Not Thriving: Horrible.New Media

I'm not sure if this subpage is worth keeping around anymore. An user deleted on January 3, 2017 the Creepypastas, Websites and YouTube Poop folders because they didn't belong there. (They would fit on the Web Original subpage, but that ended up in the Permanent Red Link Club due to edit warring.) That leaves us with the Operating Systems and Search Engines folders, and a total of three examples.

We could probably try and find ideas of what we could put on this page to lengthen it a little, but I'd personally prefer to just put it out of its misery. As it is, it seems rather similar to the Software subpage, which got perma-redlinked due to redundancy with Idiot Programming.

Just looked at it. When I think of New Media, OS'es and search engines don't come to mind.

As it's dissonant to what we typically classify as New Media, I will open this thread. As for ideas, maybe migrate whatever can be salvaged to Idiot Programming and cut?

Agreed that this doesn't fit New Media or Web Original. It actually feels like a stub at this point. I vote cut and migrate examples to Idiot Programming or whatever trope fits best.

Well, there ain't a lot to salvage:

• Windows ME is already listed on Idiot Programming and the entry here doesn't add anything that wasn't already covered over there.
• For Microsoft Bob, we could list the "entering the password wrong three times unlocks you regardless" thing on Idiot Programming, but most of the entry seems to be concerned about the Viewers Are Morons aspect (I'd list it there, but the page only does in-universe examples) and the "legacy" it left via the Comic Sans font and Clippy (don't know where that could fit). Maybe other Idiot Programming aspects of Bob could be listed there if possible.
• For cpedia, the entry as-is doesn't elaborate on the programming, but if we could find more info in the links provided or elsewhere, it could probably qualify for migration.

My best suggestion is to merge it with Horrible.Other and move the New Media examples over there.

I agree with pokedude10 — merge the entries into Idiot Programming and cut this page.

So, I kinda merged the page with other without knowing that this thread existed.

Judging by the thread, I'm assuming nobody has a problem with that.

Hey there. I was the one who gutted the page (mostly because of the YTP stuff, seeing as trolling and bile over those was what got Web Original PRLC'd). I wouldn't shed any tears over this getting a crimson ink bath too.
