Carl kicks one of Chestnut's teeth to distract him.

With all his might, Carl kicks Chestnut's nose! Chestnut roars, and Carl drops out of his mouth and lands on his back in the snow.
Carl can see Chestnut slowly shrink and return to normal... but that bite was more painful than Carl realized at the time. His eyes close, and he blacks out.
He awakens lying in a bed in Pinky's house. All his friends, and many of the residents of Gingerbread Town are around him. Chestnut, back to normal, is standing over Carl.
"You're awake! Carl, I am so, so, sorry about this."

Carl reassures Chestnut, telling him it wasn't his fault. Chestnut smiles a little.

Carl sits up in bed and hugs Chestnut. Chestnut is surprised, but then his tail perks up, and he smiles wide and nuzzles Carl with his little red nose. Everyone in the room "aww"'s in unison.
I take back what I said about Mr. Shadow. Evil Is Cool, no doubt about that, but these scenes are my favorite!
One by one, all the townspeople talk to Carl, thank him for saving the town, wish him to get well soon, then leave.
Once they're all gone, Pinky talks to Carl. "Your chest was wounded very badly. We didn't think you were going to make it. It's a good thing you got a new chest!"
Carl looks down and sees that he now has a rabbit's chest, completely unmarked. He looks at Ophelia and sees that she has gained cat ears. Bruno sees that Carl is worried and talks to him.
"I know you and Ophelia are still transforming, but still, this was a pretty good trip, right? For one thing, we found Dr. White!
Pinky looks around and gasps. "Dr. White! He's not here! Where did he go?"

At this point, Carl's ears, legs, and chest have transformed. Ophelia's eyes, tail, and ears have transformed. There's still time.

Our heroes run outside to look for tracks. When they don't find any, Dr. White pulls out his crystal ball. "Your Majesty, it's me. There's been an emergency. Dr. White has gone missing!" Captain Rust fills her in on everything that happened. "Yes, we'll get to Bad Land right away. Do you want to talk to anyone? Carl, is there anything you'd like to say to her before we go?"

Carl panickedly tells Queen Oneira that he's still transforming, then calms down when he considers that he may be fine.
"I'm sorry you're so worried. The sooner we get your clock back, the better!"

"There's one for every human in the world. If you mean how many there currently are in the Clock Room, there are just as many as there were when you left. Like I said before, we've been keeping very close tabs on the entire room."

"Jonathan's dream creature... let's see... I know she's from Bad Land..."
"...Ah, yes. Poor, poor Penumbra."
"Back when he was still human, Jonathan had a fear of the moon. Perhaps it was because he associated it with night, and let's face it, many humans fear the night. Anyway, I do not know the exact reason, but I, uh, found it intriguing. So I created Penumbra, a dream creature who resembles the Moon. But not quite as big, although she can change her size at will."
"I remember her," says Bruno. "I used to see her in the sky all the time. But when Jonathan became Mr. Shadow... she disappeared."
"Yes, unfortunately. Like you, Bruno, she didn't want to be scary. When Jonathan transformed, she was so terrified and ashamed that she left the sky and retreated into a cave. She has never come out since then."
"If you wish, I can try and direct you to her cave. But remember, you still need to find Dr. White."

Carl asks Queen Oneira to lead them to Penumbra, hoping she can help them find Dr. White.
"Very well. Listen closely." Queen Oneira says. Speaking through the crystal ball, she gives our heroes directions. Nothing noteworthy happens in this time.
Eventually, our heroes make it to the edge of a rocky ledge, overlooking the swamp where they met Sliss. Remember the cliff with the three caves where they went into the middle cave? They are now standing on top of that cliff, but far to the left, where it is much lower, but still very steep.
"You are standing right above Penumbra's cave. The door is hidden, but we can worry about that later. First, you have to get down the cliff."

Well, yes, the cliff is low enough that Carl could jump safely, but... he's scared. Does he really have to-
Suddenly, Bruno grabs Carl and, holding him close, jumps off. They quickly hit the ground, and they're both fine. Bruno puts Carl down and calls up at everyone else.
"Jump one at a time! I'll catch you!"
One by one, each member of the party jumps down, and Bruno catches them. Pinky comes last, and when he catches her, they stare at each other awkwardly for a second before he puts her down. "Thank you." Bruno is a little embarrassed.
Captain Rust pulls out his crystal orb again. "Well... you are all certainly brave. Now, are you ready for me to tell you how to find the cave?"

Carl tells Queen Oneira to hold on for a second and whispers to Bruno and asks if he is interested in pursuing a romantic relationship with Pinky.

Carl nods and winks. He hopes Bruno will find a chance to show Pinky how he feels, but for now, they've got other stuff to do. Carl asks Queen Oneira how to find the cave.
"Let's see... there should be big clumps of moss on the cliff wall, correct?" There are. "Penumbra should be behind the one with the slightly reddish color."
They all look the same to Carl, but Sliss finds it with ease. "When you've lived in the sssswamp as long as me, you get good at ssstuff like thisss. Of courssse, it's probably just because I'm so ssssmart!"
Sliss clears away the moss to reveal a small cave entrance. He sticks his head in as far as he can. "Looks dark. And deep. This issss a good hiding place." Sliss sticks his head out and looks at everyone.
"Jusssst one little problem. This cave is pretty ssssmall. I don't know which of usss will be able to fit through, but I'm posssitive that Bruno and Pinky won't."

Everyone besides Bruno and Pinky wriggles into the cave. Surprisingly, they're all able to fit, although Captain Rust and Ophelia have a little trouble crawling through.
The cave seems to go on forever. Ophelia, with her new cat eyes, is at the front, leading everyone along, because it's too dark for everyone else to see. Eventually, the cave slowly gets wider, and slowly fills with golden light.
Eventually, the narrow cave drops down into a wide open room. There, sitting down on the rocks, is Penumbra. She's a giant yellowish moon with craters for eyes and a mouth, like a snowman's face. She looks up at our heroes with curiosity.
"W-Who are you? Nobody has come to see me for so long..."

Chestnut does in fact have big, twisted antlers. Carl is able to grab on to one.
Maybe this game would be easier if we had illustrations for each post. But the thing is, I feel like the pictures would require more detail than Weaver's minimalistic style. Not that I have a problem with their style (and I do love the picture you did for me, Unknown!), but... I feel like it wouldn't work for this whole game. Maybe it would, I don't know.
...Just a thought. :p
But Chestnut is still shaking, and Carl starts to lose his grip there too. So, he decides to take a risk. Yelling a rabbit pun, he waits for just the right time... and lets go of the antler, sending him flying towards Chestnut's snout.
...But Chestnut moves his head out of the way. Just when Carl is ready to accept this and try again once he lands on the ground, Chestnut snaps him up in his jaws. Carl is now trapped sideways in the mouth of a giant killer reindeer. His whole upper half is in Chestnut's mouth... but his lower half is hanging out the side.
He'll have to act fast, though. Chestnut's teeth are sinking into him.
