How many skipped in one episode?
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.20 or so.
However, they are actually adapting the East vs. West arc, which is considered to be the point where the manga became something that just seemed cheeky into something that can be badass yet funny at the same time when it wants to.
Watch SymphogearThey must've chose a different starting point altogether then, because it seems like there would be some unavoidable narrative issues skipping so much.
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.So is there some sorta Keijo men's league too? P:
I couldn't conceive a dream so wet; your bongos make me congo. In the manga Nozomi's story started with her still in high school and rejecting offers to go to an athletic orientated college and a chances at the Olympics in favour of Keijo and it took some twentysome chapters for her to even get into the school and the point the anime starts at. Which also means it skipped out on a lot of the character introductions, which is somewhat annoying and explains why this first episode was a bit messy.
This is a weird show.
And I knew it: the focus on butts did end up making some perspective shots look off proportionally. Not too bad, but still noticeable.

YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.Although, using butt muscle to lift weights seems like its absolutely ridiculous.
I love it.
And Asstrology and Boobology.....
I love this show.
Watch SymphogearIs this even fanservice anymore?
To pity someone is to tell them "I feel bad about being better than you."So is this series basically Jojo's Bizarre Adventure but with like 70% more ass and boobage?

Warrior to the very end! My tumblr, dood!Man crunchy just kept translating 'Ass' as 'butt'... 'Vacuum Butt Cannon' sounds terrible.
Also they keep skipping good stuff, how is it a spoof of Shonen if they skipping the teacher attempting to deny teaching the Dangerous Forbidden Technique because it is too dangerous?

Maybe they just need to work on their pacing...
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.Honestly, "Vacuum Ass Cannon" doesn't sound much better.
To pity someone is to tell them "I feel bad about being better than you."I read a bit of the Manga, but stopped when they reached the school.
I might get back into it, and then watch the anime. I do love boobs and fan service, and this series has in-universe docking.
What's not to love?
One Strip! One Strip! It does if you yell it like you are supposed to for Calling Your Attacks.

*imagines it*
Eh. Thinking about it, I think "Vacuum Butt Cannon" sounds funnier.
Also Aoba needs to make some foreign friends. I can't tell the Hiroshima dialect apart from any other except maybe Osaka.
To pity someone is to tell them "I feel bad about being better than you."Hiroshima-ben is known to be quite rough and dirty and others consider it rude. A common stereotype is to have Yakuza use it, since the movie The Yakuza started it, which is probably another reason why she shut up.
It is not an accent though, it's more akin to massive amounts of slang in her actual words than anything, she doesn't sound different to us.
Kansai Regional Accent and Tohoku Regional Accent, now those will sound different to us, the latter is so different that it is subtitled on national tv.

> Kotaku doesn't need to exist either
I couldn't conceive a dream so wet; your bongos make me congo. You know I really like how the cast is purposefully taken from all over Japan and the anime actually kept that. Like Nozomi speaks Kansai-ben, Aoba speaks Hiroshima-ben, Non speaks Satsuma-ben (I believe) and Sayaka is speaks Tokyo-ben.
It is extremely unusual to do that in anime and not have Anime Accent Absence.

It's not the fanservice that's the problem so much as the sub-par art, bad writing, and bland or unlikable characters. Gratuitous fanservice can be a problem, but hey, at least it's justified in this case. Too bad that it's only a flimsy justification, and wouldn't stand on its own without the fanservice to back it up. Other fanservice-filled manga/anime like Highschool of the Dead and Sekirei have interesting enough stories that if you took out most or all of the fanservice, it would still be interesting enough in its own right that you'd continue to watch/read it.
The author actually did real research in science and medicine when he wrote the series.
Sure, its fanservicey, and there is Shonen Sports series logic when it comes to the super powers, but the base idea of the series isn't farfetched in itself.

The author is a woman?
Huh. Never thought of that. I figured something so blatantly fanservicey (not as much as other series, but still) would have been done by a dude.
One Strip! One Strip!
First anime episode Debuted yesterday.
While it skipped a lot of chapters, I liked what I saw of the anime. The series is so endearing about how its self aware in its premise and takes it and a bunch of Shounen Cliches and runs with it.
Nozomi herself is adorable, too.
