Dumbest Fanfic You Ever Wrote?

A long, long time ago, I used to write God-Mode Sue Self-Insert characters to invade the numerous fandoms I know of and have probably broken at least half of the stuffs listed in the What are your personal "red flags" before reading any fanfic?

One of them involved the Self-Insert randomly locking two characters up inside a box to force a Non-Canon ship to happen because why not.

Thankfully, none of those garbage were ever published. Not that any of my fics are ever published in the first place.

A very short Steven Universe fic based on a meme. It is somehow the most popular work on my AO3 account.

I wrote a Ben 10 one as an April Fools joke where Charm and Attea break into where Ben and Gwen are hiding out kiss them and start singing Never gonna give you up.

I'd say it's a tossup between the Trip/melon mpreg crackfic [1], the Clerks crackfic I wrote knowing nothing about that film aside from "origin of Jay and Silent Bob" [2], the Sho/Ringo crackfic I wrote entirely because they're both math geeks [3], and The Only Myriad Kit Fanfiction Anyone Has Ever Written*, which is about a Discord bot.

Though one could argue that "I" didn't write those first three. That's a bit of a philosophical question, I suppose.

Mine is a Legacy of Kain fanfiction called Self-insert Authoress Tripe. Pretty much I appear and explain to Kain and Raziel that they have a choice between not-existing and participating in wacky adventures. I have authoress powers, and a muse that Raziel keeps eating, and it's incredibly random.

The other one is Razzy Plush where my character isn't exactly like me, but close enough. Pretty much dragging the characters out of the video game into the real world. It has a spin-off by another author.

my first ever fanfiction probably counts: "echostar's destiney", a warriors fanfic containing entirely randoma events. highlights include random clan rivalry, a desert next to a swamp, and my personal favorite, a FIRE GOD who showed up for 1 chapter then disappeared. the fire he caused didnt even affect anything, because i time-skipped until after the forest was healthy again.

i faded out of writing it and it ended around chapter 29 i think? i have the whole thing saved on a doc, its nice to see how ive grown when i feel bad about my writing.

I mean, I once wrote the most illogical, random fanfic, I think, ever. It was completely bizarre. And based off a very bad fantheory which has been proved wrong sever times since then. Awful. It is called 'Snoke, the Knife and The Droid' and is still on Archive Of Our Own.

When I was 12, I made a Pokémon fic where Jessie and James had twins, got divorced, each took a twin with them, never talked about this to their kids, and then the twins joined Team Rocket and found each other and learned they were related. Basically, The Parent Trap but stupider.

This took place in the same fic verse where Team Rocket injected Pikachu with poison to kill him and provide some Ash angst.

The dumbest part, however, was the comment I got on it, which criticized me for capitalizing Pokémon names because "it's like capitalizing the word 'dog.'" Never mind that the canon capitalized Pokémon names all the time. That was one thing I got right.

Holy shit, imagine spending over eight years bugging people about doing something that's literally canon. I'm just glad I wasn't alone in being confused as fuck.

There are a handful of people who leave those comments on every Pokémon fanfic that gets posted. It’s a matter of personal preference. Ignore them.

That person's still around in the Pokémon section of FFN, yelling at anyone who follows canon capitalization.

I haven't finished any of the Pokémon fanfic I've started, but they all have a note at the top saying "I'm doing it this way because I want to, fuck off", specifically because of this person.

Game-based fics tend to get that the most though I've seen it on some anime fics too.

Times like that I wish I wrote terrible Digimon fics XD

Getting disproportionate revenge for something happening to his car is like...a good half/third of the episodes.

I wrote a crossover fic between Ranma ½ with The Simpsons. Yeah, that sounds stupid for me right now

I once wrote a Touhou fic called "Yuyuko wants KFC." Its as ridiculous as it sounds. Let's just say I never publicly released it, and eventually deleted it.

I recently rediscovered a FictionPress account I had. There was one story there and it was so bad I deleted it ASAP. (It was a Cookie Cutter Fic of Star Wars with Hamtaro characters and the best lines were cribbed from other movies.)

Thankfully my Fanfiction.net account is much more active and robust (and was also made a year earlier than the other one. Guess I just abandoned FP after posting the one thing. XD)

I was playing Animal Jam on my laptop and I was talking about what my friend about what our parents might have been. You see, my parents are dead and so are hers. For some reason, she started talking about an Ouija board stored in her closet. That was where it all began.

"Is it here?" Said Stephanie, my 12-year-old sister. "I think so," I said as I looked around the attic. "Aha!" I said, spotting an Ouija board. We both started contacting our parents and they came up. Sonia Brown and Dennis Brown. Here's sorta how it went.

"Spirit, I bid you welcome," I said, "if there is anyone there, then my sister and I would appreciate an answer. The Planchlet slid to the "YES" corner, as if it were eager to answer. "Oh my god." Said Stephanie, her eyes wide open, and she wrote down what happened.

"Are you sun or are you moon?" I said, and it flipped towards Sun. I then asked if it was a girl or a boy, and it strangely flipped from boy to girl. I felt my heart pounding and I asked them what were their names. The board said the names of our parents and we gasped. Maybe it wasn't as bad as we thought! They were 41 and 35 when they died, a plumber and a writer that wrote children's stories and hoped that we had happy lives.

It was exciting and we left it for the next week. We hugged each other and hid the board again.

The smile was abnormally large and she repeated the phrase "No-one, its too late, save me" We all screamed and ran away, leaving Lucia in my house.

I wrote this 2nd person fanfic for Jumpstart 3rd Grade where you're sucked into the game and shoot Polly with a gun.

I've written some badfic that never got published, though the one that I would say falls into the realm of "dumb" would be a MLP fic where Discord claims the reason for the Running of the Leaves is that he and Grogar once had a "villain break up" and screwing the seasons was the result. I was doing it as part of a contest (because I'd hit a dry patch with my other mainline work and wanted something different to write), and it all fell apart because I'm not great with prompt writing, the Covid pandemic went into full swing and threw off my writing schedule, I can't write comedy intentionally, and a long-term relationship I was in imploded rather painfully and I wasn't in the mood to write anything after that.

That edgy Pokemon fic I did at age 12 where Jessie and James had twins and got divorced and each took a twin with them a la The Parent Trap.

Even better, the twins were named Lindsay and Logan. Y'know, like Lindsay Lohan.

That’s a hard one since crack is kinda my specialty. But I guess Rabbid Mario shoots Synthv Teto in the head is a notable one.
