Looking forward to seeing how it comes along.
I've got my airbrushing rig set up and have basecoated my Imperial Marine, two Legion of the Damned, and my Eversor Assassin. Unfortunately, I can't easily do any kind of detail work because my brush painting station had to be broken down to make room for the Christmas tree, so once I get the BA codex in hand and have a better idea of how models need to be kitted out, I'm going to start assembling, priming and basecoating everything I've picked up for them. Built a Rhino this evening, gonna work on a Razorlas tomorrow.
I managed to fit a House Goliath test model for the new Necromunda into my painting schedule and I think he turned out relatively good (except perhaps the eyes).
I am currently bringing my Death Cult Assassins unit up to full size and taking the opportunity to change their colour scheme from my Inquisition scheme to my Adepta Sororitas scheme. Here is the difference between the two. I still need to practice with the textured paint on the base but other than that I feel the new scheme is a lot better.
I do like that new scheme better...nice work on it and the previous one.
Thanks. It also shows how much my painting has improved over the years.
Back to Blood Bowl with the test model I painted a while ago for my Chaos Dwarf Hobgoblins. He turned out reasonably well I think.
He does look good. Does the base have some kind of pattern on it?
Thanks.
The base is the same as for my Chaos Dwarf Blockers, attempting to look like obsidian with molten metal pitch markings but it is a lot rougher.
Goddamned Bats for the end of the year in the form of a Classic Warhammer Quest Giant Bat that I painted a while ago.
Heh...I love that crazy look on his face.
Got my Razorback and Rhino basecoated and about half of my DI models for my Blood Angels primed yesterday...the airbrush actually makes it kinda fun, although the harsh white light from the LEDs in the spray booth really washes out Mephiston Red.

Thanks, I love his expression as well.
I've never had the guts to use an airbrush. Technology and me don't tend to work together too well.
It's actually been a lot easier than I was afraid it would be, but all I'm really using it for is priming and basecoating ATM...not confident enough to try any fancy highlighting tricks, and to be honest, I'm really not a fan of the style of vehicle detail where it looks like there's a bunch of individual spotlights on it picking out panels.
One thing I've definitely had to learn is that the Air version of Mephiston Red doesn't like to be thinned with either water or flow improver.

I may have to bite the bullet and try it at some point.
This week I managed to finish my Death Cult Assassins squad. They took longer than they should have because of Christmas but they turned out reasonably nice in the end.
Yes, they did; I like the sorta medieval armor look.
Thanks. I suppose they do have a techno-medieval look to them.
Although I painted him a while ago, I am still quite happy with this Vindicare Assassin.
Wow, how old is that model?!
I’m 90% done with my “test” Intercessor...I need to put the decals on, re-paint the edge of the base with a darker brown, and varnish it.
Its the second version of the Vindicare Assassin, I am not sure when he was released but I originally painted him more than 10 years ago now before giving him a bit of a touch up before this photo was taken 2 or 3 years ago.
I look forward to seeing the results of your Intercessor.

Alright, I've taken the plunge and have started posting some of my model pics to my DeviantArt account...sick and tired of the onslaught of ads that's overtaken Photobucket. With that, here's my first BA Intercessor. I would've had two, but I completely fucked up the second one trying to airbrush varnish on it and am going to have to strip it and start over from scratch.

Awesome work. I really like what you have done with the purity seal.
Nice. Are these Legion of the Damned Marines also yours? I really liked how they turned out.
... And that's called jazz!Yes, everything I put up is models I've painted. I'll put up my Necrons sometime soon, even though I don't have them anymore.

Here is the old Forge World version of the Sororitas Exorcist that I am using at this weeks Campaign Weekend at Warhammer World.
The proper (Prioris) Exorcist is cool but this one is much easier to use in battle and I wish Forge World still made it.
Those look good, but holy crap, is the Exorcist in need of a redesign.
Since I'm most likely going to be on furlough next week, I anticipate much time to myself to work on models.
It's not that he's fiddly, its that with how I assembled him, certain areas are a PAIN IN THE ASS to paint.
I should have left his cloak off of his body, which would have made painting the backs of his legs and the inside of his cloak a cinch. Because with his cloak on his torso, it's very difficult to get to some areas of both his cloak and legs.
The most fiddly thing about him to paint is the hanging chains. They like to bounce. A lot.
