So Chivalry, Tales Of Graces 2.0? Stella looks and acts so much like a busty Cheria it's really not funny.

[up] A Cheria that's very very geared toward offense.

Shitty LN adaptations, because I'm bored and hate myself:

Asterisk: Not good, being composed almost entirely of cliches, with clunky dialogue, but it's well made, with solid direction and high production values

Rakudai: Has the great misfortune of airing on the same day as Asterisk, which it is incredibly similar to, but with maybe half the budget and not nearly as well directed. Bit more comedy and character focus and an over-arcing theme, but none of these things are particularly good

So far, sounds like this season is gonna suck, the way you guys talk about it.

Ahh how I long for the days of Psycho Pass and Attack on Titan. Not ... Attack on Titan Highschool AU...

Mari Okada Gundam: it's got potential. Maybe like, Aldnoah Zero, only good. It's also got cute shotas. And a cool dude named Biscuit.

Speaking of the Shingeki Chougakkou anime, it's made of WTF.

What? No! I actually liked every show I've seen so far. Mind you, I pre-selected which shows to watch, and didn't bother with the rest, so this might have something to do with this.

Owarimonogatari is SHAFT showing that they've hit their stride when it comes to Monogatari. Directing feels a lot more solid comapared to S2, not to mention them awesome soundtracks and general Ougi shenanigans.

Noragami Aragoto suffers from budget problems because, like always, BONES always places their adaptations after their originals (Nobunaga Concerto). Other than that it's the Noragami we know and love. I'm really really hoping they won't create another original arc, God that whole skit with Rabo sucked.

Utawarerumono starts off as comfy as the first season (which I should mention I'm watching concurrently), I found the first season has aged pretty well for a nine-years-old anime. Amnesiac protagonist, tailed people, monster threat, classic. Kuon isn't as cute as Aruru but eh, still too early too judge.

Heavy Object showcases giant balls of doom blowing each other up. Episode 1 is solid except for that out-of-place suffocating belt scene. As long as they didn't pull too much of that I should be able to stick with this until the end.

Still waiting on: Comet and OPM (which I downloaded but haven't gotten around watching yet), Perfect Insider, Gochuumon and Yuru Yuri (A hard sell; my standards on So L has went up after recently finishing K-ON, Kyo Ani knows how to spoil you), Owari no Seraph, and Hidan no Aria AA (for some reason, I have faith in Dogakobo).

[up] Yuru Yuri and K On are really two completely different things. K On is a So L with some comedy moments, Yuru Yuri is a comedy with So L as a background.

Yuru Yuri is a series where Odango Hair missles is a running gag and the main character has to fight to stay relevant or literally turn invisible.

[up]Calling them two completely different things is a bit too far, although I see the point you're trying to make. K-ON is definitely in a high place as far as the genre goes, though.

Concrete Revolutio: Choujin Gensou is certainly very colourful and has an interesting Fantasy Kitchen Sink setting. The first episode's flash-forwards were a little annoying in how they were handled though.

Time for todays shorts:

Onsen Yousei Hakone-chan: A comedy about Onsen spirit that awakens after long sleep and gets into hijinks and the guy working at the onsen who takes the burnt of those. Hilarity Ensues. Funny, harmless and short, worth to keep watching for few additional laughs every week.

Komori-san wa Kotowarenai!: A slice of life comedy fourteen-year-old Komori Shuri is a junior high school girl who is too nice to decline requests. Having read the manga, I can attest that those stretches will be funny except those moments when they get surprisingly deep and heartwarming instead. High recommendations from me.

I'll review the longer anime after watching them.

Komori's breasts are comically exaggerated, all things considered...

Well, she's way more developed than her classmates and it shows. Did you notice how tall she is?

Time for originals!

G-Tekketsu: Probably should have been two episodes. Would not be surprised if it originally was, given Sunrise's policy on having Gundams in the first episode. Still, managed to be fairly solid despite the somewhat rushed pacing

Comet Lucifer: 's okay. Feels like a JRPG and a mecha show awkwardly fused together. Still, will give another episode

Concrete Revolutio: Strange and camp. I liked it!

Concrete Rev. did the thing, where they explain absolutely nothing in the first 5 minutes of the show, which inevitably causes me to immediately drop it.

You should really give shows longer than that. I mean, if you don't like being confused Concrete Revolutio absolutely isn't for you, but, like, in general

Nah, I'm good. I can't think of a single exception to that rule, where something just started out with this stupid random thing without explanation ,and the series ended up being watchable.

And as to shows that I ditched super early on and later went on to watch and actually enjoy, that's limited to ... Psycho Pass I think? So, n of 1.

That was by Trigger; so, if a studio has proven itself and I know what I'm getting into, okay, we can give some leeway. Also, I'm a big fan of geopolitical diatribes.
