I got one question. Can I remove the Tainted by the Preview example from the PokΓ©mon Sun and Moon page? The game already came out and both of them provided to be good in Ubers, especially Lunala.

You could say that it ultimately wound up being a Subversion, maybe. Put them both in one entry, say that initially, the playerbase thought they would suck, but then that they were pleasantly surprised to see how good they both actually were in the metagame.

Pretty sure "subversion" implies intent, so no.

Oh.

Well then just delete it I guess.

If the preview made people think twice using it, it still counts right?

I encountered a Pokemon Center Lady (No, they are not called Nurse Joy, you're thinking about the anime a bit too much) in the Battle Royal. My mind was saying: "what". It turns out it's possible to encounter them in the Battle Tree and the Battle Royal battles.

No, I have not change my opinion about the Battle Royal.

I'm kind of surprised they low balled players' interest in getting BP so much, considering how easy it is to do and how, unlike catching Pokemon, it's something that's always relevant. We're currently near 100 times the end goal of 250,000 BP with 11,298,000+ BP.

I guess underestimating is better than overestimating, though.

I don't understand. I can only get one BP every fight in the battle tree. What's everybody's secret?

[up] There's no secret. All you need to do is keep winning. For example:

1-10 streak: 1BP for each victory

11-20 streak: 2BP for each victory

21-30 streak: 3BP for each victory

I guess I should have known that; I haven't even reached a 10 spree to face the boss because of the relentless difficulty of the Battle Tree, despite me using the right natures on my PokΓ©mon and having the Effort Values allocated to my favor. Best I could have done so far was reach 7 before things went south by some unfortunate series of events.

And for Super Battles, you already begin with 2 BP per battle iirc

The first true candidate for my Battle Tree crew is my minmaxed Unova National Garden shiny Haxorus, whom I have hyper-trained.

UPDATE: Just Lunala left to complete my Alola Pokedex in Sun. After that we'll bootstrap dex completion for Moon.

I feel like the massive failure of the first global mission, the one that was a benchmark, is part of the reason.

I wonder where I can get myself a hidden ability Froakie... Too bad you can't specify what ability you get in the GTS.

Should I keep High Jump Kick or replace it with Low Kick for Pheromosa? I'm using it for doubles. I noticed that Smogon recommends Low Kick over High Jump Kick (No, I didn't mistake it for Ubers, trust me), so I think that might be the same for Pheromosa.

Of course, I'm not talking about Doubles TR OU since Deoxys-Attack is available.

Considering how much of a Glass Cannon Pheromosa is, I'd say you'd want to always hit as hard as possible, because if you don't KO something, it's probably going to KO you in return.

Well, do you usually find threats that are big enough to take a lot of damage from a Low Kick? If so, it ends up being better than Hi Jump Kick, since it's less risky to rely on.

I mean, a max powered Low Kick will always cause less damage than Hi Jump Kick.

Just oftentimes, that does mean to yourself. :p

Well, there's the fact that Protect is pretty common in doubles battle. Hitting a protecting target with High Jump Kick will cause the attacker to lose a lot of its health.

That doesn't matter in Battle Tree, of course.

Protect is so common in doubles that not only was it not uncommon to see Mega Gardevoir sets run Imprison specifically to counter it in ORAS, you also see some pokemon running Detect instead to counter Imprison.

It's the one move that absolutely defines the doubles metagame, running Hi Jump Kick is almost never a good idea there.
