Kevin Conroy as Plastic Man? Not Tom Kenny as Plastic Man or Kevin Conroy as Batman?

Either Kevin is trying distance himself from the Batman role or Plastic Man is returning to his original personality before becoming super hero Jim Carrey.

Happy 101st post, guys! Not as a milestone as making the 100th post but it is the one after it tongue

Classic Plastic Man was great in that he was essentially a straight man to his own body. It'd be cool to see him be the straight-laced hero type while physically he's doing all this wild, goofy stuff.

Huh. Never knew that. I was always more familiar with Tom Kenny!Plastic Man. tongue

Isn't it great that we'll see more of Batman's villains? I wonder if the same can be said for the rest of the Bat-Family...

I mean, you guys remember how the last Justice League show had that stupid "Bat-Embargo"? It didn't bother me at first, but man, the more I think about it, the more I realize how stupid it was.

Well, we get a lot of Batman as well.

Some people are probably done with it to be honest.

Kevin Conroy as Batman?

It's been confirmed that he's returning to voice Batman.

The Bat-Embargo was only because of the concurrent The Batman series, which is where they wanted to direct viewers who were hungry for Batman content (makes sense, especially because of how beloved BTAS was, they wanted to force the new series out from under its shadow).

Although DC used to have that policy for anything the movies were using. People were afraid it was going to put a limit on the new Flash show, but they changed that policy recently, ostensibly (since they did kill off Deadshot in S3 and Amanda Waller in S4 of Arrow, which people speculate is to make way for Suicide Squad)

I also vaguely remember the failed Aquaman show was why the character suddenly vanished in Justice League Unlimited.

[up]x3 Whoops completely forgot about that.

Anyway, never really mind the embargo barring out Batman villains (after all there are a lot of DC villains to introduce in Justice League, plus Joker received a fair share of memorable JL episodes to make an impact). My problem with it however is that it barred out the use of Batman side characters like Robin, Batgirl and Nightwing. We can all agree it would be awesome to see Dick in the series again and being best friends with the Flash (I blame Teen Titans for this), or Batgirl hanging out with Supergirl (I blame The Batman for this) . . . want to blame Legion of Super Heroes but then realized that it has nothing to do with the Bat Embargo and its made in response to that Justice League Unilimited episode I enjoyed (so I praise that show instead for spiritually continuing an awesome back door pilot).

I'm still sad the DCAU proper never got its own version of the Teen Titans. They surely might have fit as guest stars in a few episodes of JL and JLU.

At least spoiler-tag them, man!

I never understood that embargo thing. How come characters get barred from being used just cause another show is using them?

[up][up]Probably because having a character in more than one property at the same time somehow confuses people. You'd be surprised how often there were misunderstandings about the two different Quicksilvers in Avengers and X-Men.

Plus there are some really greedy companies out there that just don't like sharing. They want the profit from said fictional character all to themselves. Sharing means they might have to fight over which version of a character is better and more popular by the general audience, and one might get more profit over the other because of it. And forget about collaboration, that's probably just super hard to arrange.

There's also this weird ultimatum fans have that there can only be one version that represents their favorite comic book character. I've seen this a lot with Spider-Man and the Joker. Like for example I've heard things like. "Tobey is the definitive Spider-Man, they should bring him back." or "No one will be as good of a Joker as Heath Ledger."

Oh I hope that second paragraph didn't sound degrading, I just think how greedy some of these hollywood companies can be ridiculous. Wasn't meaning to insult you or anything.

I get it when characters are shared out among different production companies. I mean, if Marvel has licensed the Fantastic Four to Fox, it makes sense that, unless a special deal could be worked out, you wouldn't see the Fantastic Four show up at Disney. What seems weird is when two shows produced by the same production company can't both use the same characters. Both The Batman and Justice League Unlimited were from WB, so the higher ups saying "The Batman can use Dick Grayson and Barbara Gordon, and JLU can't" just seems...dumb.

[up][up]-shrugs- It was DC comics decision and I guess they just didn't want more than one show to get Batgirl and Dick Grayson was already in two at the time.

[up][up]I thought it might, and I gotta admit I like the name.

[up]And now I realize why the New 52 suit looks off to me. Ironically that suit draws more attention to the crotch area then the red trunks ever did. Well at least that's how it seems since I'm now focused on it.
