The current is a single-panel cartoon apparently taken from here. I don't have any immediate replacement suggestions right now, just wanted to point out the copyright issue so we can look for one.

Fun fact: Chimpanzees (and other non-human primates) are incapable of sufficient randomness to generate a single Shakespeare play in a billion years. You'd be more likely to get a thousand pages in a row filled with nothing but the letter s. The "monkey at a typewriter" is supposed to be a metaphor for a hypothetical machine.

I like 3.4. as well, but where's it from? It does look a lot like another single-panel cartoon. If not that, then 3.5 is my choice; the quality of the others could be better.

How about this cover, from issue #25 of Animal Man? It has the benefit that you can clearly see the ape has written a script of some sort, not just random letters, plus you can pothole it.

That's pretty good...I think I prefer the New Yorker pic but it's a good option, too.
