Newbury was a city without much to its name. It was certainly a nice place to live; its inhabitants cared enough about its well being to keep things neat and orderly, and there were enough local attractions to keep one occupied. However, plenty of other cities could also make its claims. For the people who wanted a little excitement in their lives, it was hardly the place to be.

On this summer's morning, things looked to be the same as usual. It was a pleasant day with hardly a cloud in the sky, which was enough to give the workers something to looks forwards to once they finished for the day or at least keep their moods high. Many of the younger inhabitants who didn't have to work were out and about enjoying the fact that school was out.

There didn't appear to be much of note...and yet there was. For a certain group of young ladies, today would be the day their worlds turned upside-down.

They would know who they were. They would wake up from a strange dream; something completely chaotic, yet utterly bizarre in its orderliness. They would be presented with a random assortment of memories from their past, as well as what appeared to be a glimpse of their futures.

What exactly this dream would be like was up to the individual dreamer. They obviously wouldn't have the same experiences; chances were they never even met before now. However, across all of them, there was one constant: a mysterious girl in white, with piercing red eyes. Sometimes she would just be off to the side, almost unnoticeable. Other times she'd be up front. Sometimes she may even had a few words for the dreamer, although she wouldn't have the same words to say to all of them.

Naturally, there was more to it than just a dream. Upon waking up, they would all feel a little funny. For some of them, that would be the only obvious change. Others would find their belongings suddenly capable of doing things they never thought possible. Some would find completely new belongings by their bedside, or even lying right on top of them. A select few would even find they gained a new friend while they were sleeping.

Whatever they thought of their changes, they were going to have to get used to them quickly. They were in for one wild ride.

Since I really liked my beginning I'll allow myself to copy it :P

Also... I still hope you don't mind, but since Maike is (again) from Germany I decided for realisms sake the dialouge between her and her parents will be in German with a translation after it... if you don't want that please say so as for her Erwin, I figured she talks English with him to get a bit more fluent in it

Weird Place

Maike looked around... seems she blacked out for a bit looking before her she saw an instruments panel. Weird... Suddenly a voice could be heard "   0   " Maike was pressed into her seat... what was going on?!? She felt heavy. After a bit of time... she didn't know how much she suddenly was thrusted around in the small capsule. She could hear voices, saying somewhat to the effect that the system wouldn't work and there was something outside. Her head was spinning, obviously whatever she was in rotated... and not too little at that.

Maike started to feel dizzy as suddenly someone was besides her... another girl... dressed in white, with dark blue hair and red eyes. "You might want to do something... the Launch Escape System can still be activated manually you know..." She said with a light smile.... finally Maike dawned what the hell was going on... she was in a spacecraft currently crashing... She didn't know how she knew what to do... but she pressed exactly the buttons that were needed it seems as the moment she pressed the last one the spinning came to a stop as she was pressed against her seat again... the girl besides her just watched her.

After a while there was a - given the circumstances - quite soft landing. Maike quickly got out of her seat and opened the hatch... she was in a sea of flowers... some vines had seemingly dampened her fall. above her she could see what seemed like... dinosaurs... no... more accurately it looked likem a grotesque mix of multiple dinosaurs... flying... attacking the remains of the rocket... The girl who sat beside her got out and pat her on the head "Attagirl, but now... you might want to wake up."

Newbury, Maike's Home, Maike's Room

Maike awoke, Erwin laid on her chest, curled up to a neat ball of fur, the Fennec it seems thought again that she made a wonderful pillow indeed, giggling she laid him on his own bed where he continued to sleep. She giggled, of course, yesterday she had visited a few museums with her parents including the Kennedy Space Center so that's why she dreamed that. She shook her head giggling. Ahhh today would be a good day.

"Mom, Dad, ich geh jetzt ein bischen spazieren."Translation  Erwin also was awake now, eating a bit from his bowl. "Well Erwin, wanna' come with me?" A small bark. She pet him. "Attaboy" He waited patiently as she got his leash, barking happily as they left the house... it indeed would be a nice day.

A short dream was presented to Heather, something mundane and odd at the same time.

She was sitting in front of the bus stop in front of her old house, with her mother and father...but as much as it felt like it, they obviously weren't mom and dad. Dad was never a thick mat of black hair, shimmering in the rainy wind like it was some kind of bizarre curtain, and yet still alive. Mom didn't have red eyes...and wasn't as thin. When she said "Look, it's here. Get up," that voice only made the difference much more obvious. It wasn't the warm joviality her mother usually spoke with, it was...distant.

Newbury, Summers Residence
It wasn't like Heather hadn't had odd dreams before hand, however, so it went by without note, even if the imagery stuck in her head. Trying to come up with meanings from these kinds of things was pointless, and probably just going to result in loss of sleep.

So, her morning went by without much of note. Mom and Dad were gone by the time she woke up, like usual, so she was left alone. Having already had enough of exploring Newbury in the last few days, not finding much of note in her suburbs, she decided that today was going to be a day of rest. Since it wasn't as if she had done anything in the last few days besides check on how her friends back west were doing, it was time to plumb the depths of the mysterious East Coast Television for herself.

Landing solidly on the couch, she hesitated before turning on the TV...because it seemed like there was something behind her. Reflected in the dark glass was something even darker, tall enough so that she couldn't see the top of it, sitting motionless. It took her a few seconds to muster the will to look behind her, but when she did...

Nothing in particular. Just a painting of a windmill that Mom liked for some reason.

Strange how that reflection could look like that, huh? She turned back and saw that the thing was right in front of her now oh shit! In a flurry of words, or one elongated word in Heather's case, both of them started talking at once.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA"
"LONG IN THE EBON CHAINS OF THE PAST, I WAS FATED TO BE BOUND TO THE WILL OF A HUMAN, AND TODAY IS THE APPOINTED TIME! MISTRESS, I AM    THE DARKMASTER    AND I...PLEASE STOP YELLING."

It took a little bit, with a few plaintive hand gestures and him lowering himself to kneel before her, but eventually she stopped screaming and resorted to wide-eyed, terrified silence. The Darkmaster was willing to deal with that. While he couldn't remember much of anything before about 6 A.M. this morning, everything about what he had said so far made sense, so he was rolling with it.

However, he didn't expect his master to be so...dainty.

Considering that she was still frozen in horror, he needed to put together the right words in a way that would make her not want to run the second he turned his head. "...I AM YOUR SERVANT, MISTRESS. I AM YOURS TO COMMAND, AND I AM HERE TO PROTECT YOU AS YOU SEE FIT. IS THAT NOT A THING TO BE JOYOUS ABOUT?" Heather could only reply with "Please don't kill me," so it was obvious that this relationship was going to take a little bit of time to become workable.

Dreamstate. Las Vegas, Nevada.

"And her opponent...from Asheville, North Carolina...Charlotte! "The Beast"! Rain!"

Charlotte's path to the six-sided ring ahead was absolutely clear. Yet somehow, she felt absolutely surrounded. She felt surrounded by the noise of the crowd, surrounded by the entourage of police officers and men in business suits, surrounded by the music booming through the arena—which kept switching between dramatic, staccato brass set to hip-hop drums and punchy symphonics and a droning voice over booming, unceasing drums.

Time sped up and slowed seemingly at random, in ways Charlotte didn't entirely perceive. She felt like she was fading in and out, usually when the man next to her—now a medieval knight, but it felt like he'd always been dressed that way—said something into her ear—she didn't know what, but it felt inspiring—or when the songs switched off from one to another.

Fragments of memories flashed by, interrupting the proceedings entirely. A grainy VHS tape from 1996 of her mother's Olympic judo match in Atlanta. A Polaroid from 1993 of her father, eye swollen, two teeth missing, covered in sweat, awkwardly trying to hold a golden championship belt in his hands, despite still having his boxing gloves on. The walls of her grandmother's home, up in the Blue Ridge Mountains. A Superman comic book, the first thing Charlotte ever bought with her own money, in her hands. Every sting, every thud, every impact of every memorable blow she'd taken in every combat sport she'd ever learned—and the feeling of cold gold in every trophy and every medal she'd ever won. And now, here she was, in Las Vegas, in an arena which, she suddenly realized, had walls as green as the Emerald City of Oz, about to partake in her first MMA title fight. It was time to chase that dream.

But then as soon as she climbed in the ring, the pounding bass drums of that second song went away, replaced by pianos and synths over skittish, snare-led drums. Charlotte turned to face the crowd, raising a fist as she surveyed them. She noticed a black panther in the audience, but paid it no mind. It seemed to be sitting attentively enough. But then she turned back towards the center of the ring, and as Charlotte sized up her opponent, something started to stir in the back of her mind. Some fragment of wakefulness, some part of her that didn't want to just go with the flow.

Wait a minute. Clear thoughts started to come through. Charlotte could hear them in her own head. Was she wearing white before I got in the ring? Did she always have red eyes, or did I just notice now?

Another time-flash, and suddenly, the red-eyed girl was right up in Charlotte's face.

"It's gonna be a hot summer, Charlotte," she said. "Remember to ice up."

"What?" said Charlotte, louder than she'd intended. Everything started to fade...

Newbury. Ivory Motel. Room 166.

"Wake up, Charlotte..."

The words echoed in Charlotte's head as she came to. She didn't know if the red-eyed girl from her dream had actually said it, or if she was just imagining things to try and add some closure. After all, Charlotte hated when her dreams ended on a cliffhanger.

For a couple minutes, she lay where she was, eyes still closed, running through what had just happened. The longer she thought about it, the stranger it became. The changing music, the flashbacks, the knight, the panther...she wasn't sure how she just rolled with all that. And who was that girl at the end? The image was so powerful, so clear, yet she swore she'd never seen a girl who looked like that before. But the fact that she said "ice up"—something Charlotte told herself when she needed to steady her nerves—meant the girl was somebody her subconscious had made up...right?

Finally, Charlotte opened her eyes, threw the blankets to the side, and started over to the bathroom mirror. After yesterday's insanity—eight hours of training for the Newbury Judo Invitational Tournament, now two days away, followed by four hours at a warehouse rave—she felt a bit off. She wasn't "off" as in "tired" or "still feeling a hit she took yesterday," but she still wasn't feeling 100%. She knew she probably looked off, too, given that she was still wearing everything she'd worn to the rave, aside from her jacket, now slung awkwardly over the TV.

As she fixed herself up, working out all the knots in her hair, straightening out her disheveled T-shirt and jeans and touching up her smudged make-up, that off-ness only persisted, and she still couldn't put her finger on what was causing it. Finally, she turned her back to the mirror, adjusted her jeans one last time as she looked over her shoulder, then started off towards the main room again.

And then it hit her. Charlotte froze where she was for a moment. No, she thought, I have to be imagining things. I can't have gotten a tattoo last night, can I?

She practically sprinted right up to the mirror, then turned around again and looked over her shoulder. Sure enough, there on her lower back—not low enough to be a tramp stamp, but still below her ribs and easily visible, given where her shirt cut off—was a tattoo, black with blue accents, of a leaping panther, its hind legs replaced by a brushstroke.

Charlotte's eyes went wide, and her jaw practically dropped to the floor. She didn't remember getting this tattoo, and while the party certainly went by in a rush of adrenaline and loud basslines, she didn't remember getting drunk or high. And if her parents saw this...she didn't even want to think about the consequences. Shaking her head, she went back to grab her jacket, put it on, and sat down on her bed, trying to figure out what the hell she was supposed to do next.

???

Adrianna found herself on a stage, facing a seemingly endless crowd of people. However, for some reason, all of those people were wearing a variety of different masks, some of them animal themed, some just looked like caricatures of a human face, she could even identify some typical theatre masks among them. Not only that but the crowd was all perfectly still, not moving an inch, just staring at her.

She looked at her arms and she could identify by the gloves she was wearing, plus the feeling that there was something on her head, that she was wearing her magician outfit. Once she looked down, oddly enough she could see a reflection on the stage, but it wasn't her reflection, no, it was some girl in white with red eyes.

This unnerved Adrianna enough to make her take a few steps back, but the reflection didn't follow her, it stayed in the same place, further freaking her out. She then looked at the stage behind her and it finally dawned on her that the entire thing was made of glass. That same glass was reflecting not herself, but a number of different scenes she could remember from her past, such as her getting her pocket mirror when she was younger, some fun moments with her family, her start in the world of theatre and magic...

But then there was a random image of current day Adrianna in a different magician outfit, accompanied by an assistant that wasn't simply similar, it was exactly her, just with white hair and clothes.

"What are you waiting for?"

A voice came from behind her, startling the girl and making her look behind her to see that the girl with the red eyes was now standing right behind her.

"The show must go on, right?"

She then heard the sound of something cracking and, surely enough, the stage was starting to crack all of sudden. Adrianna began stepping back in vain hope that she could get away from it, but she was surrounded by cracked glass in less than five seconds and then, everything shattered with an ear-piercing noise.

And then there was nothing.

Meyer Household

Adrianna bolted awake on her bed, pretty much jumping out of it. She was sweating and once she placed a hand on her chest she could feel her heart beating faster than normal. Once she realized she was safe in her bedroom though, she sighed in relief and began calming down

"What the heck..." she said to herself, sighing.

Looking around to make sure nothing was out of her place, she walked up to her bedside table where her pocket mirror was. She picked up but then she saw something that left her quite stunned, in her reflection, her hair was white instead of black like it should be. Just that sight was enough to send a huge chill down her spine.

"W-Why is my hair white?!" she said outloud, slowly starting to panic.

She then ran over to a large mirror close to the door to her bedroom and once she looked she saw that... She was looking perfectly normal, black hair and all. This whole thing was just getting weirder and weirder.

"Am I still dreaming or...?" she thought, looking back at her pocket mirror, puzzled, "Nonono, I'm sure there's a reasonable explanation to this, I'll just google it later. I have a performance today and I can't let this weird stuff distract me from it."

She then began feeling her stomach rumble a bit and upon looking at the time, it wasn't all that late but she was certainly late for breakfast. She sighed, at least that was something else that could get her mind off that dream, at least a little bit.

Opening the door of her bedroom, she walked towards her kitchen, hoping that the surprises were over.

Chevalier Family Apartment -> En Route to Central Park

As was usual for her, Rosalie took a while to get herself up. Even after awaking, she continued to simply lie in bed for a while. It could have been just for five minutes, could had been an hour, or anywhere in between. She really wasn't paying attention to the time; it was summer, and as far as she was concerned she didn't need to get up early. Eventually, she sat up and stretched, then started fussing with her straight, auburn hair in an attempt to fix any bedhead she might have.

She didn't know what to think of the dream she just had. It was almost as if it was a good dream and a nightmare all at the same time. It was all of her life experiences, both good and bad, plus a whole lot of weirdness. Even so soon after getting up, she wasn't sure she remembered it all. There was, however, one thing she clearly remembered: a girl in white, with red eyes. She was always standing off to the side somewhere, watching everything, as if plotting something. She was so clear, as if Rosalie had seen her before. The problem was that Rosalie didn't remember ever meeting someone who looked like that. Was red even an eye color people could have?

On top of all that, she felt...funky. She wouldn't call it feeling sick, but she didn't have any other words that could be more fitting. She hoped it wasn't a sign she was coming down with something. Maybe if she got out of bed and actually did something, it'd go away.

She finally hopped out of bed, stretched again, then went to do just that. Her first stop was her dresser to pick out her clothes for the day; as much as she'd like to spend the entire day in her pajamas, she also was hoping to explore a little today. It was really nice outside; she didn't want to stay cooped up inside all day.

Then she went to the shower. Once that was done, she put on a pink t-shirt with floral patterns and a pair of brown khakis. Then she brushed her hair into the twin ponytails she usually kept it in, then picked up her black-rimmed glasses sitting on the counter next to the sink and put those on. Then she made her way out to her apartment's main room.

Her father had already gone to work, and Rosalie probably wouldn't see him again until it got dark. His new job must have been really demanding. She did appreciate the fact that he trusted her enough to let her care for herself, and it was nice having the apartment to herself for a while. On the other hand, sometimes it felt like she almost never saw him, and that really didn't do anything for her constant loneliness.

That was another thing she could work on today; try to make some friends. She hadn't been here very long, after all; surely there was someone around here willing to be friends with her. Right? Right?

She sighed, before going to get herself some breakfast. A short time later she sat down at the table with a bowl of Froot Loops, looking through a local newspaper. The headline was just more coverage of the upcoming mayoral election, something Rosalie had no interest in since she didn't quite understand all the issues being discussed, and also because she was too young to vote anyway.

She was more interested in the local events. One event in particular caught her eye; apparently, there was going to be some kind of magic show today. That sounded like it might be fun to watch, even though she was a little worried about being called on stage. It looked like it was going to be a while before it started, however. Since she had some time to kill, she decided to go to the park and do some skateboarding.

Once she finished eating, she rinsed her dishes off and put them in the dishwasher, then checked on the flowers growing in a pot on the windowsill. It looked like her father had already watered them before he left, and they seemed to be doing well enough. After that, she grabbed her tote bag and started putting everything she thought she might need in it.

When she felt more or less ready, she threw on a pair of white tennis shoes before going to grab her skateboard. Once she found it, she left a quick note for her father explaining where she went, on the off chance he came back before she did, then made her way out of her apartment on the fourth floor of her building and down to the bus stop outside.

Aki I ??? I Dreeeeeams

"Whoa..." Sands. Sands as far as the eyes can. From her left, from her right. Up. Down. Everywhere! It reminded of her of home. Only, bigger. Wider. And oddly empty, now that she took a closer look around her.

This is weeeeird, she thought out loud, sprinting through the desert waste and letting her feet get her to wherever she stumbled upon. Who knows, maybe she'll stumble upon something amazing.

"Helloooooo! Anyone theeeere?" the young girl yelled out loud with no one answering back, much to her disappointment. Where the heck was she? Where is everyone?! Is she lost?

Suddenly, almost without warning, she spotted a strange white silhouette amidst the sea of sand around her, appearing very disconnected from everything. As though she almost look like...

A ghost, maybe?!

Instead of being a sensible little lady and questioning why there's a creepy apparition standing in the middle of nowhere, she approached it at full speed with no hesitation whatsoever and even tapped it on its shoulders.

Said 'ghost', upon a closer look, was actually a girl. Is she a friend? Does she go to the same school as hers? Does she know where she is? What's her story? So many questions filled her head before finally picking one randomly through the jumbled mess that is her mind.

"Hey, lady! Are ya a ghost?" she asked without much though. She chuckled. "No, I'm not, Aki," to which the young girl answered with "Ohh, okay!"

She was about to bother the ghost lady with more questions of her own before a sandstorm appeared at the distance. The ghost lady watches it with a distant look to her, focusing on it as she said the following. "The wind is brewing. You should be waking up soon," After that, she glanced back at Aki briefly, giving her a small, sad smile. "Enjoy the rest of your summer while you still can~"

"Ha? Bu- Wait, what are you talking aboooouwhHHOOA!" She was swept along by the approaching saidstorm before she could even finish her sentence, seeing the ghost lady.remain completely unaffected by it. Now that's just unfair!

Then, all is black. Before...

Aki I Home Sweet Home~ I A Rude Awakening

*THUNK*

"OW!"

Came the voice of a young girl of thirteen, who's now lying prone on the floor beside the bed, head first. Raising up from there, she rubbed her head. Man, what a weird dream! Usually, she had dreamless nights or even when she does dream, she can barely remember what those are. This one, however, she could remembers vividly. Odd.

"Maybe it's a sign...," she thought, still half-dazed and yawning loudly. Maybe she shouldn't have stayed up so late, re-watching the previous seasons of Prepure back-to-back once summer holiday began...

Naaah!

She didn't have time to think about it further before suddenly hearing a voice coming from downstairs.

"Aakiyah! Breakfast is ready!" It was her mother's, and right on time, too!

"Alriiiight! Be there in a minute,"

Her weird dream notwithstanding, there's still the question of what to do today. She's been spending the past few days cooped now in her home. Now, enough is enough, and she's going to go full on out today to make out for the rest of the days she missed outside.

After all, school is out and there's a bright, new day outside, just waiting to be explored!

... Right after she got breakfast. Damn, Aki, you sure know how to set your priorities straight!

Somewhere

Al was sitting in a dock with his grandfather. She could feel the familiar smell of the river and the bird chirping in the distance. Her grandpa was trying to teach her how to fish. She already knew how to do it—he had taught her several years ago—but, for some reason, he insisted on doing it again. It's not like Al complained, she just went along with it.

"Once the fish is hooked, rill it in as quick as you can, will ya, Becca?"

Allison never really liked her middle name. It always felt like it fitted someone much older than her and, as such, she tried her best to hide it from most people she met but her grandpa enjoyed using it and he was one of the few she didn't mind calling her that.

"Ok, grandpa"

Al didn't feel weirded out by the fact that she was interacting with someone that, for all intents and purposes, was supposed to be dead. She knew that, she had been to his funeral. But it felt right, somehow.

"You need to leave this place"

A girl's voice, coming from behind Al, interrupted the tender family reunion. Al ignored her words, not even turning to look at her face. She just wanted to enjoy fishing with her grandpa and no one was going to stop her from doing so. And yet the girl insisted.

"You are needed elsewhere. Now"

"I love you, grandpa"

"Leave"

...

Fletcher Residence — Ignoring changes

Al slowly but surely woke up from her dream. She had ended up on the floor, somehow, and her bed was covered in dead leaves. That didn't make much sense to Al since the only window in the room was closed and it was Summer but she just shrugged and started to get dressed. She put on a pair of sweatpants and a Mickey Mouse T-shirt that she found lying around on her bedroom. She checked on the clock and, to her surprise, it was early in the morning. Well, early for her anyway, being up late watching movies usually screwed up with a person's schedule.

She headed downstairs to the kitchen. Unbeknownst to her, the sprinklers of the backyard started doing their thing. Al felt like if it was raining over her but she was inside. She was probably getting sick. That was a shame, she really needed to enjoy the rest of the summer without having to stay in bed.

Her mother greeted her and noticed something was off about her daughter.

"Is anything wrong, Al?"

"No, it's just... I dreamed about grandpa"

"I'm sorry. I miss him too, dear"

"Well, it actually wasn't a sad dream. Seein' him again felt nice" she ommited the girl trying to make her leave. It's not like her mother needed to know that.

After having breakfast, Al decided to go for a run. It would be a shame to waste such a good weather and if she was getting sick, she was going to enjoy every minute she could outdoors.

"I'm goin' to the park to run for a bit and, you know, familiarize myself with the city. Do you want anything?"

"Nah, it's okay. Just come back in time for lunch. Take care, sweety"

Allison wasn't a health nut. She didn't care that much about being fit, or what kind of dangerous chemicals were on her food as long as it tasted good. But she liked to run because it helped her think and, like she had said, it was a good way of getting familiarized with the city of Newbury.

And off she went in the direction of the park.

Dreamvoid

It seemed to be another one of those dreams, one where she was flying. She loved these dreams, it allowed her some level of...freedom. Freedom was the world she wanted. To see, to fly...it all seemed ideal.

That was, of course, until she found her. The girl in white. She'd seen her a few times before, within the same night even, always passing her by in the edges of her dream-given sight. Sometimes she'd given a polite wave, and others, which made up the majority, she would simply be standing there...watching, almost intently. It wasn't until now that she decided to stop.

"Who are you?" She'd ask.

"Wake up..." Is all she got in return.

And then her dream begins to waver and crack. The red-eyed girl places a gentle hand to her forehead...and everything shatters.

Stiles Household

Velita Stiles impacted the floor with a loud "Bweh!" having rolled off her bed in her slumber. As per usual, she would blink herself awake, realize she's very much still blind, and set about dressing herself. As she pulled on her clothes, however, the feeling of a hand on her forehead remained. She tried to justify it as she'd just fallen from bed, but it remained. She decided to simply ignore it, grab her cane and make her way to the kitchen. It was another workday for her parents. She could just stay home...but that'd be boring. Instead, she yoinked a few cracker snacks from the cabinet, walked out the door, locked it, and set off toward the park, her cane tap-tap-tapping away

Aki I Home Sweet Home~ I Onwards, for Great Adventure!

"I'm off!"

Now on her hoodie, shorts and at the door wearing her sneakers, she's already at the door knob, ready

"Now dear, try not to bother anyone too much," her father said, glancing to her even as he held his newspapers in front. Aki would never understand the appeal of it. Maybe it's just one of those things adults like to read to look cool with their friends. And the dreaded black coffee, ick! The less said about that, the better. Anyway, back on topic before they're out of earshot!

"I will!" By now, she's already a fair distance away from her house, so what they hear instead is her soft response.

"Honestly, that girl...," Her father, Mahmud, sighed worriedly, to which her mother chuckles. "Now, dear. Isn't that a good thing? She's being more of herself lately."

The resigned father replied to his carefree wife. "Izzah, you know you spoil her too much. And you say that, but from what I see, she's bound to get herself into trouble. I just know it,"

"Oh? You don't trust out neighbors?"

"Not that. Rather, it's the ones that she's going to bother that I'm most worried about...," Well, she could handle herself surprisingly well for quite some time now and despite her wild nature, she's probably sensible enough not to follow strangers blindly, so he just drop the issue for now. Plus, maybe she already has some plans to hang out with her friends.

"Oh, better get ready soon," he said as he looked at his watch, getting up from his table and be prepared for work.

Well, then! Where to next? She could try contacting some of her friends until she remembered that they were all too busy with their own things. Awww. Now what is she going to do?

She could just go to their houses anyway and bother them there, but what if they're really, really busy? She wouldn't want to bother them then. Sigh, decisions, decisions...

Oh, I know! She could either go to the park! There's always something going on there from time to time. Fairs, small-time events, that sort of thing to pass the time. And even if there wasn't, she could try to find something else to do, like jogging or sports. Or, heck, maybe even make a new friend or two there!

Right! Her mind made up, she went towards it full speed ahead, having conveniently lived close-by to said park. So enthusiastic was she that she did not see a certain auburn-haired girl at a crossroad along the way until it was too late to stop her speed. Already, she's in slight panic mode!

Said girl(Allison) meanwhile, would notice a certain young girl coming towards her at full speed, having no sign of stopping anytime soon.

Newbury

Maike went a bit with Erwin, for now not having a clear goal and instead just wandering around, trying to get a feel for the town. Though... at one bus stop she noticed that today seemed to be a magic show... seeing that she had nothing planned she decided on the spot to go to said show.

???

Caitlyn blinked to get the fuzziness out of her eyes.

.... Where was she? This didn't look like anywhere near her house. Actually, it didn't look like anywhere in her immediate living area either. She stood on a dirt road cutting through a dense forest. The sky was overcast, though the kind of overcast where everything was still bright.

.. Do I even live anywhere near a forest? Where is thi- Caitlyn's thoughts are interrupted as something brushes against her leg. She looks down to find.. a cat. A calico one.

"?"

She reaches her hand down to allow the cat to smell her, but the cat just dashes away. ".. Hm. They don't usually react like that..."

"You should follow it."

Caitlyn yelps and jumps as she hears a voice off to her right. The speaker seems to be a red eyed girl wearing a white dress, who Caitlyn could swear hadn't been there just a second ago.

"Go on. It's waiting for you."

Sure enough, the cat had paused about twenty yards away and was now making some kind of beckoning gesture at her. With no other options to go with that she could think of, Caitlyn follow's the red eyed girl's eyes and follows. As soon as she gets within a few feet of it, though, it runs off again.

I guess I need to keep following it? Caitlyn shrugs, and does so.

The cat leads her through the forest. The path goes left, right, left, right, right again, and finally ends at an empty clearing. The cat finally stops and allows Caitlyn to catch up.

".. So this is where you wanted to take me?"

The cat does not reply, as it is a cat. Then again, this is a dream so that wouldn't be entirely implausible. Instead the cat crouches and.. shifts. It grows larger and loses hair, until it's about Caitlyn's size and almost human looking. The cat (well, I suppose it's not quite a cat anymore) stands and turns to face Caitlyn.

It looks exactly like her, a fact that Caitlyn finds just a little unnerving. The only differences between the two are that the former cat retains its cat ears, fur color (though it's just hair color now), tail, and some fur around its neck.

Before she has any time to react, the cat lunges at her and-

Caitlyn's Room

.. She wakes up. Bites her tongue while she's at it, too. "Oww..." Caitlyn sits up in bed and waits for the pain to fade.

What the heck was that dream..? She thinks to herself. Even though it wasn't the weirdest by dream standards, it still gave her an odd feeling. The feeling followed her as she got ready for the day, said goodbye to her dad, and headed out to the park.

The Park

Adrianna was running through the park, it was on the way to the theater she would be performing in, so she figured a little nature walking would be nice.

If it wasn't for the fact she was late. Even though the show was still gonna take a while to start, she needed to be there early to get herself dressed up, get everything set up and maybe even sneak in some practice before the start.

All that resulted in the girl rushing out, carrying her backpack with her and holding a bottle of water in one hand. Her hair was still a little wet, but she would probably need to wash her hair again once she got there anyway so that was no problem.

Newbury, Summers Residence
"S-So...if you're g-g-gonna listen to me...go to the fridge. Get me some orange juice." A tense second or two, and Heather added a small "please?"

Without stopping his long explanation of how he came to be, who he is, what people think of him and what he's been up to as of late, an arm extended from his side and slowly traveled along the wall. Only, it was the shadow of a skeletal arm, projected on the surface and winding around the entire house until it reached the kitchen.

While it clattered about in there, lightly knocking over things as it attempted to appease its master's master, Heather had at least gotten to the point where she could talk to this thing. Despite still being terrified at the fact that this thing existed, it certainly acted like it was her...servant, as he put it. When the arm slowly came scraping along the wall, clinking the glass of orange juice across the paint, said servant took it from his own hand and handed it to her in a fashion that could almost be called careful.

Seeing as he wasn't letting up soon, Heather took the time to sit back and try to take in his story, taking sips from the bendy straw that he was so kind to provide.

...Eventually, however, with all of her orange juice consumed, it was now really obvious that this monster was going to keep talking infinitely if she let him, about whatever inane thing he wanted to. She held up a hand and said, "Please, stop."

The Darkmaster froze in place, and turned to face her in a way that made it feel like this was the first time he had even paid attention to her. "STOP WHAT?" "Talking. You've been at it for so long and I don't need to know...well, everything. You don't even know about me, right? What's my name?"

Raising a long, armored finger, T.D.M. looked as if he had an answer there for a whole millisecond. It didn't take long for him to lower his hand and look down at the floor, admitting "I HAVE NO IDEA, MISTRESS."

That's...something, Heather thought. What exactly was this thing, if it was following someone it didn't even know? "It's Heather. Heather Summers," she said, a little bit more confused than she was frightened now. "Why are you here right now? Why am I so important?" T.D.M. didn't look up at her. "I AM...UNAWARE." "Do you remember what led up to this?"

"...NO. I REMEMBER YOU WAKING UP...AND THAT IS THE EXTENT OF IT."

The way it was looking at the ground, for a second Heather thought that he looked dejected, if that was even possible. "So...what about all that you just told me? You remembered that very well!" Shaking his head, the little silver moon ornaments on his chest jingling, he replied "I DID NOT...REMEMBER THOSE, PER SAY."

Had he really just lied to her face for a solid ten minutes straight? Weaving a yarn about "dark matrixes" and "the eternal void" and "the magic of death" to her for no reason?

Wait, shoot! Magic! She actually had plans for something today! She needed to thank him for jogging his memory, 'cause there was that community thing in the theatre with the magic and stuff going on soon! Even if most of the audience for that kind of stuff was kids, she'd probably find at least someone to hang out with, right? But now, she had a giant problem on her hands...and a possible solution.

She leaned over, and very, very carefully laid her hand on his shoulder, like a mouth would reach out and bite at it if she grabbed at it wrong. "It's...okay. I can talk about this later, though. You listen to anything I say, right?" T.D.M. nodded, what little expression he gave off looking a little more upbeat as he looked at her. "YOUR EVERY WORD IS MY LAW, MISTRESS."

"So...please go away? I'm sorry, but I don't need you right now, and I need to think about..." she paused, trying to put it in terms he might like better, "...the dark consequences of your...dark existence?" That clicked in his mind perfectly, and he rose up back to his full height. "TO UNDERSTAND THE RAMIFICATIONS OF A DARK GOD IN YOUR SERVICE? I SYMPATHIZE, MISTRESS! BUT WORRY NOT, AS LONG AS A SHADOW REMAINS IN YOUR WORLD, I WILL ALWAYS BE WATCHING YOU."

He slowly faded out of existence, leaving behind a hissed "AAAAAAALLLLWAYS WATCHING..." which was hardly comforting to her. Still not sure if she had somehow ingested peyote or something while sleeping, she needed to get this out of her head. Hopefully, it was still part of the same dream as earlier, or something.

Looking over her shoulder on occasion to see if she was following, she got her things in left, still a little shaky from all of this.

Near the Park — Coming through!

Running around the city was something that Al really enjoyed, she could spend all day just looking at the different buildings of Newbury. The only thing stopping her doing so was a horrible headache. It felt like a whole swarm of bees was buzzing inside her head with an occasional muffled voice thrown into the mix. She also had a horrible itch all over her body but specially on her back, as if something was scratching it. It was official, she really was getting sick.

Worst of all was that the headache was really distracting her from enjoying her jog through the city. So much so, that she didn't see a young girl about to ram into her.

Even with the size difference between the two, Al took quite a hit by virtue of getting taken by surprise. She fell to the floor on her back and took more time than she normally would to get up on her feet, mostly because the collision had worsened her already strong headache.

"Hey, look where you are goin'" she said, rubbing her neck and looking up at the girl that had hit her. She was just a kid, so Al hesitated a bit at calling her out on her behaviour, and it's not like she was paying attention either "Agh, my head is killing me. What's the rush?"

En Route To Central Park -> Central Park

Rosalie didn't have to wait very long for the bus to arrive. As soon as it did, she hopped on, paid the necessary fare, then found a seat by herself. Then she contented herself with staring out the window.

Now that she didn't have anything immediately occupying her time, her thoughts drifted back to that weird dream, particularly the girl in white. She'd already ruled out her being someone she met before. The only other realistic possibility was that she was just a particularly clear figment of her imagination. Not only was she really clear, however, she was also a constant presence. Someone who was always there.

Then her thoughts drifted back to the weird feeling she woke up with, which thankfully had subsided now. She had shrugged it off as a consequence of oversleeping or something, but now she couldn't help but wonder if the two things were connected somehow. Maybe this girl in white was a ghost who really wanted her help with something?

No, that was just a silly thought. None of the dreams she ever had before meant anything; why would this one?

By the time she came to that conclusion, the bus had arrived at her stop. She signaled to get off, then once the bus stopped got out. She stretched again, then took a look around. Now that she was here, she wasn't sure exactly where she wanted to go. The only important part was that she didn't get herself lost if she wanted to make it to the magic show.

Otherwise, the real reason she was here was to enjoy the weather. So she opted to pick a random direction. Then she set her skateboard down, hopped on, and sped off.

With a final few taps of her cane, Velia sniffed the air around her, taking in the usuall grassy scent she'd grown to enjoy. She smiles. "Such a nice day," she mutters before stepping....right into the path of a skateboard.

Aki I Crossroads I dasfasfda SORRY!

The resulting collision was spectacular and would have been better, if coupled with an awesome landing sequence. Sadly, such was not the case and she instead fell unceremoniously down at the pavement road butt first.

"Oof!" Already, that was the second injury that she suffered today, and it hadn't been that long since the first one.

Then, she noticed the girl that she happened to bump into. As quickly as she can, she sat up and clasped both her hands together in apology.

"Astagfirullahaladzim, sorry! I'm really sorry!" Aki apologized as sincerely as she can, then upon hearing that she should watch where she's going, she replied sheepishly while scratching the back of her head. "Maaan, you're right! I should really watch where I'm going next time, ya know? Ahahahaha!" She laughed, brushing this incident off with humour... which falls flat after noticing just how much in pain the girl in front of her is currently in. She winced.

"H-Hey! Lady, are you okay?! You're not bleeding, are you?!" Great, now she's beginning to feel bad. Way to start off the day, Aki. "L-look, I didn't mean to! Do you need a clinic?! An ambulance?!" She said, Allison's question having passed right through her and quickly looking over the lady with worry while trying to fumble out her phone(and failing at that).

Caitlyn's House > Park

It doesn't take Caitlyn too long to reach the park. She notices a sign for the magic show. Hm. I visit here pretty often, but I don't remember seeing anything about this before.. I must not have been paying much attention..

Almost immediately after that, she spots Velia about to get hit.

"Oh hey, watch out!" She calls out to her.

Crossroads

The girl seemed really sorry about having crashed into Al—asking if she was bleeding or needed to go to the hospital—so she tried to be not so hard on her. Still, that had really hurt. Or maybe it had just exarcebated her pain. Why did she feel like crap all of sudden?

"...I'm okay, really. I just woke up with a cold, I think"

The headache suddenly disappeared and things got clearer. Just a bit anyway. A woodpecker was drilling holes in a nearby tree, a flower was being pollinated somewhere out there, and—look at those squirrels! They were so cute running around the branches. But why were they acting that way? Guess rodents were crazy by deafult but that still made Al wonder.

She got up and looked off into the distance at the crown of one of the trees in the street. It was so far away Al could barely make out it's figure but she somehow knew those squirrels were there. She could sense them.

"Hey, what do you think they are doing?" she said, as she pointed to the barely visible tree

Central Park

Fortunately for everyone involved, Rosalie was watching where she was going. Upon seeing someone step out in front of her, she immediately put her foot down and attempted to bring herself to a stop. It was a close call, and she almost lost her footing, but in the end she stopped just shy of a collision.

As soon as she regained her footing, she gave the other girl a little annoyed glare. In any other circumstance, she would have left it at that before just going around the other person. In this particular case, however, she quickly noticed the cane the other girl happened to be holding. If she remembered correctly, that was something they gave to blind people.

If this girl really was blind, then she literally couldn't see Rosalie coming. On the other hand, she had to wonder what kind of caretaker would let a blind girl wander around by herself. That cane couldn't have covered everything; why not give her a seeing eye dog? Or just make sure not to leave her alone? Never mind this almost-accident; what would happen if she wandered out into traffic or something?

Rosalie decided not to dwell on it too long. All she had to do was let the blind girl know she was here, and then she could move on.

"Um...excuse me...." she started, "I, um...I'd like to go around you, please...?"

Central Park
After...whatever that was, things seemed to go back to sorta normal. Really, even if that thing never appeared again, it would still be weird. There had to be some kinda explanation for seeing something like that, right? Did she somehow contract schizophrenia? Heather didn't even think you could contract schizophrenia, but what else could you say that all was?

Even that thing...well, it wasn't necessarily called "that thing", it named itself Darkmaster a few times, but that was a really stupid name. Anyway, even that thing said, in a roundabout way, it didn't believe its own stories. Right now, maybe she should just try and not think about it. Try and pretend she had a normal, not-hallucinatory morning right now.

Easy enough, considering that it was a beautiful day outside. If she hadn't already planned on this theatre trip, she might've just went out and spent some time sitting on a bench or something. Or, maybe indulging in that other hobby, but people gave her weird looks last time she went out to the park and did that.

Despite Google suggesting that cutting through the park might save her a whole two minutes, she was taking her time. In taking her time, she looked behind her and saw...not a familiar face, but one she recognized. The main woman of the show herself, looking like she was in a hurry. It'd sure be nice to talk to her before the show, get to meet her, but she was obviously in a rush, so-

"IMPOSE YOUR WILL ON HER. IMPROPRIETY IS A TOOL," said a certain voice, much quieter than her last time but still very obvious.

Heather spun around to see where that thing was, but the only thing behind her was a squirrel packing up an acorn in its mouth. However, she immediately noticed that her shadow was unnaturally long...and, well, pointy. Oh lord, it really had followed her here somehow. But, how did-

"WE ARE INEXORABLY LINKED, LIKE PAIN AND SUFFERING. LIGHT AND DARKNESS. WINE AND SUNSETS. I READ YOUR MIND AS EASILY AS I READ A SIGN," T.D.M. said, her shadow shimmering slightly as he spoke. "LET YOUR DESIRES FLOW FREELY AND TALK TO HER IF YOU SEE FIT. DO NOT LET INHIBITIONS TAKE OVER."

Before she could ask why he need to talk to her instead of, mind-talking or something, the magician was right behind her, and in an effort to not seem insane she tore her attention away from the shadow being to the girl. Hopefully she didn't notice her spinning around earlier. She waved, smiled, and said to her "Hey, are you Adrianna? The one having a show today?"

Aki I Crossroads I Hanging out with a druid

"Oh! That's a relief," sigh Aki, glad that she wasn't hurt. So it was a cold, then? She hope her newfound acquaintance will get better soon.

Speaking of which, she suddenly asks Aki a very peculiar question. "Huh?" she asked, tilting her head quizzically as the girl began pointing somewhere. Aki tried to see where she was pointing at, failed, and tried again, this time doing her damndest best to see what she's trying to point her to; squinting her eyes, even!

She could almost certainly see where she was aiming at, annnd...

"Oh! Oh! I see it!" answered Aki enthusiastically, feeling proud. "You're talking about that tree, right? Hmm...,"

"... Nope! I don't have a single clue!" She exclaimed, puffing out her chest as though it was something to be proud about.

Velita hops in place with a little yelp as she's called out to, then tilts her head at the skateboard girl. "Ah-! I'm sorry!" She squeaks out, quickly bowing her head before hopping back a few paces, right around where Caitlyn would be. Her face is lit up in embarassment, she's normally more attentive than this...
