Actually, wasn't there an episode of the anime where Darkrai was accidentally being an asshole and they had to get Cresselia to get him to stop?
Yup. It was a two parter I believe.
Darkrai is a mythical likely for marketing reasons. It's the "cool" and "edgy" mon.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.To be honest, Gen IV had the right idea for mythicals: Expanded sidequests, rather than being handed out.
Shame they decided it was "too complicated". Because catching the 3 legendary beasts in Crystal wasn't.
FFS, it is as if the game directors never took notice at how 10 year old kids play Pokemon.

I liked the sidequests in Gen IV, but now they just have you download the Pokemon and some weirdo at the Pokemon Center gives it to you with the most effort on your part being typing in a code and soft resetting for the right nature.
There is evidence that Darkrai wasn't meant to be Mythical only.
Goddammit, Schezo... || *insert incredibly thirsty copypasta about Dr. Ratio*Bad link.
I have been thinking about Male Salandits - maybe in a future game it'll be able to evolve, perhaps into a speedy physical oriented Lizthario?
I hope so-too few divergent evolutions for my taste, and I would like to see a different build for Poison/Fire. Also, I want my Mega Butterfree.
Here's my take on Mega Butterfree (it's kind of an old take, feel free to change stuff and criticise).
Mega Butterfree
Bug/Psychic
Prankster

Dhelmise is huge.◊ Holy fuck, I didn't expect that.
It is an anchor.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.It also happens with real anchors, I didn't expect them to be that large the first time I saw a real one, but, of course, it makes sense.
Which also means that Dhelmise's wheel isn't like a ship's steering wheel, it's probably a giant wheel used for raising and lowering the anchor, which explains why the two are connected by a chain, and the compass is like a big table compass.

I didn't expect Dhelmise to be that big either.
Actually, Dhelmise makes even more sense than I thought. You're not going to mount a compass on a vertical wheel, you're going to mount one on a roughly horizontal wheel, such as one traditionally used to raise and lower the anchor.
I'm actually more surprised by Araquanid.
Edit: Unless that's just the Totem Araquanid, yeah.

You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique! You can see both Araquanid in the image.
You know what I love? That you have a Switch while Team Skull still has a couple of Wii Us.
Maybe they just didn't bother to upgrade the Team Skull Wii U's?
I mean I'd believe it if they were Wiis pre-Ultra...
My DA account... I draw stuff sometimes!Clearly they should have been Game Cubes.
what do you mean I didn't win, I ate more wet t-shirts than anyone elsePlease, discerning hipsters like them would go for the Virtual Boy instead.

Because Darkrai is cool, and therefore perfect to be the marketing star for a movie.
The whole thing with Cresselia and Darkrai kind of annoys me because despite being counterparts, Darkrai being a mythical means the two never directly interact, it's just implied connections. Even the anime never did anything with the two, I don't think. The only place to really do anything with the two together was the second Mystery Dungeon game.
