Not really gaming habits but growing up my parents used to wake us up between 1:00 to 3:00 in the morning so we could open our presents. I remember getting a Super Nintendo for Christmas that was for the whole family and each of us got a game. We would try our games for awhile until we had to go back to sleep to wake up around 7:00 AM so we could get ready to go to our grandparents. We still go to the grandparents and sometimes we play our new games there.
Batman Ninja more like Batman's Bizarre AdventureI play an ice level from a different game every day of the month. I've also started posting things about them.
Do not fear power... fear those who wield it.I (try to) have Christmas Drawing Traditions. Tomorrow or later I'll have a Christmas pic with my main OC up on DA...
There aren't any gaming traditions for me, I usually just buy up the hot and affordable item on sale on Steam and try something new.
Looks like this year so far, it'll be the Hatoful Boyfriend holiday story arc, until the sales come up and maybe something else interesting and cheap pops up. Hoping for Renowned Explorers getting the level of discount I want.

My DA account... I draw stuff sometimes!I played Super Smash Bros. Brawl's Boss run each year until now because I got Tabuu's trophy on Christmas Eve and I had been trying to get him for months.
You can't get it wrong if it's the truth!Play whatever new game(s) I got for several hours, that's mine.
Eating a Vanilluxe will give you frostbite.I always try to celebrate Chris—I mean Toy Day in Animal Crossing, and by extension, New Years Eve when it rolls around.
When you wish upon a side of beef, soon will come an end to all your griefI get alot of games for Xmas as it tends to be the only thing I ask for, so I tend to only play the newstuff until New Years, sometimes longer if it's really good.
I've noticed that I have ended up playing Team Fortress every Christmas for the last four or five years. Sure, I play other games at Christmas, too (I have enough time, since, well, my extended family isn't exactly warm and inviting to me, even at Christmas) but Team Fortress 2 always ends up being one of them.
Ahh, nothing better than to escape the everpresent Christmas songs to the soothing, cartoony land of Stuff Blowing Up and people screaming "MEEEDIIIC!".

"If I was a tabletop RPG character, my player would be accused of both minmaxing and overdramatic roleplaying." -MeMy tradition is to not play any videogames at all.
Since it's Christmas time, I thought I'd ask about something fun. Does anyone here have any gaming traditions or patterns they like to keep around this time of year?
Every year around Christmas, I play a Lego game, as it's something nice, fun and light-hearted. This started in 2011 with Lego Harry Potter, and it wasn't intentional at first, but once I noticed the pattern a couple years ago, I started invoking it. This year's Christmas Lego game is Lego the Hobbit.
