An interesting choice, though I do have to say I could see Violet, Klaus and Sunny being allowed as an 'inseparable trio' that would be allowed according to the rules.

That's a Firock call, though, not me.

I can still hail the Horde even though the company has shamed us. Strength and Honor even if Blizzard has neither.

Also, the character that I am roleplaying as doesn't have a defined personality so some things may be headcanon, I apologize for that

Generally this is not allowed, since said character would basically be an O.C. Stand-in and defeat the purpose of the RP. But I'd have to check on stuff before making an ultimate decision on that; I'm not really familiar with A Series Of Unfortunate events, and of my friends it seems that only one has read any of it, and he only read the first book over a decade ago. So I'm going to have to do checking the hard way, which I don't really have time for tonight; l'm sorry, but you'll have to wait.

Other things I can mention for now though: The RP can be rather dangerous at times, and I don't like to give characters Plot Armor; are you really sure you want to bring in a 2 year old as a character?

Also I find it personally concerning that you want to play a character who is supposedly very smart, especially about words, then made an egregious writing error in the signup for him. ("Constipate" is not the word you were looking for.)

On another note, you should maybe go ahead and read through the text formatting rules.

Alright then, but please hear me out. First of all, that thing about the 'spelling error' wasn't necessary. I make those all the time, and you probably do too. Second of all, I am completely fine with bringing in a two year old who could possibly get injured. Also, I admit that I didn't word the sentience that you quoted correctly. What I meant to say is that finding the character's personalities was hard to say the least. As for the books, well I hope that you will enjoy them! I'll work on fixing up their bios. If they won't get accepted, than I'll send in the less problematic character of Nepeta Lejion instead.

Note: I did change my character application from Arthur Dent after I realized that wouldn't work out well.

Story: Futurama

Name: Philip J. Fry

Age, gender, and species: 25 (technically 1025), male, human

Appearance: http://vignette1.wikia.nocookie.net/one-minute-meelee-fanon/images/5/57/Fry_660.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20160124000445

Personality: An everyman, Fry is generally kind and polite, although pretty dim. He enjoys nothing more than playing video games with a beer. He looks like a slacker (and he is), but that doesn't mean he can't rise to the challenge. He's also willing to die for his friends, even newer ones.

Back story: He was a pizza delivery guy in the year 2000 when he was cryonically frozen for a thousand years as part of a plan to save the earth from the Brain Spawn. Now he's a delivery boy to the stars, working for the Planet Express. Also notable is the fact that he is his own grandfather after having sex with a younger version of his grandmother.

Skills/powers/abilities: A skilled pilot, and is able to defend himself quite well in hand-to-hand combat. As mentioned above, he is his own grandfather, making him immune to psychic attack. He's also immune to time travel changes, due to accidentally entering another universe with his best friend Bender and his descendant Professor Farnsworth.

Items: N/A

Other: He should definitely be taken from after *The Late Philip J. Fry*, so Season 7 would be ideal.

You might want to elaborate on the backstory and separate it from the personality. To someone who's never read the books, it looks pretty bare and almost useless.

@Magic Spyglass:

First of all, that thing about the 'spelling error' wasn't necessary. I make those all the time, and you probably do too.

I don't really, no, and I feel just a tad offended by the notion, but that's neither here nor there; you're sidestepping the actual point. If you're playing a character who is supposed to be smart and have a particular personality trait about the correct definitions of words, then if you had him say an incorrect word because of a writing mistake on your part, that would be practically out of character for him.

Also I'm not going to read all the books; that would take forever. I'm going to read through their character tropes page to get an impression of who they are. But I'll be doing that a while later today.

@Paulred 7: Ah, Futurama, something I'm personally familiar with! Haven't been getting a lot of those.

You could also stand to look through the text formatting rules at some point, but as for the actual sheet; it seems rather bare bones, and some things are missing that I would've considered important.

You could have stood to mention his full name. Your back story section for him is literally just the opening premise of the show, so unless you're taking him from right around the beginning, that could stand to be expanded at least a little. (Yeah getting into specifics would probably make it too long, but you could at least put something about how he's been on many adventures with them, and maybe mention some of the more notable highlights. Plus maybe elaborate on which point in the series he's being taken from.) You didn't mention that he's immune to psychic effects thanks to being his own grandfather. And from my experience of the show I would've also mentioned how seriously he takes friendships, even relatively new ones.

Lastly, while I think I have an idea of what you mean by "typical space blaster" from the show, that's still a little too vague for me to just allow as is, and also I'm wondering why he would even have it. It's not something he's known for having on him in the series; I don't recall many instances where he did.

@Magic Spyglass: Alright, I have read through the character tropes for the Baudelaire Children. The gist seems mostly accurate, around six typos or so notwithstanding. And I would say that they do seem to qualify as inseparable. There's just one thing that seems wrong, and a few things that seem missing.

I didn't see any mention of Klaus knowing multiple languages, in either the character trope page or the main literature trope page. So right now I have no way of knowing if you just made that up or not.

Furthermore, all three of these characters seem to be somewhat defined by their quirks, some of which are absent from your post. You left out Klaus cleaning his glasses, Violet always burning anything she tries to cook, and Sunny baring her teeth, sharpening her teeth, chewing on objects, and biting people as a way of greeting, gently or hard depending on how she feels about them. All that stuff about Sunny in particular flies against the way you say, "She acts just like a normal child around her age, mostly."

Oh, whoa. Sorry guys, edits don't trigger the watchlist feature, so I did not realize there had been changes here, since neither of you made new posts to mention it or anything.

@Magic Spyglass: Well at least, it says that you edited after my previous post, but the signup looks exactly the same to me. You haven't addressed what I mentioned in that post yet.

@Paulred 7: In yours at least I can see actual changes, though it's only a little bit less bare bones than it was before. I don't see why you put "Season 7 would be ideal"; you're the one who would be playing him, so you would decide exactly at what point he gets taken from.

So I was in a bit of a hunger for more crossover games and decided to give COLC a try once more due to knowing a few people in it, this time with a more wacky character than the ones I used in the past.

  • Story: Mighty Magiswords, during season 2.
  • Name: Vambre Warrior
  • Age, gender, and species: Early twenties, female, and human.
  • Appearance: Warrior For Hire
  • Personality: One could describe Vambre as compulsive and thrill-seeking to a rather absurd degree considering her idea of a good time would be to dodge death traps and get into brawls with dinosaurs. That said, she's quite a bit more street smart and intelligent than her more emotional twin with her mindset being more tough and no-nonsense considering people/events that raise her ire. Though she's a bit of a tomboy and a hooligan, she has a clear sense of morals that put her squarely on the side of good- even if she's not adverse to random bouts of violence and stealing from 'baddies'.
  • Back story: One half of the very small-time in a small town private business Warriors For Hire, Vambre is the older twin sister of the Warrior siblings. Much like their last name, they are warriors and adventurers who chose the life of adventure after being taught everything they knew by their mother Kablammica so as to not live the ordinary and average life of a broccoli farmer that their safety oriented father wanted them to have.
    • Upon reaching adulthood and graduating from Adventure Academy, they opened up Warriors For Hire Headquarters in the small town of Rhyboflavin of the kingdom Lshveria, where after a bit of a rocky start they fulfilled their dreams of going on hair-raising and adrenaline pumping adventures to retrieve objects for gems as they wanted (though they had to compromise and do a lot of more boring errand work as well since you can't have adventures EVERY mission).
  • Skills/powers/abilities: Vambre's a human so she doesn't have any fancy inherent abilities such as lasers or the ability to fly on her own power. That said, she's physically trained enough to the point where she could uproot saplings and kick small trees away as well as lift then throw hefty logs by lonesome and fist fight juvenile dinosaurs. Having being taught by both her ex-adventurer mother as well as Adventure Academy, she knows how to survive in the wilds like any real vagrant (even if she has her own house), is a capable brawler and parkour expert (to get into and out of fights) as well as how to actually be a rather capable swordswoman (though she usually tends to not use her Magiswords as actual swords due to their nature more often than not). She can talk to and argue with her own brain which has a totally different attitude and accent than she does, sometimes even taking over her body to become a mean-spirited sassy woman if Vambre is ever exhausted to the point where she can't control her own person.
  • Items: Vambre carries around a small wireless device called a Magi Mobile that can do anything smartphones can as well as a few features they don't have such as materializing holograms of people on the other. Her tools of the trade gotten from either the Mount Ma'al Raulphio's Shop of Swords or from her various adventures are the eponymous Magiswords... which are basically magical swords themed around their specific concept. Her Magiswords are kept in a literal Bag of Holding (she has so much though that it takes a couple of seconds of rooting around the bag to even pluck the one she wants out before she has to turn the miniaturized swords to their true size) and the ones she has on hand are the
    • Tomato Magisword- Given to Vambre by her dear old mum, it is her first Magisword ever and thus quite treasured. It's used to magically manifest tomatoes and fling them towards the enemy, with Vambre being able to control the various aspects of the fruit such as hardness, juiciness, size, and freshness. It's typically used to humiliate or blind foes with... or on people that make bad puns and horrible theater actors.
    • Lobster Claw Magisword- It's basically a giant lobster claw on a hilt and one of those rare non-ranged ones. Vambre typically uses it to extend her reach and grab things, though the great force of the claws can be used as pliers to crush/cut through objects depending on how hard they are. It can sever wood instantly.
    • Electric Eel Magisword- Has the upper half of electric eel as the sword blade and can be used to tangle things from a long range (fifteen feet worth) by biting or tying the target up. Due to it being an electric eel, it can also discharge the equivalent voltage though it won't work on insulated stuff.
    • Sharkblade Magisword- Lets the holder swim through the water incredibly quickly as well as breath underwater. It has the bite strength of an actual shark and can gnaw through wood, though it's also hard to steer due to it being indiscriminate against anything it can sink its teeth into.
    • Bag of Snakes Magisword- A Magisword that summons a small swarm of snakes and launches them at the targeted area. Said snakes aren't poisonous though they are pretty real and used for gross out/panicking distractions.
    • Blow Dryer Magisword- Manifests a powerful stream of hot air to blow away lighter objects/enemy projectiles. Can cause hair and facial damage if used on full blast as well.
    • Cactus Magisword- Shoots cacti balls as projectiles or calls upon larger cacti to sprout from the ground to hinder/entrap the target. Can also whack stuff and give it a bite of painful needles.
    • Chainsaw Magisword- Powerful enough to slice through trees like butter as well as hardy enough split boulders in half given enough time without any damage whatsoever. The vibrations make using it a bit unwieldy and imprecise though.
    • Exploding Bubble Magisword- A giant bubble wand that can create giant bubbles. When they pop, they explode with enough force to fling someone a few feet. Being bubbles, they're easy to blow away though one can hop off of them as footholds if their timing is good enough.
    • Flashlight Magisword- Works as a particularly big and tri-tipped powerful flashlight. Never runs out of batteries.
    • Flyswatter Magisword- Looks like a flyswatter but is actually used like a giant paddle. Primary functions to squish big bugs as well as deflect slow moving projectiles with elastic power.
    • Giant Egg Magisword- Summons a giant ostrich-sized egg. Useful for smashing into someone or just for a large helping of protein.
    • Radiator Magisword- A rare Magisword that can be used in melee. It's basically a giant hunk of heavy metal with heated coils run about it that can be used as a heater and displays three layers of heat intensity- the first where it glows yellow and can be used to warm a room comfortably given enough time, the second being orange where it can produce steam and is noticeably hotter, and the third being red and hot enough to burn the wielder's hands with its powerful heat.
    • Ground Pound Magisword- A giant metal clenched fist on a handle that is used to smash onto the ground and send shockwaves traversing through solid surfaces to knock people back/off their feet. The harder it's slammed into the ground, the stronger the tremor. Can also be used as a solid bludgeoning instrument.
    • Hover Sword- Hoverboards in the shape of swords, they are Vambre's main method of long distance transportation as they can move as fast as a galloping horse without the need to rest. It can only hover over solid surfaces and thus won't work over water.
    • Jackhammer Magisword- It's used as a jackhammer.
    • Oinkus Oinkus Magisword- Holds the spirit of a pig in the blade and can generate loud eardrum shaking squeals to disorient the enemy with. Said squeal range extends in a wide but short ranged cone that extends five-ish feet away from the pig blade itself. The squeal requires both a wind up and cool down time.
    • Onion Magisword- It has the ability to make things smell like onions. And also emit a powerful onion vapor wave to make people tear up.
    • Pogo Stick Magisword- It acts as a pogo stick. Can jump up three stories high even when something two/three times heavier than a regular human is using it. One can also hold the sword handle and angle the pogo spring at something to bounce them away on contact at high speeds.
    • Rad Rocket Magisword- Summons a small red rocket to fly people towards places at high if somewhat uncontrollable speeds. If one doesn't have superhuman physiology, it might rip their joint out of their socket.
    • Retractable Ladder Magisword- Summons a twenty feet tall retractable latter of a flattering blue color.
    • Snowball Magisword- It fires snowballs or just straight up generates layers of ice over objects. Moving things can break out of the mold pretty easily before it can build up if they're not slow/incapacitated.
    • Sticky Note Magisword- Fire small sticky notes with written messages on them that the user mentally thinks of.
    • Waffle Magisword It can summon waffles and waffle related ingredients/foodstuffs such as whipped cream and syrup. It can also fling hardened waffles at high enough speed to embed themselves in wooden doors.
    • Spiderweb Magisword- It can summon sticky and sturdy large spiderwebs/silk ropes as well as attract and control nonsapient spiders.
    • Muscley Arm Magisword- Pumps up the wielder's arms full of muscles. It has two tiers, the first tier allows someone to throw small people across the room and the second one pumps up their arms even further to the point where they can crush human sized boulders with a single punch. It only powers up the arms though.
  • Other: Vambre speaks in a British accent due to reading too much of her favorite in-show novel series 'Veronica Victorious' and has an almost pathological hatred for pants/leg coverings in general. She also likes to make video logs about her Magiswords on her wireless magical device and has an almost crippling fear of squirrels due to a childhood trauma.

@Makaioh: Well, I haven't heard of Mighty Magiswords, and my friend I was able to contact tonight hadn't either. I haven't checked with my other friends yet, but the character tropes entry for her was pretty short, so I just checked that anyway. While I can't be certain that it was really thorough, it did at least seem accurate with your sheet, save for a couple minor things that seem missing.

The tropes entry mentioned that Vambre is apparently fairly skilled at parkour; also it specified that her brain takes her over only when she's particularly exhausted or tired.

As far as balance concerns go, actually not too much to mention here. I was initially worried about her level of versatility, but since few of the magiswords are directly practical for combat and require actually being inventive rather than just being overpowered, I think I'm fine with that aspect.

There's only two things I would say should maybe be toned down:

  • Her base level of strength, as pushing several ton boulders is starting to push the limits (pun not intended) of what I've allowed with other characters so far. (Not to mention that she can just buff herself further with the Muscley Arm Magisword anyway.)
  • The Oinkus Oinkus Magisword, as being able to stun an entire combat's worth of people on demand without limit could be abused fairly easily.

@Fir:

Yeah, I may have missed a few things yesterday since I was multitasking but you're right about the parkour and the brain thing. For the boulder pushing, I nerfed it down to log lugging/throwing and Oinkus x2 actually has a really short range for eardrum shaking (a couple feet in front of the holder) plus it needs to build up for the squeal to some extent. Due to it being part animal, it can actually get tired squealing as well since there always seem to be one big noise session before it goes dormant for a bit. The stuff we talked about have been edited in the signup.

Vambre Warrior is accepted.

You should double check the first post of the discussion thread, to see what's been changed since you were last here; and also obviously to see the current day rules. As for the main thread, just recapping the latest few pages or so to have some idea of what's currently going on before you have Vambre show up.

Relatively soon (like sometime in the next few days in real life) I'm probably going to be starting the boss fight for Day 16; holding off until Day 17 might be a bit easier for jumping in, but that would mean probably waiting a few weeks or so. So that's your call.

#1089: Jun 13th 2017 at 8:44:42 PM

Making this guy to pull up later on.

  • Story: The Trials Of Apollo (between the first and second books)
  • Name: Lester Papadopolous (actually Apollo the Sun God)
  • Age, gender, and species: 17 (4,612), Male, Human (Immortal God)
  • Appearance: Behold, Apollo! Actually this picture doesn't do it much justice: Lester is a bit flabbier than shown, as well as having acne.
  • Personality: Apollo is an arrogant god. He is self-centered, egotistical and cannot fathom the minds of mortals and their obvious disregard of him. Though that is the case of most gods; being immortal tends to allow your thoughts and needs to dwindle from the top of your priorities. Apollo is a worse offender, however: he constantly makes subjects about himself, gets confused on why the current subject isn't himself, and smites mortals for not being in line with himself. Otherwise, he is a friendly sort - one to make allies quick and try to keep them as such. His time spent as Lester has helped eased this edge to him, fortunately enough, though he still isn't completely able to "care" for others.
  • Back story: To skip a few of the unimportant parts, Apollo was the God of the Sun, Medicine, Music, Archery, Poetry, etc etc for a very very long time. Recently, he has been a very secluded God - after indirectly starting a clash between Greek and Roman demigods, his father, Zeus, banished him to life as a mortal. Again. After a delightful* romp as Lester Papadopoulos to the safe haven of Camp Half-Blood, Apollo discovered that his precious Oracles have been taken over by a Triumvirate of Rome's worst emperors led by Apollo's long-time nemesis, Python. With the help of his new allies, he was able to free the first Oracle right in Camp Half-Blood: the Grove of Dodona. There, he is given a new prophecy and sent westwards, to Indiana, to further his quest and retain his godhood once more.
  • Skills/powers/abilities:
    • Archery: Being the God of Archery isn't an easy feat. Apollo has the skills to pay the bills. So long as your bills are cheap, that is. Due to being a mortal after millennia of being an uber-powerful god, Apollo doesn't quite retain his prowess as Lester. He's able to shoot fairly well - scoring a bullseye about a fifth of the time - but it's still leagues behind what he should be capable of. And what he is capable of is pure muscle memory, so even then it's pretty shaky.
    • Musical Skill: Much like the above, Apollo's time as the God of Music really honed his voice and fingers. And also like the above, he is severely lacking in this department. He can carry a tune and strum a ukulele just fine if you aren't expecting divinely supreme effects from the music he makes. It's still able to effect beings on an emotional level, perhaps due to his godly heritage, but it won't move mountains or cure plagues anytime soon.
  • Items:
    • Bow & Quiver: A regular bow and a quiver full of arrows.
    • Combat Ukulele: That's right, a ukulele made for combat. Specifically, it's a lightweight ukulele that's made out of Celestial Bronze.
    • Arrow of Dodona: After finding and freeing the Grove of Dodona, he was gifted an arrow made from the branch of one of its trees with green fletching. The arrow can actually speak to Apollo, and vice-versa, helping him in his way. The Arrow itself is not prophetic: It simply gives answers to any question Apollo might have. It can't actually tell the future, much to Apollo's chagrin. It also speaks exclusively in Elizabethian English, furthering Apollo's chagrin.
    • Wallet: A plain leather wallet that holds Lester Papadopoulos' New York Junior Driver's license.

@Truth Hurts 22: Alright, as mentioned I have not read The Trials of Apollo; I don't think any of my friends have either, though admittedly I was only able to ask one of them tonight. After reading through his entry on the character tropes page, and a quick skim through the book's main trope page for some other info, this seems mostly accurate. There is just a few things to note.

The trope pages mentioned that Apollo has some kind of healing factor; though as you already brought up on skype, there doesn't seem to be any explanation for how that works exactly. There was also mention of healing magic he can use on others, but it again wasn't elaborated much, and the tropes didn't make it clear if that's something he had only in full on god form or if he still had it as a mortal. There was also mention, and I'm not sure if this is a spoiler, so, that he can still use his divine powers as a mortal, but only if he's using them to selflessly help others and not himself.

The only big hitch right now is that I can't find any specific mention of this "Arrow of Dodona". I did find mention of him saving the Grove of Dodona, but it didn't mention the arrow. (I can't find mention of the combat ukulele either, but it isn't as important.)

EDIT: Alright, found a wiki to check and confirmed that the arrow and ukulele are indeed actual things from the story; though it's very unclear as to how the arrow knows the information that it then gives Apollo. (It almost seems to be vaguely omniscient in a way.) So for the purposes of the RP the arrow should not be treated as all knowing, in particular about topics outside of the setting's universe, or in any way omniscient about things going on that aren't around itself.

The healing factor/magic I left out mainly because I don't remember them at all (they certainly don't come up during the second book) and I figured him already knowing all the medicine stuff would be fine. As for the divine powers thing, I did have that up on the sheet originally, but figured it'd be a bit too Deus ex Machina to be included. Unless it isn't in which case I'll put it back.

That's fine, I wasn't going to make it all-knowing anyways. I'm not exactly sure what it'll be used for, but it won't be omniscient or whatever.

  • Story: MST 3 K
  • Name: Joel Robinson, Tom Servo, Crow T Robot, Gypsy and Cambot
  • Age, gender, and species: Joel is a human male. The others are all male robots, except for Gypsy.
  • Appearance: [1] If you are wondering, Cambot is the one taking the picture. Here he is. [2] And for the record, Crow is the gold one, Tom is the red one, and you should be able to figure out who Gypsy is.
  • Personality: Joel is a laid back, relaxed, and cheery guy, and not a lot can get his goat. He made the bots, and is very much the father figure for them.
    • Tom is the sanest of the bots, but that isn't saying much. He tends to be a crossdresser sometimes, but often, he is the deadpan one. He is very intelligent, but can also be rather lazy at times. He has a very high opinion of himself, and can be quite pompous at times. He also is a bit insecure about his size and shape.
    • Gypsy is the smartest person on the Satellite of Love, by a long shot. Of course, she is the one running the ship, keeping everything in order. So, she doesn't interact with the others often.
    • Crow T Robot is the most naive of the bots, but tends to be the one to make the most sarcastic riffs. He is easy going, but also also snarky, opinionated and quick witted.
    • Cambot is the one who films everything. He never does anything, really, except film.
  • Back story: Joel was just a regular guy in the not to distant future, who worked for Gizmonic institute. He was just another face in a red jumpsuit, but his bosses didn't like him, so they shot him into space. They, Doctor Forrester and TV's Frank, sent him cheesy movies, the worst they could find, as part of an experiment. They would monitor his mind while he watched those movies, to see if he went mad. To help keep his sanity, Joel made his robot friends using the parts that let him control when the movie begins or ends. His friends are Cambot, Gypsy, Tom Servo, and Crow, and they all live on the Satellite of Love. If you're wondering how Joel eats and breathes, and other science facts, just repeat to yourself, it's just an RP, you should really just relax.
  • Skills/powers/abilities: Joel is a very skilled inventor, having created robots which can feel emotions, have allergic reactions and more out of the special parts to watch the movies.
    • The bots skills are.....varied. They know a lot about popular culture, however, especially Earth's.
  • Items: The Satellite of Love. A dog bone shaped spacecraft.
  • Other: The crew of the Satellite of Love are always trying to get off it.

Well, it's more four. Cambot just films stuff. Besides, it would be impossible to have the SOL without Joel and the bots.

Eh, fuck it. I don't even know if this is a good choice but I already finished the signup so might as well see if it would work.

  • Story: BioShock 2 (Sacrifice Choice ending) Delta both harvested and saved little sisters and killed all important NPCsnote
  • Name: Eleanor Lamb
  • Age, gender, and species: 16, female, genetically modified human
  • Appearance: With part of the Big Sister armor. Without the helmet. She is 6'10".
  • Personality: Resourceful and manipulative if pressed, Eleanor is surprisingly mature for her age but still extremely curious and rebellious as many teenagers are known to be. She's willing to do anything to survive, a trait she learned from her dear "Father" but due to several circumstances she considers herself a monster albeit one that maybe could be redeemed.
  • Backstory:
    • Eleanor was born in the early 50s in Rapture, an underwater city created by Andrew Ryan that was supposed to be an objectivist utopia. Her mother—a recognized psychiatrist—was put in charge of dealing with the discontent poor citizens of Rapture that had been promised a chance to get rich by the sweat of their brows. The pressure of a civil war breaking out in Rapture led to Ryan fearing her ability to control the people against him, and getting her arrested. Eleanor got under the custody of Grace, a friend of her mother, but the little girl was kidnapped after finding out that one of her mother's old associates was wasting her money behind her back. Eleanor was brainwashed and turned into a Little Sister, an inhuman being that could create a substance (dubbed ADAM) to power the genetic modifications almost everyone in the city used (plasmids) and put in the charge of a protector who she came to see as her father, known as Subject Delta—a deep-sea explorer that accidentally found the city and got turned into an abomination against his will.
    • The city finally fell into a civil war brought by the fight between Frank Fontaine and Andrew Ryan. Eventually, the escalating conflict led to the New Year Eve riots of 1958 where Sofia Lamb escaped from prison and recovered her daughter by forcing Subject Delta to commit suicide. The events of BioShock, where both Ryan and Fontaine died, left a power vacuum for Sofia Lamb to take over.
    • Gilbert Alexander, one of Sofia Lamb's subordinates, helped her cure Eleanor of her mental conditioning. Lamb's philosophy ran contrary to Ryan's belief in that she tried to eliminate the concept of self with the help of plasmids but her first test—with Alexander himself—was a complete failure since the man got turned into a giant insane blob of meat. Lamb turned to her daughter who had already proven to be resistant to the genetic damage of the procedure thanks to her past as a Little Sister and was infused with the "essence" (memories and knowledge) of dozens of citizens of Rapture.
    • Realizing that her mother was just as much of an authoritarian figure as Ryan, Eleanor decided to cook up a plan to escape the city. She got in contact with the scientist that had originally created the Little Sisters—who was back in Rapture to save the ones used in Lamb's scheme. Together, they revived her "Father", who fought from one end of the city to the other to find Eleanor. Time and time again, Sofia futilely tried to stop him until she decided to sink a whole section of the city out of spite to kill Eleanor and Delta. Eleanor absorbed the powers of the remaining Little Sisters (read: killed them) to escape and killed her mother on the way up. Unfortunately, Delta was fatally injured in the confrontation and chose to die rather than be preserved in her mind through her powers, so as not to be a bad influence on her life.
  • Skills/powers/abilities:
    • Eleanor was already a prodigy as a child, teaching herself how to take apart and repair machines for fun. After years of gene therapy, Eleanor has gained the knowledge and experience of several Rapture citizens. This makes her incredibly intelligent and knowledgeable in a variety of topics including philosophy, biology, and mechanics.
    • She's strong enough to easily lift an adult man by the neck with one hand and can go toe to toe with actual Big Sisters, who can pierce through reinforced glass designed to be miles underwater. Her enhanced musculature also makes her very athletic and agile. This means she can perform amazing acrobatic feats like running very fast or being able jump up to perch up on walls.
    • Telekinesis: Eleanor can lift and throw human-sized individuals with her mind. She can also pull objects near her and throw them with great strength.
    • Incinerate!: A plasmid that makes her able to shoot fireballs from her hands that are as big as her head. These are limited to three projectiles in quick succession and they cause a small explosion on impact.
    • Teleportation: Eleanor can disappear in a bright purple mist and reappear several meters away from her starting point. She can take objects with her but not other people. In the city this would work through line of vision.
  • Items:
    • A diving suit designed to withstand the pressure and freezing temperatures of the ocean. With the air tanks on her back, Eleanor can breathe underwater without difficulty.
    • She wears two gauntlets. The one in her left arm is a wrist mounted needle designed to extract ADAM from her enemies and use it to heal her wounds (it wouldn't work on the city unless she somehow bumped into a Splicer) and the one in her right arm is a harpoon-like melee weapon.
  • Other: As someone that has lived her whole life underwater, Eleanor has little to no idea how life in the surface works. Also, there's a sea slug implanted in her stomach.

No, I don't plan on immediately playing these two. They're for future days. At the moment, you can consider Hol Horse and Koishi permanently dropped.

  • Story: Touhou Project
  • Name: Youmu Konpaku
  • Age, gender, species: Looks 14-ish, Girl, Half-Phantom (There's an explanation for why someone can only be half-ghost but it's long winded. Best of all, apparently it's hereditary!)
  • Appearance: She studied the blade. Young, thin, and despite being apparently 14 can often come across as younger. Not very tall. The thing floating behind her is also her, and when not incorporeal is soft and pliant to the touch. Both of them are rather cold at all times.
  • Personality: Extremely straight-forward and tomboyish. She generally takes everything seriously even when it shouldn't be, and has trouble unwinding in public or private. She's dilligent when given a task, and enjoys hard work, but often chafes at the more inane tasks that Yuyuko gives her. Really, she chafes at most of the dumb shit Yuyuko gets into, though she remains loyal through it. She has an inkling that Yuyuko isn't as dumb as she seems, but she can't tell for sure. Though fearless in battle, Youmu is easily terrified by horror. That is, if you present something as spooky, she'll freak out. Some kind of horrid monster wouldn't make her react, but telling a story about the same monster will have her quaking. It's all about presentation. Similarly afraid of the dark.
  • Backstory: Coming from a long line of half-phantoms who are all apparently expert swordsmen, Youmu is Yuyuko's gardener. This really means that she's a live-in servant/bodyguard who does literally all housework from cooking to cleaning to scrubbing the deck and everything in between. She's officially the gardener though, which considering she can just cut using her sick anime sword skillz, means that she takes care of Hakugyokurou's extensive bonsai, topiary and flower gardens in very quick and percise order. Occasionally, she gets enough time from her busy schedule to go out and help with the various going-ons in Gensokyo. She had a grandpa who's been missing for a while, too.
  • Powers:
    • Being Half-Dead: She's kind of dead, as it turns out! She doesn't have a heartbeat or body temperature, and isn't as immediately affected by hot or cold weather as others, but otherwise she might as well be alive.
    • Flight: You know, she can fly. Like all Touhous. It's actually quite fast compared to her normal movement, and this speed extends to her reaction time and dexterity, meaning she can sword at people really fast-like.
    • Myon: That other half of her, the floaty ghosty bit. Unlike Youmu it can turn intangible, and shares her sight and hearing, but cannot speak or interact with the world beyond bumping into people at high speeds. It can only travel about 10 meters away before it dissipates and reforms at her side.
    • Being Good at Swords: Youmu is good at swords. Whether two-handing or dual wielding, she can use them like a master would. Her cuts go beyond man's capabilities, extending past her blades like a kinda air-slash dealio. These ranged attacks go only a few feet past her reach and can't cut through as sharp of materials as her blade itself.
  • Equipment:
    • Roukanken and Hakurouken: Two cool anime swords. Roukanken is the long one, and is supernaturally sharp and durable. Though her own claims that it can cut through anything are boasting, it can cut through stone easily. Hakurouken is the short one, and can cause mild disorientation and discomfort (beyond, you know, getting cut) upon striking a living thing.

  • Story: Touhou Project
  • Name: Yuyuko Saigyouji
  • Age, gender, species: Looks 20-ish, Girl, Ghost
  • Appearance: You might be wondering how someone can live wearing that much clothing. The answer is, she doesn't! She's dead! Ohohoho! Yuyuko's a good deal taller than Youmu, pretty looking, and well-developed.
  • Personality: A lovable air-head...on the surface. She seems to be lacksadaisical and very simple, which is what she wants you to think. Truly she's quite intelligent and cunning, she just prefers to have people believe she's an idiot. It's better for reputation, you see. She's quite good at acting that part, so few people know she's even like that. Though she's smarter than at first glance, she's still rather lazy. Yuyuko is very dainty and tends to treat everything very unseriously. In addition, she is a glutton. The joy of fine dining is not lost on her even in death, and she won't get fat anyway, so she eats copiously when she can. Enjoys lightly messing with Youmu, and people in general. Has a tendency to put her hand or her fan in front of her mouth when she speaks. Loves speaking cryptically just to confuse people.
  • Backstory: So, in the house of the Saigyoujis a long time ago, there was an evil tree, named Saigyou Akashi. Truly, Gensokyo is a land of fantasy. It was a vile thing that, if it were allowed to thrive, would plunge the Earth into eternal winter and snuff out all souls in existence. In a relatively unrelated event, Yuyuko discovered that she had the ability to kill people by thinking about it, which is rather distressing and ended with her killing herself. This provided a neat and easy solution to the tree, however, by using her left-over corpse as a home-made seal. Evidently someone in the Afterlife thought she was cute or something so she was promoted to Queen of The Dead and given a mansion as compensation. She didn't remember why she died, so after a while she almost caused armageddon by trying to dig up her own corpse and unseal Saigyou Akashi. The protagonists stopped her, so nowadays she just lazes around the house, tells her stalwart half-phantom manservant Youmu to do things, and hangs with her best bud Yukari the Not-Elder God. One time she stole some booze from aliens and got away with it.
  • Powers:
    • Manipulation of Death: By thinking about it, she can cause anyone and anything that she is aware of to fall asleep and instantly die on the spot. Of course, this is rather overpowered, so consider it nullified upon entering The City. Otherwise, it allows her to talk to spirits, because just like them...
    • Ghostyness: Yuyuko isn't alive! So, naturally, she's rather cut off from the needs of the living. Heat and cold straight up do not affect her (though fire still burns and freezing her still works), she has no need to eat, drink or sleep (even if she still does all three), her heart doesn't beat and she is naturally affected by any kind of exorcism stuff that people do to ghosts.
    • Spooky Floating: She can go through walls, disappear and fly, and is much more unique than the other Touhous. Yuyuko can turn intangible for a period of about ten seconds at a time in intervals of a few minutes for the purposes of this game. Also, she can fly like Youmu does, but slower. She can't actually disappear, though, that was just for the Danny Phantom reference.
    • Monarch of The Dead: She can summon little energy butterflies. They're about the same size as your run-of-the-mill garden variety Danaus plexippus and fly around at her command. They also explode with concussive force.
    • Because Everyone Drinks Tea With Strangers: Yuyuko knows how to create a few varieties of water-soluble poison from rather common ingredients, and is skilled enough to slip them in drinks without people noticing. It's obviously easier to make when you have an entire mansion to yourself, but she could presumably make them out in the field still.
  • Equipment:
    • Hand Fan: An ornate paper fan. It's pretty and expensive.
