I think I've seen it back in the day. Someone basically ripped off the entire text from TV Tropes (not up-to-date, mind you) and put it on a Wikimedia-based platform.
Hell, I can't even confirm if it's that or I saw something else, because they apparently smarted up and locked it down. Now I get a 403 error.

"what the complete, unabridged, 4k ultra HD fuck with bonus features" - Mark Von LewisIronic that the images don't work there, considering the URL.
We've had a handful of sites that copy the wiki verbatim (e.g. All the Tropes), mostly started by people dissatisfied with changes to site policies, for better or for worse. Naturally, they usually contain material that has been purged or censored from this site (e.g. the former Fetish Fuel and Troper Tales pages). It's technically legal as long as they credit this site as the source, I believe (considering the license this site uses), though it's also not really worth looking into hard enough to shut down, since, well, this site has brand name recognition.
Insert witty 'n clever quip here. It's one of those sites. The weird duplicate ones that just turn up once in a while...it's happened to My Anime List several times, as well as another forum I browse.
"A buddy is a buddy no matter how nutty."Seems a site to steer clear of. Thanks for the heads-up.
Given that tvtropes and sharetv are affiliated, I wonder...
The mods are aware of this site. There is already an existing thread for fake sites. Please take further discussion there.
First of all: I don't know where to put this thread. I'm probably not going to get involved in the forums too much, either.
Down to business: are the admins here aware of a site named images.sharetv.org? Seeming as how they have the ENTIRE WEBSITE copied onto theirs, I don't know if this is a backup thing, or it's a pretty good attempt at stealing a whole website.
I first came across this while searching about how TCB: Not Alone links to Apartheid. Somehow, I managed to end up on the site, and I noticed that from a reader's perspective, there are two things wrong with it:
1. If you have an account on TV Tropes.org, you don't have an account on sharetv.org.
2. None of the images in the trope pages work. They're all just empty white boxes.
So does anyone have any answers about this site?
