Marvel's Spider-Man

So the guy they got for Iron Man is doing his best—and by that I mean worst—Robert Downey Jr. impression.

And now we know why Flash is around. Eddie Brock is tossed out again.

Mick Wingert, who I think replaced Adrian Pasdar as the de facto voice of Iron Man for multimedia stuff, it seems.

Unless it's that one crossover fighting game, in which case it's Eric Loomis.

I think Flash seems like a pretty decent dude, oddly enough. Still kind of a jerk, but he seems more like a mostly harmless meathead instead.

Eric Loomis also voiced Stark in Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Herors. And seeing how I obsess over that show, I know for a fact the Tony Stark in this show isn't him.

I knew that too, yes, but felt Eric Loomis was relevant in regards to the game scene.

x4 I guess it might be to make the eventual transition from Venom to Agent Venom easier?

I admit I am kinda frustrated they changed Venom's origin again. I'm probably a purist about it, but I always had a soft spot for Venom being an alien rather than a lab experiment. It really makes him stand out compared to the rest of Spidey's Rogues Gallery and his appearance does look very alien.

Huh so he's a lab experiment again? Isn't that the Ultimate origin & I mean in the comics not the show.

I hope we get Venom before Agent Venom. Even if its not Eddie Brock someone has to play Spidey's epic evil counterpart before turning the identity into a hero.

It does make him very unique.

He is an alien here, he was donated to Horizon High by the space program.

We also got Venom promo art, so he is inbound before Agent Venom I'm sure.

This show is pretty neat. I feel like the animation could be better though.

Sandman's daughter is so stupid though, lol. "Screw you Dad, you participated in events that led to me becoming a sand person! The guy who directly turned me into a sand person is a way better father than you!"

Venom Spidey was great as usual. I love seeing Spider-Man get a little aggressive. Oh and Iron Man was a little ridiculous—that voice!!

Hammerhead helping her regain a stable physical form again probably helped that transition

Yeah, Venom was donated to Horizon by a space program, and wasn't created by anyone.

Unless you count out of universe stuff, as he is fictional.

I heard somewhere that Eddie Brock is going to be Venom in this show, so that bit where the Symbiote was coming for Flash before getting contained was a fake out.

Oh, it's pretty clear that Flash and the Symbiote are gonna have their time together after Flash got that flash. I mean, it's pretty much the entire reason he was there, as set up for that scene.

That being said, glad Eddie is getting his time as well. The origins of Venom may be kinda dumb, but he's been in that role for years, so it'd be weird to ignore him.

That might just be from the website which is full of blurbs from the comics.

Okay, so they kept Venom's alien origin after all. My bad. The Space program giving one of the first alien lifeforms ever discovered to a school for genius still IS ridiculous, but only slightly less than if they had actually created the thing, so I'm willing to buy it.

I honestly don't like Keemia's motivation for doing the things she does.

Aside from that though, I like the series in general.

She reminds me of someone I knew with her petty motivation.

But with superpowers.

And killing her dad.

@Theokal: Cause they thought it was a new element and not an alien lifeform. Giving something like that to test is more believable when they think its just some harmless substance.

I wonder how mich a grudge he might hold over being treated like that though.

Taking it out of the lab is still pretty reckless, though.

Honestly, between that and Keemia's whole motivation, it's what's keeping me from fully enjoying the show. There's a lot of genuinely good stuff in the show and some of the scenes work, but there's also times where the writing gets stupid to move the plot ahead.

Phew, finally caught up.

Wellll, they waited until episode 8 to have an Avenger cameo. Slow, but they are progressing out of this obsession with MCU promotion.

I gotta admit, when I heard you guys complain about Keemia's motivations and Stark's voice, I thought you were exaggerating. But now that saw the episods..... yeaaaaaaaaaaaaah, I can only agree.

Keemia's motivations make little sense; I mean, she isn't even stuck in sandgirl mode like her father was, so WHAT exactly is preventing her from doing studies and have her big career in science (also, wow, this takes this show's obsession with science on a whole new level)? She kinda did that crap to herself deciding to work with Hammerhead and his thugs...

As for Stark... wow, does the actor sound disinterested.

On the brighter side, I really liked the Symbiote part of the event. A bit too fast (I would have liked a few more episodes with Peter wearing the symbiote), but at least they did give us Spider-Man with the black suit for at least a while (more than I can say for USM). And while I find Peter a bit dorky at time, i did really like how they shew it influenced him and gradually made him worse.

I also appreciate that they give Max Model some flaws by having him not listen to Peter's researches and go with the symbiote anyway. He was a bit too dull for my taste as the standard Reasonable Authority Figure.

I mean he was too quick to suspend Harry on the off chance he was responsible as well, something Norman points out. Of course to manipulate his kid.

So a leaked screenshot from a future episodes shows that it is indeed Flash who will become Venom rather then Eddie .
