Well, here it's more like he had unrealistically high expectations of her and they got crushed. Still friends, but he'd never be able to get over losing his paragon of idealism that never really existed.

I still can't decide which of those two types I'd prefer, myself, but it'd definitely be a case of wrong girl first, though amicably so; they're still, awkwardly, friends.
You need to get on that writing @presidentstalkeyes! I'm eager to read a fully finished Bv B sometime in the near future! :D

Fully finished? Well, if I knuckled down like I did way back in May I suppose I could finish it before the year's up... unlikely, though. I'm glad you appreciate it that much, though.

Update: Pack Street now has a WIP character sheet, and I'm working slowly on that kinda-drabble Greyhopps fic. Only 500 words so far (busy during most of the day this week), but I want to get them all right.
Well damn. I leave this thread alone for a few days and it explodes. Not that I'm complaining of course. Nice to see some of you guys active here again. 
And I'll be sure to check out the Pack Street pages later.

No rush! Though I will admit I am pretty excited!
Further update! About 1000 words now, will keep it up.
And since this is probably pretty annoying, 
, I'm not sure if he's mentioned here, but I'm going to go ahead and recommend the works of "MisterEAnon", who's done some amazing work with other peoples' fan characters, such as Becca the hyena cop and Pack Street. Some of them are NSFW, though, so I can't link directly!

An update from me; I may very soon have finally finished the dialogue draft for Chapter 12 of BvB. I don't suppose anyone here would be willing to give it a critical pre-reading for in-story consistency and tone and plausibility and in-character-ness, et cetera? I want it to be the best it could be after such a long hiatus.
@Berserker: If you were wondering, I was planning on continuing with your fic once I'd finished this. It'd be a reward, I'm sure.

Obligatory bumping time. Once again, I've edged towards some degree of progress, and have re-discovered how much I can actually get done if I just focus. I've set myself a challenge: I'm going to write 200 tickets before noon the rest of Chapter 12 and Chapter 13 before the year's out. Consider it a belated christmas present. If you're even interested, of course. :V

Double-posting time. Shame on me, but as it turns out, I might not be able to fulfil my previous promise. As punishment for this, I will take my Bellwether plushie and put her in the optimum position to stare at me judgingly while I sleep. :V
As for my new year's resolution, I'm also aiming to get the story as a whole finished before Zootopia's first birthday: February 16th.

Ooh, that's a nice resolution! I really wish I could have a new chapter for tomorrow, but I don't think that's going to happen.
That's also a pairing I can get behind. Its nice to think of someone like Nick having something like a The One That Got Away relationship with her to me.
