the amiibo armor can be upgraded, it's just tedious, since a lot of them use Starfragments, and those are really rare if you're playing normally

Apparently, looking to the night sky while at the top of the Duelling Peaks spawns a Star Fragment drop very frequently, if not all the time. Haven't tried farming it myself, but, if that is indeed true...

I actually do recall getting my hands on a star fragment while standing on top of the Dueling peaks stable just a little while ago.

I'm gonna try it again now I think. See if that helps.

As I recall, if you're only going to get one set of each armor, you'll never have to worry about armor storage. The people who have hit the armor limit are the people who buy multiple sets of different armors (mostly to dye them and have different looks in different areas).

The other day I watched a video on that Dueling Peaks and star fragments thing. It actually works pretty well, though can be a bit time consuming.

(Feel free to skip the first 15 or so seconds of that video. The creator has guest introducers start off all his videos.)

Where the fragment falls apparently is at least partly dependent on what's in your field of view when it drops. Looking north from Dueling Peaks, with the castle towards the right of center in your field of view, apparently results in the best chances of the fragment not falling into Lake Hylia (where it would be unavailable).

The one I got was close to Kakariko village (something I only realized by accident when I checked out where it was again and realized how close it was).

So does killing an Stalnox counts as killing an regular one? Because I'm trying to kill all 40 of them, already got around 20 of them, and I'm starting to run out of places to look.

Yes, they're included. There's 7 red Hinox, 16 blue ones, 7 black ones, and 10 Stalnox.

I'm working through my second run and am experimenting with clothing colors again. You know, the Zora armor looks pretty good in purple! The Hylian Tunic is light yellow this time, and I'm as yet undecided about the Sheikah set. Might go with black, with a crimson face mask.

It bugs me that we get two or three shades each of red, yellow, & blue, but only one shade of green. I'd love to have a dark green thrown in! And it bugs me that the lighting in the dye shop is dim: in sunlight the colors are much more vibrant. (And yeah, I've used Fashion of the Wild to pick colors.)

I'm taking the story in a different direction this time, probably because I have a better idea of what I'm doing. Got the Master Sword before beating any Divine Beast. And this time when I took on Akkala Tower, I had a handful ancient arrows and cleared the entire thing off. Thus the fallen are avenged!

Been thinking how the final dungeon is Link storming Zelda's castle, where she's been holding Ganon prisoner for 100 years. This occurred to me after I announced (to the cat), "Wooo! I freed the dragon!"

I've never been a fan of aiming things in Stasis. I have more weapons than I know what to do with, but I just can't shake the mindset that I'm going to waste them by misaiming. I prefer using Octorok Balloons where I can.

It took me way too long to start experimenting with octoballoons. I love those things.

I loved using them with the giant stone slabs that had things under them. Sure, there are several ways to move those slabs, but the balloons were by far the easiest. Also, I may have experimented with using balloons to lift slabs over enemies, then shooting them down.

The first try is... well, free, I guess in that if not there you're fine. It's only subsequent attempts that get "interesting".

Finally cleared the Trial of the Sword on my Master Mode save the other day. I didn't even wipe for any of the Final Trials; they really do give you a lot of let with the Hearty ingredients and fairies available in the rest areas. I mean, I messed up several times in the final few rooms, but the resources I had basically let me tank them. The first trials are really the worst of it, all in all.

Now, to go through the Champions' Ballad. The -Blight Ganon refights are going to be interesting...

Congrats on beating the Trial of the Sword! I don't think I'm ever going to take that on. It's too much.

Fortunately, Blight Ganon fights also allow "doping". Which is a lifesaver for Thunderblight when you can eat a meal of 4 zapshrooms + 1 dragon part ahead of time and shrug off the lightning.

I'm not afraid of Thunderblight. I was able to fend him off relatively easily last time I fought him (still in Master Mode) by parrying. The only difficulty I have with that fight is trying to get the damn metal poles to short him out; I can never seem to consistently aim it.

No, my biggest concern is Waterblight.

Waterblight rematch is by far the biggest pain on Master Mode.

Out of curiosity, how did you get past that room early on in the Trial of the Sword with the two Silver Lizalfos and lots of water? You obviously can't fight them head-on with the weapons you have at the moment, it's simply not enough to kill them even if you stop them from ever regenerating health.

I'd learned of an exploit by which you can chain sneakstrikes, by wheeling around to the other side of the target before they get back up (even though they're facing you when they get up, they just turn right around as though they didn't see you). So, what I did was take out the archer as quickly as possible, and climb up the bones to get out of the Silver Lizalfos' line of sight, waiting until they gave up and returned to their positions. From there, I gradually made my way to the top of the bone structure, glided down, and chained sneakstrikes on one of them (ignoring and evading the other one until I brought the target down). Then, I climbed back up the bones to repeat the process on the last one.

Took a couple of tries, yes, but, hey, it worked.

Crafty.

I've heard of a strategy involving climbing up, dropping lumber on them, then setting it on fire. As long as they don't notice you, they're too stupid to not stand on the campfire, and so burn to death.
