Yeah, Archer kind of shat on Medea.
I'm disappointed in the majority of fights presented here due to how choppy it looks overall, bad sound mixing, janky transitions, and lackluster choreography. I'm trying to remember the last action show I've seen from A-1 which was Nanatsu no Taizai? Can't recall if it was the same then.
In general or just skill set wise? Because I'm sure Medea is a way better mage than EMIYA.
If you count Gil being a dumbass and not simply nuking him due to arrogance as "luck" than yea, he was very lucky :V
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.Ha that's true.
If Gil wasn't such an arrogant dumbfuck he wouldn't have lost that hand of his, hahaha.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Medea can be a better mage all she wants, Archer still wrecks her. She's not that good in a fight.
And yes, it was explicitly stated that those two were the weakest.
At least Shirou Emiya inherited his plot armor from his dad and it was heavily foreshadowed throughout the whole Fate route. Whereas Homunculus barely does anything, and the author keeps killing potentially interesting characters in order to save this bland creator's pet.
So, it seems like the next episode should include Darnicula vs Shirou Kotomine. Can't wait to finally see it.
I love my country, I just hate its governmentHe did get pretty lucky to win that fight, he only survived to deploy UBW because of Archer saving him from Ea without being noticed. The anime of course changed this to Gil shooting the Grail and Shirou getting caught in the edge.
Ep's out.
Go find love and freedom from oppressors, you crazy Thracian bastard. Mordred is inexplicably having trouble with Sieg(fried) - I guess it's the Creator's Petness showing.
Also, how did they move this fucking battlestation over the castle without being seen? Also, Darnic's dying next ep~
grahHmmm.... I dunno. She only had trouble because Sieg kind of 'hit the jackpot' when it comes to another Servant to take form of, it just happens to be Siegfried who's almost Nigh-Invulnerable. And remember, the early time Sieg attempts to attack without knowing his limits, Mordred stabs him to death with ease. In the end, Mordred is able to content with 'Eh, it's just a fake, doesn't really matter.' I personally think that Pet-ness will show if somehow Mordred goes around saying that Sieg is a new Worthy Opponent.
Regarding powerups, a lot of people seem to overlook the fact that Kiritsugu was absolutely dependent on the powerup from Saber's scabbard for his final fight. He stood absolutely no chance against Kotomine on his own and was actually essentially killed seconds into the fight with his heart crushed. Even after reviving due to Avalon he had to push time accel past the limits that would normally kill him to keep up with Kotomine, again counting on Avalon to heal the damage. You could easily say he didn't earn such powers especially considering his poor relationship with Saber, and just happened to be the one the Einzbern gave it to.
Mordred having trouble against Siegfried wasn't really inexplicably and she was lucky it was Sieg with new powers he wasn't used to, not the actual Siegfried. Siegfried is a famous dragon slayer and his Balmung is specifically super effective against dragons, and as the clone of Arturia Pendragon Mordred qualifies. Normally she'd be at a great disadvantage. That, and Siegfried takes very powerful attacks to even damage due to the blood of Fafnir making him near invincible as he mentioned in flashback.

Basically aside from Dracula the Blacks threw away one of their two powerhouses because Gordes couldn't keep Siegfried under his control.
Honestly, aside of Siegfried, the Servant that caught my eyes so far is Atalanta. Still, I wonder if she somehow got screwed in terms of becoming wasted or not.
They made it quite clear how they managed to get the Hanging Gardens over Castle Yggdmilennia - Team Red knew about Spartacus's powers (because he was originally one of theirs) and goaded him into exploding to serve as a distraction so they could roll in unopposed. Semiramis and Billy talk about it before it happens.
What's precedent ever done for us?It was some time since I've read the novels, but IIRC Sieg was essentially done for after Mordred won the beam struggle - he was still alive but he couldn't even get up, the fight was over at this point. So in that regard, the anime is definitely making him look better than he's meant to be.
The Sparatacus blast was amazing. Jeanne is a real lifesaver with her NP here - the whole city would go bust.
The battle moves on to the next stage with the Red Team stealing the Greater Grail. We are about to get the climax of the first half of the story here. Poor Drac.
Vlad: I'm not a Vampires. Master: No you are the Vampres! And then Vlad was Dracula.
Mileena MadnessSo some Hellsing x Castlevania action. Poor Vlad; he didn't deserve this.
I knew that Gyaru Priest is a Ruler already, though I expected that revelation to be later in the story. His alias is still something straight out of a bad '06 FSN fic. Also, what's with the color scheme re-do?
So currently all Red Servants but Mo are directly under Amakusa. Hey, Red Masters, and probably goodbye? Hard to say. Also, from the gathering of Black Masters, Hot Teacher Dominatrix is conspicuously missing.
grahSo I'm curious, the shows YMMV page says Sieg isn't well liked in China so is he a full-on scrappy there instead of a base-breaking character?
Also why was Jack's scrappy trope removed?
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Coming into contact with the Grail and getting physically incarnated is what bleached his hair. He got the tan from staying in Iraq for two decades while searching for Semi's catalyst.
There are various distinctions between The Scrappy, Base-Breaking Character, and Americans Hate Tingle, since a character can't be all three tropes at the same time. In addition there was an Edit War on the YMMV page so a mod stepped in, removed The Scrappy, and told them to sort it out in the discussion instead of edit warring over these topics.
Lots of people like Jack, even if for reasons that would probably get them arrested if they admitted it in public. I've never met anyone that more than tolerated Sieg.
Well that make sense, most of Jack's fanbase is comprised of people actually into the fetish she is designed to pander too.
She should be listed as a base-breaking character then if she actually does have fans. Though I should prolly wait till further in the show to cast full judgment on her.
Boy is that funny that you've only met people who at best tolerate Sieg. Man when the characters VA says they will try their absolute hardest to make the character likable that really says something.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."I think a lot of that may stem from Fate Grand Order where Loli the Ripper is admittedly much less of a psychopath due to having a much-better adjusted Master (not much of a feat, since we have Reika on the other side).
And she also wears more clothing there (for a time).
Sieg's currently lukewarm for me. He could have been much worse, I imagine, but he's not really doing much to present himself in a better way.
@On Gyaru Priest: Right, that makes sense.

grahSieg isn't really salvageable. There just isn't anything to him and Higashide isn't a very good writer in the first place.
Suddenly I feel like I want to give Natsuki Hanae a hug. He tries. But it looks like his effort is still failing.
True. I commend the man for trying but its impossible to make a turd shine.
Ya know if there's one thing that prevents me from completely despising Jack is that due to the fact the real life killer's identity was never solved the Jack the Ripper Servant has this cool feature where its identity is fluid & can be summoned as possibly varied Avatars of who could have been Jack.
So potentially there can be multiple Jack's each a different person laying claim to the identity.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."He could be a cyborg ninja?
Mileena Madness
No, Hassan and Medea are referred to as the weakest.
