On the topic of absorbing souls I figured that wouldn't be possible to do because in Undertale the soul literally comes out of the body when a human dies and we haven't seen that happen with any of the humans who died in the RP, so this sort of thing would only be possible if there's humans from Undertale's universe in the city.

@Full Moon: On the one hand, yes, but on the other hand, if we were to follow that train of logic to its conclusion I would have to say that Sans' soul-based powers shouldn't work on anyone not from the Undertale universe, whether they have a soul or not. We've already set a precedent for "if it's a soul, it works" when it comes to Undertale stuff.

Make a slight change to Call's sheet. I was re-watching her level and concluded that her bow is an item rather than one of her abilities, and also that it's not a crossbow. I guess it doesn't change much in the long run, but it should be a little more accurate now.

Even if I'm signing up as a different character, my previous character will still remain in the City, right? I will change back to Karkat sooner or later, but I just want to make sure before he gets sent back to his universe for a few days then zips back to the city. Anyway...

Story: OFF

Name: The Judge real name: Pablo

Age, gender, and species: A male cat. His age is never stated in or outside the game, though.

Appearance: An odd appearing, cryptic cat.

Personality: The Judge possesses a very polite yet mysterious demeanor, speaking in an eloquent and sententious manner and weaving complex words into his sentences without fault. But despite his aphoristic vernacular, he is still a cat, and of course he does plenty of cat things, like eating food out of a bowl and being petted. He shows disinterest in anything that he doesn't find particularly amusing, but once it gets personal, he'll go to great lengths to prevent, say, the complete annihilation of the world.

Backstory: The Judge is the Guardian of Zone 0 and the first person the Batter (and the Player) meet. He takes the Batter through a tutorial on how to fight and various puzzles, leaving him on his own after he passes through. He doesn't appear again until the Batter reaches Zone 2, when he fights the Guardian Japhet; the Judge can be seen on top of the library in the same area lamenting his brother's death. He disappears once again until The Batter reaches the Room, where he faces off against him in order to prevent the destruction of the world. Depending on who you use to side with, either the Batter defeats the Judge and turns the switch to OFF, therefore destroying the world, or the Judge defeats the Batter and he is left alone in the purified world. Obviously I'll be taking the Judge from the latter path.

Skills/powers/abilities: He is able to use competences, which are the game's equivalent of special attacks.

  • Conniving Aneurysm: A special attack of low impact.
  • Malicious Aneurysm: A special attack of mediocre impact.
  • Critical Aneurysm: A special attack of important impact.
  • Aneurysm Rupture: A special attack of incredible impact.
  • Unknown Sclerosis: A special attack inflicting Muteness,
  • Untypical Sclerosis: A special attack inflicting Blindness.
  • Purulent Sclerosis: A special attack inflicting Poison.
  • Immediate Sclerosis: A special attack inflicting Palsy.

Items: None.

Other: I'm not exactly sure how competences work. However, for the sake of the RP, I'll just make it so that the Aneurysm attacks only do damage, and the Sclerosis attacks ONLY inflict their status effects. No extra, permanent changes.

@Pro Trash: Karkat can stay in the city if you wish, but you can't keep posting for him or else that would effectively be having two characters, which is against the rules.

Anyway, I haven't played Off but I did watch Markiplier's playthrough of it, so I'm somewhat familiar with The Judge. This seems fairly accurate, though I don't think I can approve of your idea for how his skills function.

Given what an aneurysm actually is and my understanding of what they do to people, having an attack that spontaneously gives someone an aneurysm would either do basically nothing or just about instantly kill/seriously cripple them, depending on where in the body the aneurysm actually occurs; there isn't much middle ground.

I think his attacks should just cause indistinct "damage" instead. Also from the way your sheet is written, The Judge would never have any reason to use any of the aneurysm attacks except for Aneurysm Rupture; there should be some sort of drawback to using the more powerful ones, like it taking more effort/energy to use, or having longer cooldowns.

I already thought ahead for that. I would think that The Judge would have to use one of the previous Aneurysm moves to use Aneurysm Rupture, or even all of them in order. I'm totally okay with them only causing some sort of obscure damage, but what about the status effect moves? As far as I can tell, the Sclerosis moves are based on multiple sclerosis specifically, that being a "neurological sickness that includes an insurgent series at the level of the central nervous system." ...While I'm not entirely sure what that means, I know it has something to do with the brain, so if the Judge were to inflict, say, Unknown Sclerosis on a character, what would happen? Would the character suddenly have actual sclerosis, or would the character suddenly be mute with no explanation?

Alright. I can live with the idea that the Judge must use his attack skills in order from weakest to strongest; also no being able to attack up to the third and then holding the fourth for a later battle.

With that, The Judge is accepted.

I finally decided on who I want as a backup character, or characters in this case, and thought I may as well just post it here ahead of time in case there is anything that needs fixing.

  • Story: Shadow Warrior (Chapter 13)
  • Name: Lo Wang
  • Age, gender, and species: Mid-20s, Male, Human
  • Appearance: Who wants some Wang (Hoji's mask typically hangs from his belt on his left side.)
  • Personality: Lo Wang is an odd duck. One one hand he's a hardened assassin who is willing to do a lot if the pay is good, and finds killing large amounts of people not only not disturbing, but fun. He loves the thrill of the fight, and coming out on top, and jokes readily during life or death situations. He's crude, sarcastic, selfish and even cruel at times. Money is the greatest thing in the world to him. On the other hand, Wang is a massive nerd and sees himself as a hero of sorts when he gets the chance to be one. He loves american culture, collects countless comic books and loves to emulate or quote his favourite movies, games, comics etc. He has a secret cave full of weapons and personalised set of armour, and when it comes down to it he genuinely wants to help people he cares for and even has lines he will not cross. And will remove the limbs of anyone else who does. He realizes he's an asshole, and does try to not let it get too out of hand all the time.
  • Back story:
    • Lo Wang was an assassin that worked for the powerful japanese industrial magnate, Orochi Zilla. During a job, where he was tasked with acquiring an ancient katana from a collector. A blade called the Nobitsura Kage. The offer was refused, and Lo Wang was forced to fight his way to the owner to try and take it anyway. He's stopped by a demon called Hoji who was bonded to the collector, and is locked in a cage. A short time later, a horde of demons attacked the compound and he was able to escape. Finding the collector dead, he partners with Hoji in hopes of retrieving the sword from the demons; Which had the power to kill immortal beings and had been divided into three blades some time in the past. Hoji agrees, in the hopes of using the sword to get revenge on those who had banished him to earth.
    • Through his journey with Hoji in the attempt to retrieve the sword pieces for his boss and stop the demon invasion, Wang learns that Zilla had made a deal with the ruler of the Shadow Realm. An Ancient called Enra, he tasked Zilla to retrieve the pieces of the sword in return for a way to cure his paraplegia and the assistance of demons to conquer the earth for Zilla to rule as his own. Enra needed the blade, to sacrifice one of his fellow Ancients to wake his poisoned sister, who was locked in an eternal sleep, and bring rain back to the Shadow Realm.
    • Having learned this, Lo Wang made the decision to continue collecting the blades, so as to keep them out of the hands of both Enra and Zilla and stop their plans from coming to fruition. Hoji, agreeing with the plan, helps Wang get to Zilla's secret base hidden high away in the mountains, where he had the last piece of the sword held for ransom against Enra. This is where their journey in the city will begin.
  • Skills/powers/abilities:
    • Master Swordsman: Lo Wang has trained from a young age to be an incredible swordsman, and is able to take on groups of enemies with just a sword and come out on top. Being a massive nerd, his style also has some more odd aspects to it, for the sake of 'looking cool'. His time with Hoji and meditation has led him to also be effective in combating more spiritual creatures, being able to strike blows that can sever their chi from their bodies; Doing more damage to them.
    • Master Marksman: Lo Wang loves guns, and things that go boom. He is highly skilled in many different types of weapons and can easily pick up the use of new weapons using his previous experiences and natural talent.
    • Martial Arts: Lo Wang is a massive nerd, and so decided he wanted to learn Kung Fu and be like the people in the movies. He's a decent hand-to-hand fighter, and actually knows how to properly meditate, but he's nowhere near as good at martial arts as he is with a sword.
    • Chi Manipulation: Thanks to his bond with Hoji, Wang is able to channel far more chi far more effectively than a normal human can. It also allows him to fight harder, and take more punishment than the average human. He also has the ability to devour the chi of his slain enemies to add to his own. However, his does have a collection of techniques that he mainly uses, and all require the use of one of his hands to perform, leaving him with only one to fight or shoot with. These techniques are:
      • Dragon's Embrace: By channeling his chi in a certain way, Lo Wang surrounds himself with a golden aura of chi that will deflect or block attacks from any angle to a certain degree.
      • Tiger's Roar: Lo Wang channels chi into an explosive technique that sends out a blast of golden energy in a 6 metre radius around him, knocking back anyone in the area.
      • Water Trap: This technique allows Lo Wang to channel his chi into the ground, which affects the directly area in front of him up to 30 metres. Anything caught within that radius is suspended in the air for up to 6 seconds, before the technique fades.
      • Healing Rain: Lo Wang's chi washes through his body, healing up a good amount of any damage he currently has miraculously. However, it can not ever heal him to peak condition, and he must hold the technique until the healing is done, though it happens fairly rapidly.
      • Fire Resistance: Through skilled manipulation of his chi, fire cannot touch Lo Wang and simply slides off of him, leaving him untouched.
      • Pain Control: To skilled chi user, pain is an illusory impediment to enlightenment. Lo Wang can't ignore pain completely, but he knows how to force it to something manageable and continue to fight.
      • Divider Of Heavens: Focusing chi into the front of his blade lets Lo Wang use a focused, frontal chi strike that detonates with great force when it strikes an opponent; Shredding them apart.
      • Circle Of Iron: By channeling his chi in a spinning motion, Lo Wang can strike all nearby opponents surrounding him.
      • Wing Of Crane: By channelling his chi into his blade for several seconds, Wang can fire wave of chi energy outward from a swing of his blade. The wave can easily cut a man in half, but is easily visible and moves slow enough to be dodged if they notice it in time.
  • Items:
    • Nobitsura Kage: An ancient blade forged with the ability to kill immortal beings. However, Lo Wang only possesses two of the three blades that make the legendary weapon. It is still a powerful and deadly weapon, however, and thanks to its mystical properties does more damage with its attacks than any other normal sword could as well as accelerate the regenerative abilities of its wielder, helped along by the life energy it can absorb from its victims. The sword is also anathema to demons, and will destroy any being who touches it that comes from 'shadow'.
    • Tosainu Type 13 Revolver: The Tosainu is one of the most powerful and reliable handguns ever made. It has an 8-round cylinder that fires .455 Tosa rounds.
    • ZI-Type PDW: A Zilla manufactured personal defense weapon that fires Zilla's lightweight 4.6x30 rounds. Lo Wang has two of them that he wields akimbo when in need of extra firepower.
    • Mamushi Type-14 Crossbow: A modern take on an ancient weapon, now primarily used by big game hunters and spec-ops. A silent, rapid-fire crossbow that comes with a mechanism to increase the tension of a shot for more power, and up to three remote high-explosive bolt heads. Holds 20 bolts per ammo cylinder.
    • Shurikens: A massive supply of basic steel shurikens that Lo Wang is deadly accurate with.
    • Body Armour: A set of custom Zilla Industries-made body armour, meaning it is high quality and effective at what it does. It has thicker plates over Lo Wang's vital areas, while covering the rest of his body is more flexible but still protective material. His right arm also has thick plates along it, that he can use to deflect heavy blows from melee weapons.

  • Story: Shadow Warrior (Chapter 13)
  • Name: Hoji
  • Age, gender, and species: Unknown, Male, Demon One of the immortal Ancients
  • Appearance: Man, the party bus came through here!
  • Personality:
    • Hoji is highly intelligent, and proud of his skills and achievements. He has a deeply sarcastic and snarky nature, not seeming to take many things seriously and always joking around even in violent and disturbing circumstances. But, underneath he is filled with an anger and desire for revenge against those that banished him from the Shadow Realm for something he can't seem to remember. He also sees Lo Wang as a friend, and though they still needle and mock each other, they do actually care and get along.
    • He hates most of his family, the rest of the Ancients, and Enra in particular who he sees as tyrannical and cruel. Also currently unknown to him, thanks to having removed his memory of her, Hoji is deeply in love with his sister and expresses great regret and shame at what his actions have done both to her and his home realm and wishes to set them right once he regains them.
  • Back story:
    • At least 200 years before the start of Shadow Warrior, Hoji was one of the Ancients living in the Shadow Realm along with his siblings. He was a kind and intelligent person, who crafted great things. He spent his time in the Shadow Realm building and creating happily. One of these things, was a potion crafted to allow his sister to fall asleep for a time, and give the land a reprieve from the rain so to not be overwhelmed. His sister, Ameonna, had a great power. When her tears flowed, the land saw rain and it would continue for as long as she cried. Needing this rain to survive, Enra, the ruler of the realm and one of Hoji's brothers, locked her away atop a mountain so that her sorrow would keep the land alive.
    • One day, when Hoji climbed the mountain to deliver a potion, he left a toy at her door, out of compassion or curiosity. Ameonna, touched by the gesture and painfully lonely, showed herself to Hoji. The two fell for each other, and with this love came happiness. Her tears stopped flowing, and inevitably Enra climbed the mountain and found them together. Enraged, he tore the two apart, an action with Ameonna chose to side with him on over her love for Hoji, and punished Hoji.
    • His love for his sister, and the belief it instilled in him that he could be more than he was, broke him when she turned her back on him. The love turned to anger and hate, and he swore never to forgive her. Consumed by it and his the hate for Enra's tyranny, he enacted a plan to end it all. He poisoned his sister who slipped into an endless sleep and stopped crying once again. But, he still could never forget her and the day that led him to her, no matter how hard he tried. So, he built a golem called a Whisperer, and tore his memories of his sister from his mind and used them to power the creation. He refused to be ruled by pain, and would die free on his own terms.
    • He was banished from the Shadow Realm to the human world for his actions in creating the golem, where he was only a shade of his former power. Almost literally. He could not interact with anything around him, simply passing through it. At some point, he came into the possession of Miyuzaki, the collector and holder of one of the blades of the Nobitsura Kage. This is where his and Lo Wang's paths crossed.
  • Skills/powers/abilities:
    • Master Craftsman: Hoji is an incredibly talented and skilled craftsman when it comes to working with chi and the magical elements of his home realm. He built every suit of armour his brothers used, and even the Outer Gates which were powerful enough to seal off an entire plane of existence. Sadly, his inability to actually touch things severely limits these skills.
    • Chi Manipulation: As a being of the Shadow Realm, Hoji has great reserves of chi and great talent in using it. Being life energy, it has a great number of uses, such as portals between realms, telekinesis, empowered strength and attacks, and also able to drain chi from other living beings to add to his own etc. However, due to his circumstances, he does not have as much chi as he used to and instead relies on empowering and boosting Wang's chi to inhuman levels to allow him a great number of feats. Thanks to their bond, even if Hoji is not with Wang the boost remains.
    • Mind-reading: Hoji is able to use his chi to read a person's entire mind, down to even inane details about their life, and sift through it instantly to find what he wants or needs. To do this, he has to be if not in physical contact, then close enough to have his hands on either side of the person’s head. Doing so also causes the person a degree of pain for a moment, but nothing close to crippling.
  • Items: His mask. Where he usually resides
  • Other: Due to his banishment and weakened state, Hoji is unable to physically interact with anything in the human world. In fact, the only solid part of him is his mask, where his immortal soul spends most of its time. He can still move the mask around, and form his body at any time, though. Even able to talk in either form out loud or just in Wang's head.

@Alleydodger: I know of Shadow Warrior vaguely and... Apparently I did buy it at some point, though I never got around to playing it. Unfortunately the closest any of my friends have is playing the old original Shadow Warrior, not the remake. So I'll have to check character pages and such later to see if this is all accurate. For now though, I'll just comment on balance concerns for the RP's sake regardless of accuracy.

For Lo, the biggest thing is, that is a lot of firepower for a single character to be packing, especially considering all the skills he's got on top of that. I think only Mega Man X has a similar arsenal, and he doesn't also have magical powers. So unless you want him to be losing some of the abilities, I think some of the guns have to go. I'd say starting with the rocket launcher, the flamethrower, and then the shotgun. (Besides, where is he even carrying all these guns? Nothing on your sheet mentions justification for any sort of Hammerspace.)

As for the skills, they're mostly okay save for the wording on a couple and a rule violation on one. Tiger's Roar can't automatically frighten people; that would be a violation of the rule on mental effects. Divider Of Heavens is, taking the wording you've used at face value, in violation of the rule about nothing that can absolutely destroy anything; it can't just be assumed that it will always 100% of the time shred the target to bits no matter what. And Wing Of Crane is borderline on the same issue with its wording about slicing a man in half if it hits.

When it comes to Hoji, there is a few things that shouldn't really matter given what the sheet says but just for reference: Even if he was at full power he still couldn't make a portal to another realm from the city; also if it was only Hoji or only Lo coming to the city, the bond would be severed.

The only real problem with Hoji is the mind reading. Mind reading itself is fine, after all I allowed Cole in with it. But reading the entire mind, including inane details, all instantly? No way am I allowing that.

@Firock Finion: That's fair, really. And nothing is stopping him from getting his hands on weapons in the city, either, right? He has a tendency to collect weapons, and will be pissed some of his arsenal is missing when he shows up.

Yeah, the hammerspace is never really explained other than that he's the MC of a 90's style FPS, and they tend to carry stupid amounts of weapons. I figured he just strapped them to various parts of himself, somehow.

The change to Tiger's Roar is fine, since it mostly focuses as an area control attack that gives Wang space, anyway. Dropping the fear effect is fine. Divider of Heavens the description was mostly just as a set example of the purpose of it rather than a statement of what it will do to any target. It not being able to kill everything is fine and makes sense, since it couldn't do that in-game, either. Wing Of Crane is pretty much a ghostly sword being swung straight at you with great force. It would slice an average man in half, but there are obviously things that would be able to survive it. Oh, and I found a video that demonstrates a few of these abilities to give you a better idea of what they are and how they work, here.

After playing the game again a bit to take a closer look at the abilities, Wing Of Crane is able to cut the lower level demons in half, and can go through multiple of them if they're standing behind the ones in front.

And yeah, I never expected Hoji to be able to portal out of the city even if he did get enough chi. I wasn't even sure if he'd be able to use it to get around the city from place to place, though I may as well ask.

As for the mind-reading, we talked about it on Skype for a sec and it being not that easy, and picks up a lot of inane info as he searches for something in particular and the stronger the mind the longer it might take, would make sense.

Alright, got distracted hanging out with friends for a while there. Unfortunately Shadow Warrior did not have a character page, for the remake or the original, so I had to skim through its main page instead. Still, it contained enough information that this all seems accurate enough.

Along with the changes that all seems fine to me. As for your question for if Hoji got powered up enough, he could certainly try but the city shifting would make it difficult to go anywhere besides the balconies or library.

Lo Wang and Hoji are accepted.

As usual, this will not be reflected in the active character list unless / until you actually switch to them.

  • Story: Transformers: Beast Wars

  • Name: Waspinator

  • Age, gender, and species: Age is unknown, but he is young, at least. Waspinator is a male Predacon from Cybertron. Predacons are descended from the Decepticons.

  • Appearance:http://vignette2.wikia.nocookie.net/transformers/images/b/bd/Waspinator.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20060309191530

  • Personality: Waspinator is rather dimwitted, talks in a broken third person speech, and often refers to other Transformers by their beast modes. Waspinator also has to be the universe's chew toy. He is continually scrapped and blown apart, over and over. He manages to come back each time, but he still hates it. He often complains about constantly being left in pieces over and over. He was only happy when he was being worshiped as god by early humans. He can be rather cowardly and frightened easily.

  • Back story: Waspinator was a member of Megatron's crew aboard the Darksyde. After the theft of the Golden Disk, they were pursued by the Axalon, a Maximal ship, and both ships where crash landed on Prehistoric Earth. Due to the vast abundance of energon, which proved more of a danger to the Cybertronians, both sides took beast modes. Waspinator is, of course, a wasp. Over time, Waspinator would be scrapped, blown to bits, crushed, shredded into ribbons, and even possessed by Starscream's ghost. He didn't like this at all, and in the end, quit the Predacons. He was able to become a god to early protohumans. This lasted until said protohumans rebelled against him, and he was thrown out.

  • Skills/powers/abilities: Waspinator transforms into a giant wasp, and can shot a purple laser beam from his eyes. He is capable of flight in robot and beast mode. However, his greatest ability is that he can survive being blown to literal pieces, and put himself back together, even after being ripped to shreds. He is very resourceful. Well, if you count being forced to use a toilet at one point to repair himself. Waspinator requires energon as a fuel source, like all Cybertronians. He is also the only Predacon to survive both the events of Beast Wars and Beast Machines.

  • Items: A small gun which fires stingers. It's not very effective.

  • Other: Why universe hate Waspinator?

@Vampireandthen: Ah yes, Beast Wars; something I am personally familiar with enough that I don't have to check any trope pages or ask my friends. This all seems accurate enough.

Though of course as far as the RP is concerned, Waspinator wouldn't literally HAVE to be the universe's chew toy; but I suppose if you really want to play him that way that's up to you. Also given the city respawn mechanics, his propensity to not die is actually more of a hindrance than a benefit.

Waspinator is accepted.

Now again, please reread the rules in the first post of the signups, and you should also check out new changes in the first post of discussion too; if you haven't done either of those things yet. There has been things added since even the last time you tried to sign up. Also, if you haven't been reading any of the main thread at all yet, you should recap from either the start of the current day or at least the last few pages to know what's going on before you start posting again.

So if anyone remembers, I entertained this thought for a bit.

Collective Story: Dark Souls 3

  • Name: Lothric
  • Age: Unspecified. The sickness and years have done a number on him and though he retained some of his good boyish looks and a soft, youthful voice, the sickly pale skin and elongated, even emaciated form adds him some years.
  • Gender and species: Male; a quasi-giant (the royal bloodline has people grow some)
  • Appearance: Boop.
  • Personality: Groomed from birth to become the Lord of Cinder and not knowing much of life outside of that, Lothric became bitter. The idea of greater good, the sacrifice in the name of something that's bound to repeat itself time and time again, that scarred his brother who wished to take it away from him. He's nevertheless a calm and well-disposed person though he is not above caustic sarcasm - of course, delivered so softly you could almost mistake it for him being genuine. He understands the importance of personal interest and dislikes fighting for vaguely outlined ideas. He's become resigned to his fate - as eventually someone would slay both him and his brother - but he continues to defy the idea and that soft yet stubborn resistance carries over to other things as well.
  • Skills/Abilities:
    • He's not bad a mage, capable of conjuring a couple of attacks based on the traditional Sorcery; namely a magic arrow of reasonable power and a couple of smaller ones that can be set to fire off with a delay. He can also teleport on short distances, though that requires a great deal of focus and his own powers. He used to be able to revive his brother, but this magic seems to have been lost after being cast into The Book.
    • He can swordfight to a reasonable degree, but his physical ability is more than lacking - he can barely move around on his own and requires his brother to traverse further distances.
    • It's really fricking bad, that physical ability.
  • Items: The ceremonial robe he was to wear as a Lord of Cinder - that's literally the only clothing he's accustomed to - and a length of stick used both for support and to catalyze his magic into spells.

  • Name: Lorian
  • Age: Unspecified, though he is the older of the two brothers.
  • Gender and species: Male; quasi-giant (he's even bigger than Lothric, but more on that in a bit)
  • Appearance: With Lothric on his back. He moves around on his knees and yet manages to be taller than an average man. Odds are he would reach 4 meters or so if he stood up. If he could stand up.
  • Personality: Lorian was brave, courageous, kind and just about everything his brother was not. Was, indeed: The First Flame scarred his body and mind alike, rendering him a mentally stunted and physically crippled shadow of his former self who can't even stand up. What remained are two things: his abilities as a peerless warrior and his desire to protect his brother, self be damned. If Lothric would tell him to jump, Lorian would ask "how high?" if he could. On his own he's truly akin to a dangerous animal though shreds of consciousness and humanity remain in him and he will refrain from attacking if unprovoked.
  • Skills/Powers:
    • Though most of his technique was lost, his strength and fierceness make Lorian a dangerous opponent to fight in melee. His swings can cleave a man in two with ease, just like his blade can stop the worst offenses.
    • Like his brother, he can teleport on short distances. In his case it's more of a blink, but he can use it more often - frequently even.
  • Items:
    • His giant blade, wreathed in demon flame (Lorian's greatest feat was felling a demon lord and its blood ignited his sword permanently).
    • His set of armor, complete with a spiffy crown.

  • Backstory: In wake of the Flame dying, measures had to be taken to keep the Age of Fire as long as it was possible, for the dreaded alternative was not something anyone wanted to consider. Lords of Cinder, individuals who have once burned in The First Flame to rekindle it, were needed again - this time together - to keep the kiln hot. Of course, it's been a while and being thrown into the primeval fire is nothing too pleasant. Lords of Cinder went mad or willingly escaped their fate.
    • Lothric's fate since he was born was to become a Lord of Cinder. Pale and sickly his entire life, he was given a set of ceremonial robes... and nothing else, even his very clothing - his only clothing - reminding him of his imminent fate. It was then when his elder brother, Lorian - the man of success, martial prowess and kind heart - offered to take Lothric's place in the fire. Despite the warnings he was determined to meet the flame head-on.
    • And it cost him, oh it so cost him. The First Flame razed his body and scorched his mind, turning him from a peerless knight into a barely conscious beast, clinging to his shreds of sanity and to his dear brother whom he recognized as just about any friend who hadn't turned away from him. Lothric thus made a decision to deny the world its salvation: content to just let the clock tick away into The Age of Dark, he and his brother sit upon the ruined Castle of Lothric, putting down any would-be proponents of Linking the Flame again.
    • Well, at least until now.
