For someone not familiar with how Superman looks, the page picture looks like random people on the train, with the caption saying one of them is Superman. I guess it illustrates the "hidden" well, but it would be unclear to people with no familiarity.

My suggestion would be the top panel from here, from Jitsu wa Watashi wa/My Monster Secret.

Opened...can't look at the suggestion right now, but I rather like the current.

While the current might be a bit dependent on context, the caption supports the image. I would also argue that Superman is one of those examples that is so widely known that most people with at least some pop culture knowledge would recognize it, sort of a lesser Common Knowledge as the image on Luke, I Am Your Father.

I'm not very fond of the suggestion, partially because of the huge Japanese symbols in the center.

"For someone not familiar with how Superman looks..."

Given that they must also use a computer to see the page, I am not sure that such a person exists.

I think the suggestion works better, since even if Mr. Kent is well-known enough to be mostly recognisable, it still relies on that recognition.

On the other hand, the suggestion gives away the ending of a question that's been floating around for a while. Not that major of a spoiler, but it kind of ruins the joke.

Other than familiarity, neither the image nor the caption tells that Superman is hiding, or that someone is looking for him.

It might be interpreted as simply "Superman sitting on a train in casual clothes".

I personally think the current one works for the most part. I'll go with Keep Until Better Image Suggested.

Keep Until Better Image Suggested, I would say. The image focus really helps in this case.

The clock is way past due and what consensus there is is to keep the current, so I'm gonna lock this one.
