As much as this looks fun, I kind of wonder why the fuck they put the kibosh on Blood Dragon as a spinoff.
This is all more or less variations of the real world.
Even Primal didn't feel that different.
Author of The Rules of Supervillainy, Cthulhu Armageddon, and United States of Monsters. The official statement from the creative team was that the Blood Dragon setting would only work once.
Given the reception to Trials of the Blood Dragon, I'm inclined to agree.
I have disagreed with her a lot, but comparing her to republicans and propagandists of dictatorships is really low. - An idiotMy rebuttal to that was the "joke" Blood Dragon concept where Power Colt fought an alien invasion looked awesome.
And Trials was a shitty shitty game.

Who watches the watchmen? This game is my first preorder
Say to the others who did not follow through You're still our brothers, and we will fight for youI think I will be pre-ordering this game as well. It would provide some much needed catharsis.
Who watches the watchmen?I kinda really want a Far Cry with a Star Wars skin on it... Battlefront turned out to be Call of Duty with a Star Wars skin, and not battlefront at all.
Say to the others who did not follow through You're still our brothers, and we will fight for youMore like the recent Battlefields. Aside from the First Person view, perks and hectic team deathmatches, there's little actual gamepay resemblance to any of the Co Ds in either of DICE's iterations. Also, the soldier classes are far more specialized for certain than the typical custom characters created in any Co D. Heck, you can't even aim down the sights of some weapons; it either activates the weapon's secondary function or just zooms in the camera slightly with no ADS/scope view.
And if Ubisoft did copy the Far Cry franchise into the Star Wars setting... wouldn't that essentially amount to an open-world version of Battlefront 2's campaign, but maybe with Space combat? And that's assuming the devs can resolve the technical challenges involved in making that experience seamless.

Battlefront is far too small to be like a Battlefield game.
Also, it's the hectic multiplayer and twenty deaths per minute average that give it the Co D feel. It doesn't feel like a tactical game at all, and everyone on the server has better weapons and twitchier reflexes.
Honestly, are all of these people on cocaine?
Say to the others who did not follow through You're still our brothers, and we will fight for youEndless practice to sharpen reflexes.
Internet connection times are another factor. Those lucky few who live in areas with 100ms ping or lower are going to have a big advantage against guys like me with an average of 200ms or higher, because every millisecond of awareness and aim time counts in an FPS.
I'm seeing all these videos of people playing the E3 demo of the game.... from their own homes/studios.
Who do I sell my soul to to play this demo?
Say to the others who did not follow through You're still our brothers, and we will fight for youSome of them recorded at a show, some are likely on tester lists.
Who watches the watchmen? So I know nothing about the earlier games in this series but this looks really cool. I like the preacher character in particular - given the themes this game seems set to examine it'd be so easy to go all in on "Religion = fundies = bad," and even as an agnostic myself I think that's missing a whole lot of nuance. Plus the idea of a good, moderate minister who's depressed about losing his congregation to an evil radical one is a really interesting character concept.

Heck yessssssss
Will there be a pre-download option, or will the software only be available on the actual release date? I haaaaate the 15-hour wait time, and I'd really rather start downloading asap, pls.
Say to the others who did not follow through You're still our brothers, and we will fight for youSo, with the specs revealed I feel like I should give a warning about this, a friend of mine was in a beta test last Friday and apparently the game runs like ass on PC. Like really, really ass, even for Ubisoft's track record.
Locked in at 60 fps he averaged about 2fps with it constantly dropping to 1, audio is broken, and every team deathmatch ended in a tie due to no one being able to score.
Fortunately there are still two months before release so hopefully they can make headway on fixing problems, and I do want this game and want it to be successful; so if nothing else I strongly advise waiting to see what the final product looks like before putting money down.

I mean, no surprise. You'd be shocked how many games are a goddamn mess only weeks before they get shipped.
The scenery even on console games has been increasingly pretty as of late. Far Cry 5 looks like it will have impressive scenery all its own.
