Yeah, Kojima's definitely One Of Us. For instance, he doesn't think Dawn of Justice is anything special, as opposed to Civil War.
I for one agree with him, I saw Civil War and enjoyed it.
But damn is he a weird One Of Us.
He also may or may not unironically like Twilight. So.
PSN ID: FateSeraph | Switch friendcode: SW-0145-8835-0610 Congratulations! She/TheyIf I didn't already say it before, I'm crazy glad to see Kojima springing back into action after the massive hell he went through last year.
As for the game itself, yup, it's just like every other trailer for a Kojima game ever, not telling us anything about the story, confusing the heck out of us, and has gotten a lot of us speculating and theorizing like a bunch of tinfoil hat-wearing crazies.
However.
It might just be me, but...is anyone hoping we'll be able to clothe Reedus-Man (my personal Fan Nickname for Reedus' character) in the actual game? Because look, if you guys love seeing Norman Reedus' butt, that's great, more power to you.
...But I'm pretty sure some of us can only handle playing as a naked Norman Reedus for so long.
If it's first-person like Silent Hills then it won't really be an issue.
Unless you point the camera down and get a view of little-Norman.
Much better.

Hey, has anyone theorized that Norman Reedus' character is really a clone?
Because you guys know how Oryx and Crake had these things called the pigoons to create fresh genetically enhanced organs?
What if there are characters like Norman Reedus who are made to recreate genetically enhanced humans? It could explain why the fresh hell is there a baby connected to Reedus-Man via an umbilical cord when it's common and scientific sense that human males can't give birth.

So if our Reedus is Naked Reedus does that make the baby Liquid Reedus?
Oh really when?LIQUIIIIIIIIIIIIID!
Nah cause there would also have to be his twin brother Solid Reedus. The baby could be Solidus Reedus.

Maybe Norman is a Snatcher!
And the dead whales are Raiden. ...SYMBOLISM up in this.
Jason has come back to kill for Mommy. No, see, Reedus is actually one of the mechas from Zone Of The Enders. The baby just accidentally pushed the eject button.
So Norman is Jehuty and and the baby is Leo? Well, "Jehuty" isn't too far off from "the booty"

Apocalypse: Dirge Of Swans.Clearly it's his attempt to one-up Metroid: Other M.
Toddler reacts to Death Stranding.
Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that. That's gotta be the cutest damn thing I've ever seen.
"We'll take the next chance, and the next, until we win, or the chances are spent."It's a very nice Photoshop, yeah XD
Two analysis videos summing up and extrapolating on the information that's been released so far:
So, what do we think?
Having read interviews with Kojima, and having briefly followed some of the community discussion surrounding the Death Stranding reveal, one thing I'm absolutely convinced will come to pass in terms of the design of this game is that death will not be an absolute failure state like it is in most other games. Instead, it will be an integral part of the core gameplay concept. Whether this suggests some kind of time travel, parallel dimension-hopping or reincarnation mechanic, or hints at some transhuman element like simulation or brain uploading, I can't be certain. I do have my hunches, though. In particular, the possibility of trashumanism featuring prominently in the game is indicated by the artificial cables connecting the baby and the dead sea life, and Naked Reedus' cross-shaped abdominal surgical scar.
Given Kojima's talk about "connection" being an important theme of the game, I'm also fairly certain that the core gameplay loop will involve interaction with the invisible "black oil specters" that are featured in the trailer, if that is indeed what they are. Maybe finding out just what they are will be one of the driving mysteries of the game, and the "sticks and ropes" Kojima talks about refers to the options you'll have when deciding how to treat them. Treat them as a threat and hit them with the stick, or try to bind them close to you. Either way, I can't friggin' wait to hear more.
And now, a rousing tribute to Kojima put together by some talented fans:

yeyHeh heh heh.
Ha ha ha ha ha ha.
Sorry, but there's something oddly satisfying about seeing Konami being down by 45.00 POINTS in the TYO department as of this posting and shortly after Kojima revealed his next big thing.
...Did I say oddly? I meant the opposite of that.

Just wondering but have we gotten a conclusive answer to why they fired Kojima, besides what Muranaka said about him spending too much? Because if that truly is the case, then holy shit is it karmic justice.
HE KNOWS!◊
