It's an index of tropes that are often associated with bad writing. We don't pretend bad writing doesn't exist, we just aren't allowed to use the wiki as a platform to complain about works. Not the same thing at all.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"But the old Sturgeon Tropes was removed because of their status as an ymmv index. Considering the "often", this is not the case?
Bad Writing Index is the wiki taking a stance on the quality of certain tropes, to be sure. That said, certain tropes are often indicative of clumsy writing and should be avoided unless you know what you're doing.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"The tropes listed in Bad Writing Index aren't really tropes, they're just bad writing.
If anything doesn't belong on the site, it's Pet-Peeve Trope, as that contradicts Tropes Are Tools.

I am sure that Purple Prose and Totally Radical are tropes, they are things put intentionally with a specific meaning. Beyond this, looking to the discussion page and to the list, Fridge Horror was removed without the removal of Fridge Logic, despite the former being subtrope of the latter.

If Tropes Are Tools, then why does this index imply that some tropes are inherently bad? By the standards of the site, the index shouldn't even exist.
