Fantasy Character Classes is a page that enumerates common character classes and their variations (and there is a lot of them), so it is apparently an index. But each character class is discussed, and it is not easy to navigate, so it is a shitty index. It definitely is not a page about a trope. It also isn't an analysis page as it doesn't have analysis of the topic, only description. Maybe it is a useful note, but I doubt that it is actually useful in current state.

Possible solutions

  • rework it into an actual index, by dramatically trimming down all entries and checking that each entry points at a page that describes an actual reoccurring character class archetype (and not a fictional character archetype). Occurence in games/systems derived from the same base, like a number of games derived from D&D system, does not count.
  • Rework it into something like Cast Calculus (and probably move then into Useful Notes subspace)
  • Otherwise, cut it. We already have Fighter, Mage, Thief page and even with three basic classes discussed it could benefit from some trimming.

That seems to be too minor an issue to merit a TRS thread. We do have pages to identify broad classes.
