I was gonna have Z appear in Earthland at the start, but I'll change it if need be.
How much do denizens of each storybook know about the cosmology? Is it just common knowledge?
I was gonna let Aicha show up at the store from Black Mage Anolis's characters, and then go from there on.
Yep, thanks for the details again btw

"One may feel fear in the face of danger so long as one banishes fear when danger actually arrives"Yea, Sergey and I went over that in a PM, actually.
I don't know about Aster yet but I kinda want to have Lumina join Undying Phoenix's characters at first. I feel that she and Fawnia would get along well due to having somewhat similar backgrounds.
Both of my characters are starting off in Earthland, though over the course of the storyline I have planned for them they'll travel all over the world. I'm a little worried about not having anyone for them to interact with at the start, which seems to be something of a recurring problem for me.
Unfortunately, I don't have any suggestions as to what the OP should cover, beyond maybe more elaborate descriptions of the places the initial PCs start out in.
Icon by Civvi the Civilian! Both of my characters will start out in the Citadel of Fate, but they'll move to the Snow Wastes once Sergey's character is done interacting with them, mostly sticking to those two Storybooks for a good while. They might move to another Storybook after a while, but I have yet to decide which.
Also, I was wondering, is the Citadel of Fate like a democratic council? If not, what is it like? Is that up to us? I was thinking of doing something for Madrid as well (though she won't be a full-blown character), and her story in my head hinges on the politics of the Citadel and Mysteria.
Since I don't have anything specific planned for Aster yet, I would like to have him show up at the Menkos' shop at first as well and see how things go from there. @Sergey and Black Mage, if you guys would agree with this plan, could either or even both of you PM me with some details?

"One may feel fear in the face of danger so long as one banishes fear when danger actually arrives"Thanks, man.
I pinky swear that Z will interact with your dudes, Yome! He'll probably start out in some mall so I can have him acquire a sword. It may seem weird that he could get a sword in a mall, but two of the malls in my town sell swords. There was a replica buster sword at in mine. They also had a Tetsuiga and a really weird looking triangle one.
Anyway, as for the OP, maybe something happens that spans most of the worlds? Nothing like a multiverse-jeopardizing calamity to bring people together, y'know? I remember the NN glossary had a bunch of species that were like beings that regulated the laws of the universe and hunted down the people that broke them. Like the Shades were dudes that went after people that cheated death, and there were some that went after people that messed with time. I gotta wonder, what are they up to now that their bosses are dead?
And the Midnight Palace looks pretty dang rad. Let's go on an adventure there. Illusion could trick them into freeing him.

Thule and Fawnia are going to be starting in the Citadel, and they'll probably move on to any non-Albion non-Mysteria non-Earthland Storybook, since they're saving the first two for last, and having lived in Earthland for a long time.
They'd be willing to travel with anyone who's going the same way.
What do you think about going to Deamoria then? I was thinking about sending Lumina there first. And Mysteria will be one of last Storybooks she will visit as well, due to her troubling history with the place, which she will eventually gather courage to face and overcome.
Sure, they're just travelling the Storybooks for new, interesting experiences, and the more the merrier, in Fawnia's view. Tourists, if you will.
Great! That also means that I get to introduce two more characters, a dryad and undine pair from Deamoria, sooner rather than later.
Well if we have personal overarching story lines I'll follow my backstory and try to unify Forever Beast (keyword likely being 'try').
"One may feel fear in the face of danger so long as one banishes fear when danger actually arrives"@Black Mage: Yeah, the ruling body for Citadel of Fate is a democratic council, with a member representing each Storybook. Though there's probably backup and alternative councils in order to keep things moving along as well.
@Heroic Sociopath: Technically that would be the general manual for Vitality Underground as a whole, which is not this universe. So the Aberrations wouldn't necessarily appear here. However I want to encourage player creativity and action, so your backstory's fine.
"The Omniverse is the collection of all possibilities, and all possibilities must eventually come to pass."I forgot your character was the one who wanted to unite all of Forever Beast. We might need to discuss if there's any history the Menkhos' village has with Aicha.
I think I might have an idea for Earthland. I was thinking for all entrances to it, there'd be a magical barrier that would basically lock any magic on anyone who enters...but not anything. Magical items can and have made their way into Earthland (since I think the authorities in Earthland might need to account for beings that could be kept alive by such items or generally need it to keep them healthy, like a magical pacemaker, etc.), and there exists a small yet thriving black market for such items. How does that sound?
Sure, what would you think, would it be feasible?
"One may feel fear in the face of danger so long as one banishes fear when danger actually arrives"Well, I don't think Nieva's elders would be the kind to unify their village with the other tribes, considering they were in a war with Farmsby, a village of bears, several years before the start of the RP, so I don't think they would've treated Aicha very kindly. The two might recognize her, but I doubt they will considering the kind of customers they get are quite varied. They most likely won't know who she is unless she says something about her mission.
Would they react postitive orwould they think like the elders? Since my backstory involves a turn for the worse on her that could tie us neatly together.
"One may feel fear in the face of danger so long as one banishes fear when danger actually arrives"Parker would probably think more like the elders, while Griffin would probably be a little more open towards the idea.
That sounds like a good beginning, I'll maybe have her mention it at some point, though likely not at the beginning, the incident back then probably would have made her a little weary of just outright telling anyone she meets what she wants to do
"One may feel fear in the face of danger so long as one banishes fear when danger actually arrives"Ah, that sounds like an interesting idea. I mostly think that 'cause it means Z could make a killing smuggling wizards over, since he can gate pretty much anywhere there's a TV and he's immune to reality warping effects like that.
For those who haven't checked the Signups, Unchained Fate is a Constructed World sitting in a void neatly tucked inside the humongous corpse of a dead God. Unchained Fate is a very open-ended roleplay meant for the players to have fun telling stories with their characters. However, there'll also be events started by me available for players who can't or don't want to do their own storylines. In the end, though, Unchained Fate is about the players and not me.
Anyways, the list of approved players:
Yomegami
Sergey_Smirnov
HeroicSociopath
Black Mage Anolis
Undying Phoenix
James Shields
Six different players and eleven characters is a pretty good start for this. Though, given I do want this to be player driven, the Opening Post is intended more just to set things up. So, what do you guys think the Opening Post should address about the Storybooks the characters are in? Oh, and if you guys ever have questions, don't hold back. I'm not at all bothered by questions, and might even get new ideas in the process of answering.
