Not only that, but when the caption is a paragraph long, you know you've got problems. +1 to pull.
More than that, even the trope name is misleading and often a cause of confusion, but that's an issue for a different thread. Pull this for not illustrating the trope, if in fact it can be.
You've got roaming bands of armed, aggressive, tyrannical plumbers coming to your door, saying "Use our service, or else!"Pull for above reasons.

About half a dozen people opposed to pulling it, and some good arguments I think.
That caption totally sucks though.

Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan. The worst part was that the caption used to just be "The closest you will come to actually seeing it". Now it's just a Wall of Text.
But I wonder if this picture is an improvement. It's from some toy thing called "Monster Under the Bed" that I found on a google search for "evil red eyes in the darkness", since I feel like that can illustrate an Ultimate Evil.
I think it's a better illustration for Eyes In The Dark or a similar trope (to be YKTTW'd). I have some doubts about whether this can be pictured.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanThe point of this is it's something so horrifying that it's not pictured.
Current image isn't great but it does look abstract and evil. Would want to replace it, instead of leaving the page blank.
Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan.Which, honestly, isn't much better than "X shows us how it's done." I have an idea but I need to ponder on it some.
EDIT: Maybe something like "At its zenith, only the abstract can shape evil's form."?

I think it is much better than that. Whereas "X shows us how it's done" adds nothing, the suggestion has relevant information.
Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan. The caption suggestion in 9 is at least an improvement, which is more than can be said for anything else.
Check out my fanfiction! The eyes in the dark might be on to something, though. Is there some other sign of a creature being there, that is otherwise shrouded in darkness? (Bonus points if, in context, the audience never sees the character, and also if it's Obviously Evil.)
Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan.I think the eyes in the dark suggests a much more mundane creature (relatively speaking) than the kind of unimaginable, abstract horror that the trope describes.
Maybe no image. Considering the nature of the trope
No matter what, that stupid caption needs to be pulled.
Yeah, that caption's gunk.
Agreed. Honestly, unless we can find something like the image on Nothing Is Scarier or something that works (which is going to be quite hard to do given the trope's nature) I say this trope doesn't even need an image.
No image is better than current.
Wait... does that mean that the current image is so good that nothing can top it, or that it's so bad that it's better to leave the page blank than use said image?
I think he means having the page be blank is better than the current pic.
I could swear that we have a gag somewhere with a blank picture with a caption. If we don't, this might be a good place for it. "This is all you'll see of a villain like this" or something.
Yes, that joke is made on several pages.
Invisible Monster still, and formerly on Artifact of Attraction and Blatant Lies.
Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan. So, are we pulling, replacing, or leaving it up? None of the suggested replacements are really astounding, and I'm in favor of having no picture as it really doesn't seem necessary in this case.
I vote for changing the caption to the suggestion in 9, and that's all.
Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan.
Based at the image alone, the image doesn't relate to the trope at all and relies far too much on the caption to explains why it works. Given the nature of this trope's supertrope, I vote to pull.
