“Not a promise, not an oath, or a malediction or a curse. Inevitable." - Taylor HebertAlright. Sam Vines for you.
Definitely interested. Now, if I can stop getting less sure of who I want my character to be the longer I try to decide...
Just curious, our characters will still look somewhat like their old selves, right? Like, if my character shows up dressed as Spider-Man, is he going to look like he did before when he takes off the mask, or is he going to look like Peter Parker?
Just pretend I wrote something witty here, okay? How about gender-bent versions of a character like a female version of Kenshin Himura or a Male version of Quiet?.
The graceless warrior, wielder of the edgeless blade, prophet of the old religions, writer of fluent nonsense, saviour of soul and song.Wait, nevermind, I looked at the original post again. Now I get it.
I guess a guy dressed as a gender-flipped female character would look like a girl to everyone except themselves, and vice-versa.
Just pretend I wrote something witty here, okay?Ah alright, cool.
The graceless warrior, wielder of the edgeless blade, prophet of the old religions, writer of fluent nonsense, saviour of soul and song. The mechanics of how the spell works will create no end of confusion for everyone.
One question: what happens if you recursively cosplay? Basically you get inspired by a cosplay fan art and cosplay as said character who is cosplaying as the other character. As an example you cosplay as Strong Bad, and then that cosplay is cosplaying as Carmen Sandiego. What happens, then?

Error. Your World Altering Spell has crashed, Would you like to submit a report?
No in actuality you only end up as Strong bad dressed as Carmen Sandiego. Otherwise anyone who dressez up as any master of disguise could effectively be a gamebreaker.
So. Basic premise, you are at a costume party, dressed up in whatever costume you want, shit happens. And now you have all the powers of your costume.
When you look at yourself, you still see you and the costume you are wearing, what you see in the mirror and what others see, is the character you are dressed as. This will create no end of confusion for your characters.
Also keep in mind that we wanna keep everyone unique, so character costumes are first come first serve.
So, who wants in?
