Toriel - No One Touches the Child

Seeing the child in white slowly but surely recover had made the queen smile despite the circumstances. She knelt down and reached out for her again, "Do not be afraid. I will protect you." Then, as the pirates have chimed in as well as the retaliation, she had glared at the raiders, flame in one hand. As the situation was being controlled by Reimu, she had approached her side, the flame still lit and the baleful stare still beard down on them. She did promise herself not to kill again, but for endangering a child with little care, they must be punished.

Tucker - Ramming a Robot (Bow chicka bow wow?), Invictus Hangar

Tucker let out a whoop of celebration as the fighter crashed into the wall and he touched down against another, his grav-boots activating on contact. Tali's attempt at rescue was unnecessary, really: his spinning had lead him close enough to wall to save himself. He definitely appreciated the effort, though.

His celebration was shortlived, however, when a robot decided to bearhug him. This was a problem, as it constricted it his arms, stopping him from pulling a weapon. The robot, being a robot, was also very strong, and the hug was starting to hurt.

"I would suggest you use your jetpack." spoke a very Elijah Wood sounding voice.

Not even questioning which AI was talking to him there (it sounded familiar, though), Tucker activated his EVA pack, the thrusters extending outwards. His grav-boots deactivated, and his thrusters fired, in an attempt to launch the pair robot-first into a wall.

Hunk—Invictus—Whatever You Say Tali

Keeping up a steady stream of rear support fire was keeping Hunk rather occupied from realizing the axe-wielding maniac that had joined them or this Galatic Ranger named Ratchet that seemed to have long ears like Lucina, but he welcomed the help all the same. He decided to follow Tali's advice and carefully backed his way closer to the group, watching his footing until he could feel the momentum of his footsteps being stopped only by the floor beneath him. With only final glance to gauge his distance, Hunk dismissed the bayard and jumped towards the others with his jet pack activating to steady his direction.

'If you fall seven times, stand up eight.' The cry of the Undead.

Scott, Invictus - Repair Bay

Scott had to admit, the jump hadn't been as smooth as he'd hoped. BUT. He had managed to rescue Lucina, so that was pretty awesome. Even saved her from being hit by the ship. Just as he managed to get his footing, the bunny-girl suddenly threw herself at him practically, pulling him down towards the floor. Ceiling? Man, that was trippy. And awesome.

Sadly, any suave comments the Canadian might have laid upon the taguel after the rescue were lost when he found himself under attack by more robots. Pulling his sword free from the floor. Ceiling. Fuck. Pulling it free, he copied Lucina and brought his word upwards in a flaming arc at one of the robots.

Invictus – Ready room to tram station

The android working on the far doorway finally dropped to its knees and twitched as Samus dispatched it, leaving the other two scrambling on the ground behind her, easy pickings to be finished off.

“Sorry, Mary, Jeda snapped back too. He’s fine, but he’s back in his own world… Damnit, why does this keep happening…”

The doorway leading forward sparked and opened when prompted… about six inches. It wouldn’t take the team long to force it open the rest of the way, however. With their suit’s maps leading them onwards, the team could once again dive into the grey metal corridors, the signage at each intersection pointing them towards the tram station.

One final set of double-bulkhead doors opened, and the station was in sight. The tramway was one long shaft that stretched off in either direction, so far that it was impossible to see each end with the naked eye – the rings of light fixtures built into the walls marking into the distance forever. A twin set of elevated tracks ran down the centre of the tunnel, with the platform extending out to meet them.

The platform itself was fitted with a single row of back-to-back metal benches, more transparent holographic screens along the walls… and the bodies of several crewmen in various uniforms, strewn about or draped over the backs of the seats.

“Okay… okay, Samus’s team, I’m summoning the priority tram to the command section. Take a breather, I guess, and keep an eye out…”

Invictus – Repair bay to damaged decks

Androids all over the bay fell under blades, plasma blasts, and Tucker’s jet-propelled shoulder. Lucina shoved the remains of the robots attacking her and Scott away and, after giving the swordsman a nod, followed Tali’s order to move on.

At the far end of the maintenance bay, another doorway opened up to let the group through. The shapes of more androids could be seen emerging from hiding and pushing off to pursue the intruders, but as soon as the last person was through the door it slammed shut with a clunk.

“I’m sealing it! Keep going!”

As they continued, the metal walls around them started to look strange, slightly warped and twisted. The radiation monitors in the party’s suits let out a disgruntled grumble. The readings weren’t dangerous yet, but the levels were above the mild background of the previous chambers. Ahead, the path was blocked by a bulkhead door that was stuck partly open and refused to budge another inch. Lucina stepped up and ran her fingers along the edge and frowned.

“It’s… it’s fused together.” She said softly, dismay and awe colouring her voice. What matter of disaster could melt a steel door like warm wax? Acting on a hunch, she drew Falchion and concentrated, drawing out the sword’s power until it glowed bright orange in the dim corridor. She started slowly pressing the tip against the point where one segment of the door hung askew, trying to break the shutter-piece off and widen the gap.

“Tali’s team, you’re about to enter what used to be a maintenance storage silo before the ship took a few sweeps from a particle beam. I think the secondary ventral magazine must have gone off too… anyway, the silo and the next, uh, dozen decks are, well…”

Lucina finally managed to kick part of the door into the next room, blinking for a moment as she watched it float away. Ducking under the still-glowing cuts he had made, the taguel gasped as she looked around.

“… gone.”

A few meters ahead, the corridor simply ended. The only thing Lucina could liken it to was stepping out of a cave in the wall of some great chasm, the sides black and jagged and a good three hundred meters apart, the boxy outlines of the ship’s decks visible in cross-section.

Lucina made the mistake of looking down, and had to step backwards as another wave of vertigo swept over her. Unlike an earthly chasm, the open star-filled sky was down below their feet. The “wound” in the ship’s belly was not clean, the dark shapes of debris floating suspended in the space between, while their projected guide-line lanced at an angle across the gap and disappeared inside one of the decks “above” them.

Tranquil Harbour – Hallway

Leah’s bolas only managed to catch the gunman around the barrel of his rifle, the cover of the junction corner protecting him from the weapon. The momentum still twisted his rifle to the side, causing a spray of splintered bullet holes to sweep along the opposite walls as he cursed and stumbled back.

As Morrigan made her way forward, the other two soldiers emerged form cover, one taking the first’s place, the other darting (as much as a man in an armoured pressure suit can dart) across the mouth of the corridor to take up position on the other corner. They opened up with their rifles as well, only for Akko’s shield to spring into place to take the barrage of heavy fire, followed by Camilla and Sypha’s counter-attack.

As the soldiers swore and ducked behind cover, Astolfo was suddenly right I the leftmost pirate’s face – or, more accurately, astolfo’s shield. The soldier was thrown backwards with the impact, only having room to fly a few meters before bouncing off the opposite wall with a crunch. Simultaneously, the trio of dark arrows curved around the cover of the corner, the third finding its mark in the armoured chestpeice of the third pirate, sending him crumpling to the floor.

All the while, the first gunman had been wrestling with Morrigan over his rifle. Losing ground and seeing his squadmate making a high-speed rendezvous with the bulkhead, he swore and threw himself backwards, leaving his rifle in Morrigan’s hands and drawing a chunky pistol from his webbing. He fired up at her as he hit the ground, the gun’s wide muzzle strobing red with a muted crack as the air between them sizzled.

When reimu rounded the corner, she was faced with two conscious soldiers – Morrigan’s dance partner, and the man on the ground clutching his chest where the Thief’s bolt had struck. The first grunted and whipped his pistol away from Morrigan and towards reimu, eyes wide behind his visor.

“Bullshit, I’ll fry you first.” He hissed, although his fingers hadn’t tightened on the trigger yet.

Lady (Medical Wing)-Ouch

Lady caught the rifle in midair as she slipped into cover. She took a moment to look the weapon over and make sure there were no glaring differences between how it worked and any modern weapon, befoe she swung out of cover to fire, only to hold fire as she watched the enemy get their asses kicked. placing the rifle over her shoulder using a strap, she quickly walked down to the corner in time to see one of the men on the ground pointing a gun at Reimu. Without any hesitation, she drew one of her pistols and shot at the guy's gun in an effort to disarm or otherwise disable the gun. Assuming she hit it and succeeded, she would proceed to say this.

"You were saying?"

Tranquil Harbor (Cover)

Lillie may have looked like a human girl to Tessa's eyes. However, she certainly didn't feel like one to Tessa's touch. She felt more like some kind of glass than any living being, let alone a human.

She flinched slightly at being touched, partially because the situation had her on-edge as it was, partially because she'd been touched at all regardless of the circumstances, and partially because something about Tessa's touch felt a little off to her. Part of her wanted to ask about that latter one, but this wasn't the time and she wasn't really one to talk when pointing out differences anyway.

In any event, she gave Tessa a look that hopefully showed that she appreciated the gesture, even if her expression was still seriously worried. Beyond that she kept quiet, huddling, and hoping for the best up until the sounds of shooting stopped. After that she looked around, although she stopped short of actually exposing herself.

"...Pew?" her bag asked.

Lillie looked down at it. "...I don't think it's safe yet, Fellow. They'll let us know when it is, I hope...."

Jack-O' - Invictus

"Part of me is rather glad that they are back home but-"

A stomp sounded, Jack-O's foot having stamped itself into the ground, while Lantern bounced in motion with it, slamming into the head of one of the downed androids with intent to crush.

"-this is not particularly conducive to a team effort."

Another stomp, and another android's head shattered. Jack wasn't really perturbed. Actually, she was a little perturbed. For the fabric of reality to be this unstable was no good sign. There was no scientific backing for this worry, it was just instinct. Still, for now, the mission distracted her, she had no choice but to move forward into the tram station.

The gaggle of bodies was just about expected, but to have so many concentrated in this one area? There was one possible explanation.

"Something must've ambushed these poor souls as they tried to escape."

Ragna - Tranquil Harbour, still sticking with Shizuka

Since no one else seemed to, Ragna took it upon herself to answer Shizuka's query.

"Our suits should have maps installed in them... or something. I'm pretty sure."

Ragna twitched towards her sword handle when she heard footsteps.

Hostiles. With ranged weapons.

Damn it all. Lady was right.

A straight hallway made it tough to advance towards a wall of razing gunfire, so Ragna focused on Shizuka once again, standing in her path and holding her arms up in a cross. With a hasty incantation of panicked, but practiced words, a green sphere rippled as Ragna shielded herself and the Joestar from any enemy fire.

Ratchet and Clank-Invictus-Tali's Group-Ready for Exposition

The duo helped the small group push past their android attackers, and together they all came face to face with a massive chasm carved into the side of the ship they were on. Yep. They were definitely off planet.

Turning to the group Ratchet and Clank now found themselves part of, Ratchet thought that now was as good a time as any to get some answers. "So, now that we're out of danger for the moment, anyone want to fill us in on what's going on here?" Ratchet asked over the comms, ears twitching curiously. "Who are you guys? And where are we?"

Combat Chatter

"TOUCHDOWN! Though why those weird Americans from across the pond would call such a sport football is way too much beyond me. The only foot I've seen is a kick in the beginning of the scramble, most of the time it should be known as hand-egg! And they dare insist on calling football soccer! How utterly sacrilegious! Am I right, or am I right?" Looking down at the horrifically battered and downed foe that had been the recipient of his 'enthusiastic attention', the knight's armored hand reached out to shake the guy's head up and down to make the sleeping meatbag seem to agree with his words.

Sighing as if grieved at the horrible naming sense from the sport in question mentioned in his rapid-fire spiel of overflowing emotions, the pink haired warrior saw the action from the corner of his eyes. The lone armed opponent though outnumbered was still a feisty little thing, refusing to lay down his arms and attempting to take potshots at his current set of allies- especially his Master. Despite the fact they had only known each other for at most a few minutes, the demon nun princess was most certainly to the paladin's tastes and thus someone he got along with swimmingly, a 'comrade' if you will. And Astolfo was a man famed for his great loyalty in the legends.

Grabbing the gormless pirate he had crashed into by the leg, the Rider grunted in annoyance before leaping into the air and using that very human as an impromptu bludgeon/barrier at the aggravated aggressor brandishing his pew-pewing sidearm, swinging the human by the ankle for added momentum and overall range of momentum before impact. A hero who had fought in various wars to unify Europe under the rule of the Church, this particular young man was someone who was nice to his friends and hard on foes considering his overall track record.

Professionalism

Ears picking up a lull in the action, Thief nodded for a moment before bursting into a sudden flow of kinetic motion down the hallway. Using the overall dim atmosphere and the others who came before her to block the view of the space pirate, the swift but silent killer loped into a particular running pattern that kept the upper body leaning perpendicular to the ground while the legs pushed the frame ever forward with great power. It was a style of running that most couldn't pull off without falling but one that once mastered would be incredibly useful in many situations.

Spinning the dagger in her hand into a reverse grip, a particularly cold gleam came into the dark elf's eye- one comparable to the piece of sharp steel held loosely. The path of the Grim Reaper was to hide in the darkness and take lives in a swift manner, preferably while the target was not expecting such a thing. It was a class in its own category, having carved its name into the annals of the underworld through the sheer amount of blood shed, the assassins that all other assassins feared. And now, the man who her shadow magic struck was chosen- but not to die. Timing the interval between gun shots, Thief all but glided forward the staggering target with the intent of wrapping the man up in a submission hold with a knife held to the throat in order to help foster an end to hostilities by holding a hostage..

Tali'Zorah - Invictus - Spacewalk

As the heavy doors slammed shut behind them, Tali took the time to plant another light/beacon on the wall. The first one might well be scrap by the time they returned. They might all be scrap, for that matter and she was just wasting her time. She couldn't worry about that now. What she could worry about was the spike in hard radiation. They couldn't stay here for long, but it might well be worse up ahead. Still, that blast door wouldn't hold forever. Maybe only minutes, depending on the strength of the protective algorithms Lila had used to seal it. Maybe seconds. Fortunately, the way ahead was cleared by Lucina's quick thinking and action, and she moved to folow him, crawling through the opening to avoid catching her equipment frame.

Getting to her feet again, she too then looked out on the vast blackened gash cut into the warship. She shivered. No matter how many times she saw it, such destruction always made her blood run cold. Her home was one hull breach away from turning into...this. Shaking off the destruction, she turned back to thinking. My jamming drones must at least be keeping the AI from detecting us directly through our tech's energy signatures. It only knew there was someone in the fighter bay because someone used the lift and it sent that drone down to make sure no one else was there and disable the thing while it was at it. Maybe now's our chance to evade it again, and find a secondary computer access point that we can cut off and sift through. If we can cut off any part of this AI's control over the ship, it's worth the time.

She looked out at the wide gap between them and their destination. The debris out there was a problem. Just jumping across might run them into it and even if it didn't have jagged edges, it might knock someone off course and out into open space. Fortunately, she had thought about this in the event they had to go hull-walking. It would be a poor salvager that didn't have a safety line of some kind. As she swung out one side of her frame and unhooked the requisite gear, she spoke into the comms.

"See if you can find a computer access point to cut off and examine while you're waiting, Samus. Or anything that tells us more about what happened. Don't go too far, though. Lila, can we gain access to anything like that through any of these decks? Or maybe any security measures that would help us against these drones?"

While waiting, she hefted the item she had gotten out. It fired a magnetic anchoring patch attached to five hundred meters of nanocarbide weave cable and the other end came with an attachement ring for clipping to one's belt or harness and a mag-patch for anchoring the firing end to something else as well. That, combined with another item, would let them cross in relative safety. But first she wanted to make sure of where they were going.

"Keep an eye out behind us and make sure nothing comes through," she told the others. "Also, don't look at the stars for too long, it'll make you sick. Focus on whatever's under your feet, whatever's constant."

Mary—A bitter peace

"Yeah ... I guess you are right. She smiled to Max as he tried to comfort her." This place has been terrible for socializing, but I am glad you two are around here." She told Lila and Max.

"So, Lila I guess we should regroup? There is not much to scout around, right? I don't see the point of being separate from the others."

But then the news of Jeda leaving sunk on her. It felt like a dagger piercing her stomach. As if losing Foxrot hadn't been painful enough could.

"Why do I have to lose everyone that cares about me?!" She shouted, sporting a furious frown. "I am sick of being alone."

The robots were already defeated, out of frustration she began to kick what remained oremained of them. She closed her fist, punching the console nearby, that would would destroyed it, reducing it to rubble. She began to punch what remained the robots again and again, until they were reduced to scraps and rubble. She kneeled on the ground with her.

A single tear came from her right eye, followed by others. She attempted to hide her tears eyes with her sleeve, while looking down. "I didn't even get to say goodbye."

Morrigan-The power of seduction

As soon as the weapon was in her hands, she dropped it in an instant. For her a weapon like that was simply useless

The surprise shoot from the goon was simply covered with one of her wings, bouncing harmless away from her body. Luckily for her, the pink haired servant jumped at her aid.

"I always get the best company," she said while she watched the paladin in action. After Lady had shot him, the succubus approached the now subdued man with a slow pace. Morrigan touched is head and then she played with his hair at the top of his head as if he was a little kid.

"Lucky for you I am not one to hold grudges"

The succubus faced the man staring directly at his eyes. Their faces so close and her lips so open it would seem as she was about to kiss him. But not quite.

"We're just a little...lost. Do you think you could help us? I promise to make it worthwhile for you." She shallower her saliva while still staring at him.

Scott, Invictus - Repair bay to damaged decks

Even with the danger of the situation as the group fled the room, Scott managed to lag behind. Partially out of getting a kick out of the fact he was walking on the roof and could see the others above him but was kind of below, but also the fact that it was tripping him out and making him a bit nauseous. Still, he made it through the doorway; Nearly jumping when it slammed shut behind him.

As the group progressed, the Canadian continued to move along the roof, chuckling to himself every time he looked up at the rest of the group. His mood was lifting slightly after the shitty start to the day, but he could feel the lack of sleep tugging on him. He forced it to the back of his head, refusing to think on it.

Finally, when having to walk down the wall and move through the small hole, Scott just decided to move back down to the floor; Wandering up beside Lucina to stare into the abyss. He eyed the dark chasm with something approaching awe, the experience of standing somewhere he never would have imagined standing getting to even him. "Whoa..."

He was silent for a few more moments, lost in the sight before him. Finally, he slowly turned to look at the bunny-girl beside him. "So... do we want to just jump across? I think it might work."

Akko - Sierra, Hotel, India, Echo... (Harbour)

Well, all the others made quick work of the attackers down the hallway. While Akko had her shield up, everyone else came from behind and got rid of the pirates, some using technology, others using magic. Magic she hadn't seen before, but seemingly extremely potent with its use. Interesting. More questions that she needs to ask once things settled down.

Once the shooting stopped, Akko peeked behind her shield and scratched her face, with an awkward expression.

Is it over? she simply asked. Can I put the shield down now? she also asked.

Leah - Tranquil Harbor (Carnage Town)

Leah flitted in behind the others, holding a knife in her hand at the ready. It seemed to be for naught, as the others were more than willing to finish off their assailants without any additional prompting. "I take it some of you would care to help yourselves to their weapons? We do seem to be on a bit of a schedule so take what you need quickly," she stated to the group that was shooting, smashing, or otherwise beating the life out of whatever was left of their three attackers.

"And here I was beginning to think that the way of the gun meant nobody knew how to properly handle a knife," she added, observing the Thief's handiwork while casually flipping the knife in her own hand. Devil's hands being idle playthings and whatnot. "I don't believe I've had the pleasure of an introduction, or else I would have remembered someone dressed as if they were from my own world rather than the future that seems so prevalent."

Tessa - Tranquil Harbor (Cover)

"Well it sounds like they have things under control now, it might be clear," Tessa said, popping her head around the doorway and seeing... well it wasn't exactly clear how to describe it, but things were definitely 'clear' in one way or another.

"We should be able to go ahead now," she continued, standing up and dusting off her suit with her hands, though there wasn't much dust to begin with. It was mostly as a force of habit, which also explained why her hand went up to grab her ponytail and casually played with it as she looked back at Lillie and Susan. "Don't worry, okay?" she asked, giving the kid the best smile she could muster. "I've been through lots of tough stuff, I'll make sure you get back to the ship."

She tilted her head a bit slightly when she realized there was an extra bit of sound coming from Lillie's bag.

"Did you bring a cat with you?"

Samus

Subject "Invictus Drone" logbook entry updated. Subject shows medium combat aptitude and a large array of technical skills. Care is advised when fighting them, as they can manipulate the battlefield to their advantage. However, the drones are not equipped with weapon systems or armour and can easily be neutralized.

"Copy that, Tali. I'll keep an eye out."

Samus opted for not taking a seat, instead letting her scan visor take a look at the corpses. She wondered if they would have the same wounds as had been reported in by Tali's group.

Reimu

Reimu's hand twitched on the gun, but something kept her from pulling the trigger.

Oh come on, why now? How many have you killed your whole life? Hell, how many didn't you mow down yesterday? You were ready to kill this man just a moment ago! Is it because he's talking? That you will hear his breathing stop, see his body go limp, his skull shattered, his eyes glaze over-

Shots rang out, and Reimu was thankful that they were not her own. Lady had taken charge while Reimu hesitated, and the pirate had been neutralized peacefully. Doing her best not to let her mental state show on her face, the incident resolver stepped back to let her teammates take care of the interrogation. She felt sick.

Max, Not Too Good At Handling This

The situation was more or less clear in the ready room. It was time to proceed... at least until Mary had her outburst. Well, calling it an outburst was probably being unfair to her. If he could help it, Max would make sure nobody so young gets to see a battlefield. Losing someone dear to you wasn't something he wasn't unfamiliar with either.

He knelt by Mary, offering a reassuring pat on the shoulder. "I know how you feel." It was something of an empty platitude: with luck, Mary could yet see this Jeda. He couldn't say the same of his squad or of his wife. "But you can't let the despair get the better of you. I don't think anyone, Jeda included, would want that."

He stood up. "Come on, kiddo. It's best not to stay behind in a place like this." He resisted the urge to take her hand and keep her close. Sometimes this life just wasn't fair.

Assuming Mary went with him, he joined Samus and Jack-o just in time for the latter to make her comment. Max took a moment to look at the bodies, then up the unending shaft. "Something tells me that the tram might already be ferrying someone, and not necessarily someone friendly." He muttered, glancing back at the other end of the tramway.

Susan, Tranquil Harbor's Daycare Service
There's usually a certain order of priorities to these situations, but of course Susan was above such mortal concerns as being shot at. Her attention was drawn to burning a hole in the back of this Astolfo boy's head. He was one of those kinds of people.

Idle Chatter

"...Firearms are powerful but like all tools it is up to the hands of their owners to maximize overall potential. Just like how they are powerful at range, they too have their weaknesses such as the fact the bullets fly only in a straight line or the fact that the false sense of contentment lulls most owners into letting their close combat skills deteriorate. Those with knives can't help but keep their instincts keen because of how dangerously close they skirt along the borders of life and death." Commenting on Leah's question with her own professional statement, the assassin indulged a little by letting the tip of her mouth quirk up in the smallest of smirks.

"Though you can call me either 'Thief' or 'Shadow'. I hail from the city of Underfoot from the country of Arad and my race is Dark Elf. My real name shall remain undisclosed for now since those descended from fairies take the whole 'real name' thing rather seriously and it is much too soon to give trust as willingly as one would do towards close companions or family." Continuing her particular stranglehold on her caught pirate, the Shadow Dancer idly pricked the tip of her wickedly sharp blade next to the jugular so that any attempt at flailing would result in the nicking of that particular passageway. "If any of you all would be so kind as to ask the important questions, please do so. Me, I'll just help to contribute this as my newcomer's compensation to avoid freeloading."

Astolfo

"TARGETS NEUTRALIZED!" Shouting towards Akko, Astolfo flashed a thumbs up after the subsequent bludgeoning with his literal human weapon to show that everything was alright, dusting off his hands before stretching. Of course, the sheer amount of hostility directed towards his way was pretty noticeable to one such as a knight and Servant so the little lad instantly locked onto Susan with a quirked eyebrow. Tall, skinny, horned, and with large nails. All in all she looked more like a pagan caricature of heathen deities rather than a true human and the bloodthirst in question didn't really help at all.

Still, there was no need to be rude and the fact that she was hanging around these people meant that there was more to her than simply appearances. Cocking his head to one side, the crossdresser decided to leave subtlety to the Assassins and get down to the nitty gritty. "What's wrong? Was it something I said? Because you look like you want to tear out my internal organs." Smooth. As. Ice.

Tranquil Harbor (Cover)

Upon hearing from Tessa that it was indeed safe, Lillie stood up and let her bag fall to its usual place by its side. Then she walked a little out to see the situation herself. On one hand, she couldn't say she had much sympathy for the people who attacked them. On the other hand, she winced and frowned heavily upon seeing just how badly their aggressors had been roughed up.

Taking her mind off the sight, she turned back to Tessa as she tried to comfort her about the situation. She managed another small smile before frowning again.

"...I know we're looking for someone, but is that what we're trying to do here, exactly?" she asked, "Do we know if this person's even here?"

Then Tessa asked if she had something called a "cat" with her, followed by Susan saying it didn't sound like a "dog." It took her a few moments to realize that they were probably talking about Fellow, which made her frown even harder. One part of her realized she wasn't back in Alola, far away from anyone in Aether, and thus there was probably no worry about them knowing about Fellow. On the other hand, she wasn't so sure she wanted to let Fellow out right at this very moment.

"Well, I...."

Then another one of the group promptly told Susan that she looked like she wanted to tear out her innards. She winced again, before giving the girl in question a look somewhere between yet more worry and severe disapproval. Then she turned to Susan with a look that seemed to be begging her to not take that too harshly. Then she glanced back at the previous girl, who upon a second glance might actually be a boy, with the same expression.

"Can you two please not fight...?"

One part of her actually agreed with the girl's...boy's?...other person's assessment. Susan was pretty scary looking, even for Lillie personally it was just because she was covered in blood at the moment. Come to think of it, that would make Susan an excellent host, wouldn't it? Then she winced and tried desperately to shove that thought to the back of her mind.

Carmilla & Sypha, Tranquil Harbour Fight

"Well, that was easy," Carmilla smirked as the fight with the three raiders ended, before she and Sypha turned towards Susan and Lillie down the hall and headed to them. "Glad you could join us... and with a little friend as well!"

Carmilla and Sypha looked at each other and offered their hands to Lillie, before Sypha spoke to her, "Are you going to be alright?"

Mary-Do it for him

"You're right, this is not what he would've wanted. I can't let him down" she replied to Max. She cleaned her tears, giving a half smile to him. " I don't like people thinking I'm weak. I don't have anyone that misses me back home... He was the closest I ever had to a family. I lost two people close to me already. " She looked down. " Thank you for listening, I am not used to people seeing myself crying. "After giving a long sight she stood up and followed Max."

Through another channel she was able to hear new foreign voices. Judging by the static they weren't meant to be Jeda's replacements as the priest was still there when they arrived.

Mary cleaned her tears with her sleeves. She tried to frown to look tough but with a frown her teary red eyes were still a give away.

"Uhm yeah...We— ," she spoke to Ratchet at Clank after hearing them talk, through the comms. "You must be new here.— This is a little awkward as I am in another section of this ship. Long story short: we were all taken from our homes just like you. We need to find someone called "Rook" or our else our worlds will be erased from existence. This is just a mission that will help us find her."

She named called those, not in the scouting team, that she had just met, "The bossy one is Tali, Scott is weird but he is nice in his own way, and Tucker is the funny guy in the blue armor, I am Mary by the way. " She tried to sound enthusiastic, but from the sound of her voice she sounded more jaded and drained than energetic.

Ratchet and Clank-Thankful for the Assistance (on the Invictus)

Listening in to Mary's explanation over the comms, Ratchet's eyebrows rose when he heard what was going on. "Wait, erased from existence? Like, what, someone's going to blow up your planets? Someone's seriously trying this again?" And here you could hear a tint of exasperation in Ratchet's voice. "All right. So how is this 'Rook' person supposed to help us prevent that?" Hoo boy, this was shaping up to be another galactic level emergency.

Clank too realized how dangerous the situation was. But he recognized something else from Mary's tone-that something wasn't right with her. "I am Clank, and this is my companion, Ratchet. Pardon my interruption, Mary," Clank chimed in from his position on Ratchet's back, his voice as polite as ever, "But are you alright? You sound troubled."

Leah - Tranquil Harbor Bloodbath

"Someone wanted him alive for whatever reason, but I'm certain if they can't get what they want we can finish him off and move on," Leah said, glancing back over her shoulder to try and recall who wanted to interrogate him. The pink-haired girl? The beef woman? In any case, if they couldn't bother to get their questions answered soon they would need to move on regardless.

"In any case, it seems we have a moment to spare before we move on. I can't say I've ever heard of an Elf before, much less a Dark Elf, but it's a pleasure to meet you nonetheless - considering the current situation, that is," she added. "We can leave the discussion of races and history for another day, but for the time being, know this, Shadow: I am Leah and like you I am trapped in this place far from home, forced to do our conjurer's bidding. We quest for a magical device known as a drive which serves as a codex containing information on a woman we seek."

Tessa - Tranquil Harbor

"We're just trying to download some files off of a data drive on this ship, because it might have information on the lady we're trying to find," Tessa said to Lillie. She gave the girl a wink. "I know a thing or two about computers, so once we find it I think we should be just fine. Although..." she looked at Astolfo and Susan having some sort of weird interaction going on, something about soccer or blood and organs. And then there were the others doing their own weird things. "It might be a little bit rough getting along when we hardly know each other."

She glanced at Carmilla and Sypha; they had helped her out earlier when they were getting to this ship, so they seemed nice enough. She took a minor sidestep over towards them. "We should make sure to stick together! There were two of those ships docked into this one. I don't think it only takes one person to man each one, which means we might be dealing with dozens of armed contacts. So watch each other's backs okay?"

Tucker - Into The Void, The Fucking Massive Hole in the Invictus

So, ramming worked. It worked painfully, but it worked.

Making a note to thank whatever AI had suggested that later, Tucker followed the group towards the next setpiece area of interest. He crawled through the hole, not daring to widen it with his own superheated blade, and stared out at the massive cavern of space.

It was a little bit sobering. He'd been in a massive spaceship crash with barely any survivors, but he'd never really given it much thought. At least there, it was probably instant. Anyone caught up in this would've died fast when the laser hit, or slow when they got sucked out.

Ratchet's second question caught his interest, though, and he did his best to respond to it.

"It's kinda like a universe is a bowl of soup. Except our bowls have holes in them. Small ones. We can eat the soup before it drains away, but there's always the risk that more holes will make the soup drain away too fast, right?"

"Except the guys who're sending us on these mission live in a colander. Their soup is going fast. But Rook can weld the holes shut and save the soup, and do the same for our bowls. Nobody's trying to poke holes in our bowls, but they just happen, y'know? Accidents and stuff."

They do have medals for almost, and they're called silver!
