Now, when you say "vintage voice synths of the past"...?
Insert witty 'n clever quip here.

I mean things like old voice chips from arcade games (like the TSI S 14001 A heard from Berzerk or the Votrax), to Texas Instruments speech synth, even the first computer to sing, the IBM 704. The site description mentions that they're mainly voice synthesis from the 80's.

I think Kraftwerk used stuff like that for their Computer World album.

So, there's a VST/Speech Synthesizer called Chipspeech, created by Plogue Art et Technologie, Inc. where the voices are made to recreate vintage voice synths of the past.
There are currently eight vocals that come with the program, each with a character associated with it for recognizability, as illustrated by Pixoshiru. It comes with many settings that can be adjusted to create a variety of results, and comes with lots of presets that can be used too. In addition, there is also circuit bending emulation for some of the voices.
Something very special about Chipspeech is that all of the characters have official Twitter accounts that Twitter users can interact with and learn more about the characters. Hilarity Ensues, of course. The chiptwitters are as follows:
I hope you guys here love Chipspeech as much as I do! Or, at least notice it's existence.
