Icon by Civvi the Civilian!Well, I guess it can't be helped. I was afraid this could happen if I ever posted something here again...
HALOLA PEEPUHL!! HOWAYAAAAAAAAAA?!!After being super conflicted about it for a while, I've ultimately decided to close this RP.
My main reasoning is that I'm simply not feeling inspired for it anymore. Pretty much all the plotlines I could come up with were better suited for their own RP, and then I lost motivation for the one plotline I did find suitable for this one. To be honest I've been suffering a bit of a creative block for a while, which isn't particularly helping.
Furthermore, I think implementing the no OC rule also played a part. As previously stated, I prefer writing for OCs (for the simple fact it's far easier for me to just create a character than try to find a canon character I'd enjoy playing) and that all of my previous RPs allowed OCs if they weren't entirely OC. In fact, most of those RPs attracted reasonable players for the most part (including one that, like this one, allowed characters of all sorts). I have no idea why this one kept attracting crap.
I'm also aware that as the GM I could play all the OCs I want, but I don't see that as particularly fair.
Finally, on top of all that...it seems slow patches are really good at making me want to quit things. Even though I'm aware that just because an RP slows down doesn't mean it's 100% dead (especially when there's not a lot of players in it, like this one), my mind likes assuming a drop off in posts means people are losing interest, and that in turn makes me lose interest. I don't know how common this is among other GMs, but if it's not unusual I'd really like to know how they deal with it.
I'd like to thank everyone who joined and stuck it out until this point. Even if I'm not the greatest at keeping these things going, it's nice to know people are willing to give them a shot.

@Enirboreh: Since you simply edited your previous signup post rather than make a new one, I wasn't notified about your decision to drop Sweet Mask for the time being. It also seems a few other people were also confused about that.
I'm going to ask you to not do that in the future and instead make a new post; otherwise, chances are I won't notice.
