I don't really see what's wrong with the current, aside from it being a two-panel pic. Can't suggest anything right now, but if we do decide to go with a different pic, rather than Hades, I'd go with Anger from Inside Out.
The current is fine, a before and after is great for this and I love the Pokemon joke. No to Hades though, he is literally always on fire and it just changes color.
