Charlie and Nom Nom have had a fair number of appearances in a short amount of time, so I figure we'll see Lucy again sooner or later.
Anthropomorphic-ness only applies to the design of an animal, that really only applies to Charlie.
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.I've realized that aside from Steven U, this is the only current CN show that I really look forward to. Which is a surprise to me. The show is....hmm, So Okay, It's Average doesn't seem quite right. It's more that while the show is perfectly enjoyable, it often doesn't stand out that much. It might be because it's newer, so I haven't grown tired of it like CN's other shows, but I think it's because even though the writing is simple, collectively the three bears are very endearing characters.
I like it because it's an odd mix of today's darker humor ("Where's your gun?") and progressive elements (the lady with the hijab), yet it manages to be something like a Sugar Bowl. It's just so cute and likable, something that a lot of cartoons nowadays only use as a facade. (Which I have no problem with either.)
Currently writing something. Currently procrastinating.I love the bears' reactions to Panda's first sneeze. They remind me of a cat being startled by a loud noise.
Their reactions were really hilarious.
Trust you? The only person I can trust is myself. On another topic, I'm a little leery of future cub episodes. I liked the first one, but I found the second one underwhelming. The reason is because they're a Failure Is the Only Option situation. We know that they're never going to find a home, and that they'll just have each other until they move into their cave. If they do more baby bear episodes, then I'd rather they use them as an opportunity to tell us something significant about the bears, and not just rely on comic antics.
I basically feel the same way. Though seeing what they were doing before they found their cave how their lives end up is already a foregone conclusion. It takes some of excitement out of it.

That's why I want a cub episode set earlier than the other two that shows how they all met in the first place.
I am hoping we eventually get to see that, since the flashback in "Burrito" implies that they haven't always been together.
Panda's sneeze was so cute it was almost manipulative.
That scene in "Primal" where Grizz orders food while trying to fight off his feral brothers should've played out more like the Invader Zim episode "Invasion of the Idiot Dog Brain".
""Okay, so I got one veggie boy burger, one fish boy sandwich extra mayo and a medium god-please-Panda-don't-claw-my-eyes-out. You want a drink with that?""
Hey, anyone knows what is the name of the music that plays at the start of the Nom Nom episode? I'm wondering if there's a trope for it...
I did some digging, and I managed to find it. It's the overture of La Gazza Ladra.

The relevant bit starts at about 4:20. No page for the tune, but here's the page of the guy who composed it.
I'm really happy that a new Cartoon Network original show has come along that doesn't try too hard to be groundbreaking like Adventure Time or Steven Universe nor edgy like Regular Show that also invites a shared audience of kids and adults, unlike Teen Titans Go, Uncle Grandpa, Clarence, and a lot of The Amazing World of Gumball. We Bare Bears is a hilarious show (largely because of Ice Bear), but it is also a show that truly anyone can watch, with minimal radar jokes and just a generally positive atmosphere, unlike many of even the most acclaimed of kids shows' on the air today. I ask all parents to watch it with their kids if you get the chance.
It can't be helped. Here's something interesting: a deleted scene from "Chloe."
Was Ice Bear sleeping with his eyes open? :o
Currently writing something. Currently procrastinating.Ice Bear is best Midwife.
You know, for some reason my cable guide summary lists "Charlie Ball" as an episode about Chloe having to spend the night at the bears' house due to a storm. Now, obviously that wasnt the plot of the episode, but i guess we do have a plot for an upcoming episode.
They get those wrong sometimes...the bad thing is, they never get fixed.
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.Strong baby. From strong biker blood.
"We be we baby!"Episode list for the coming month:
Mar. 3 - "Slumber Party"
Mar. 10 - "Bear Cleanse"
Mar. 17 - "Nom Nom's Entourage"
Mar. 24 - "Rooms"
I do want to see some of the secondary cast interact with each other. Chloe and Lucy, perhaps?
