Just a Face and a Caption: Suicide As Comedy

Suicide as Comedy does not show anything inherently comedic in the image—only the caption indicates that something funny is about to happen. For a replacement, perhaps one of the Bunny Suicide cartoons?

There are several there that could work. My picks would be: panels 1, 3, 7, and 8 of "kick the football◊" one; panels 2 and 4 of the end of the "bowling ball and colander◊" comics; panels 3◊ and 1◊ of the Terminator ones.

"Kick the football", by itself, doesn't indicate that the bunny is doing it on purpose, but that he just happens to find himself on a football field at the wrong time. I like other two; preference for the colander, I think.

I dunno, in the football one, the bunny deliberately seems to be pulling the ball underground and then putting its head in place of it.

Out of curiosity, was my first impression—"What's this thing?" and then "Where am I? Oh crap!"

I like panels 4-6 of the Darth Vader one (where the rabbits leaping onto his light saber) from the bunny suicde page.

That one was pretty good too.

I actually like the plane turbine the best. This'd need a crowner.

We'll definitely need a crowner. Personally, I'm torn as to which cartoon I prefer...

I think selecting one that doesn't require reshuffling of panels would be easier, like this◊, this◊ or this◊.

10.2 works best so far.

I'd prefer to avoid using a single-panel one...I dunno if these technically fall into that restriction but I'd like to avoid it if possible. If it turns out that these don't count, then 10.2 is fine.

I think the ridiculousness of 10.2 helps it stand on its own.

Since we haven't had any caption discussion, this one's ready to lock, but 10.2 still needs to be put up, and I can't do it right now.
