Um, hey.

So, any tropers watching this show? Because this seems like something Tropers would get a kick out of.

Anyway, I seen the first two episodes through PERFECTLY LEGAL MEANS and...

...holy crap. This show is really all over the place. It's supposed to be a Sci-Fi horror dramedy, but the show itself is really leaning on horror, isn't it?

I probably shouldn't be watching more because any form of media that involves brains and other vital body organs make me nauseous and squeamish to the point where I get a headache.

But on the other hand, I want to see Mary Elizabeth Winstead hopefully beating the crap out of the goddamn space bugs because they are being complete and utter little shits right now.

And I'd start a Work page, but again, nauseous and squeamish. So if anyone wants to get on that themselves, that'd be super.

Oh also, Portal fans? The disturbingly upbeat "Previously On" songs that play starting in episode 2? They're evidently written by the same guy who gave us "Still Alive" and "Want You Gone".

Bump.

Oh hey, you know how I said I was too nauseous to do a page for this show? I guess I'm kinda over it since I managed to start it up.

Feel free to add to it whenever possible.

I like the cast a very great deal and it is pretty darn funny. I do not much care for it's attempts at treating the parties evenhandedly, because it makes the show commit the classic centrists fallacy in spades, but I'll likely keep following it.

I watched the Pilot, I'm just atm not sure I will follow up.

Don't get me wrong, it wasn't bad, its just a bit...too over the place for me?

I mean, I'd probably watch it as political series or as a pure sci-fi series, but the mixup...eh

I'm kinda stuck with not wanting the Sci-Fi slowed with the Polit plot and not wanting to care about the Polit if every character might just get taken over by the bugs and thus ruin everything in their plotline. Like I can feel myself forcibly not caring about Senator Brother because I am sure he'll be taken over eventually.

Might binge it after season 1 finishes.

Yeah, not sure I'm gonna keep watching this. I almost think it would work better as a normal political thriller. The show has an excellent understanding of how politics works, not falling into the cult of centrism while still showing that neither side is right. And then alien space bugs.

Probably gonna binge-watch it when it's over.
